  • We have had the new DR112DSP for a week and have been impressed with the speaker overall for the price you will pay and what it offers in terms of sound, features, build and price.
    We put alongside a QSC K12.2 just as a benchmark as the QSC is a well proven performer and a staple in the industry.
    Not a full on sound test just a quick side by side last look at product.

    I have 2 of the dr115, they are very loud and sounds good for the price you don’t really need to buy a qsc, rcf or jbl, can’t go wrong with the price

      Im still waiting for shipment to arrive after ordering in April which is annoying as i want to try 2 at the same time.
      Perfect for Djs i reckon

      But what I’m hearing is in the critical mids they're average , so whilst they look similar to Presonus and QSC they don’t quite make the cut, good for DJ’s but not for foldback or FOH.

    I have been using DR112 for 1 year, I haven't had any problems. The middle frequency is weak but the bass and high frequencies are fine. Very soft on vocal and string instruments. I can recommend Yamaha Dbr and Turbosound Milan series as similar products, but their sound is hard...

      Thanks for sharing your knowledge after a year of use im glad its holding up.
      I agree with you on the sound it does feel soft in some areas.
      There seems to be more products in that price point that are comparable and offer alot for the money which is good for all of us who cant afford Dynacord!!

      It's the same as thomanns box pro dsp 18" which I had. It was a big well made solid unit with a decent looking driver but the 800w RMS amp driving it likes to clip a little too early for my liking. I think the box is tuned too low for the components to give enough output as it seems over engineered for the lower than wanted output. Don't get me wrong it's ok and pretty decent for very little money but way too big and heavy when in the UK you could buy a HH sub for around the same which smokes it. If you want similar priced cabs that perform better as well as the HH the Gemini , alto or Tek audio 😉.

  • @bennettshapiro2965
    @bennettshapiro2965 2 роки тому +4

    Wow. No real comparison between these two. The QSC blows the Behringer away. The Behringer seems to be missing a bunch of information in the mid range. And because of that, the high-end sounds much too pronounced. QSC wins.

    I have the 112DSP and ive had it for about a month. Ive been having horrible issues with clipping / limiting since i got it. Ive tried setting the DB on all frequencies low and have even tested with super low volume coming from my dj controller. It seems no matter what level i play them at i continue to have issues. Running 1/4 inch cables to channel 1 and 2 with both volume knobs at 12oclock. Seems that it happens about every minute and the music sounds like a high pass filter for about 5-10 seconds. What can i possibly be missing here?

      This speaker model continues to throw up problems for a large number of users.
      The limiter seems to kick in at any point in use, there are many problems with this speaker.
      I use the settings advised by Eric Chee, set to music, - 7 on the high and the low, with 0 for the middle and the sub setting on at 80HZ
      This seems to work with the speaker wide open, but I have had nothing but problems with the speaker, good luck sir
