Arrowquip is hands down the best cattle equipment manufacturer on the market. Their customer service is elite. Our 74 has been rock solid the past three years
Wow!! It has been a long time since I've used a squeeze shute on cattle and that one has some awesome improvements that I wish we had doing vet work and preg checking. Definitely, alot of safety ideas went to designing that shute. Nice job, Ryan and Hannah!!!!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Arrowquip seems to have become the standard on UA-cam. Thanks to Arrowquip for sharing their products with the How Farms Work channel and family. Wishing you and your family the best.
You should love your new chute Tom Pemberton farm life also has a chute like that and he loves his. Though he loaded his with extra features like motors to operate the jacks to get the wheels on and off as well an extra compartment with a weigh scale.
Great Video, a great cute is very important when your handling cattle, the arrow is very impressive and Hannah was an excellent sales person, thanks for sharing
Always hard work selling somthing to farmers .... but she did a grand job of explaining everything 😊... wish the pickup/worktrucks over here were like that to.. its hard to get one that would fit a pallet 😮.. Great respect on the interview as well Ryan... 👍🏻 stay safe 🏴
Unless you are implanting, dehorning, or tagging, take the head holder off. Move the handle to the back, by the rear gate so you can shut gate as you catch heads. Arrowquip is probably the slickest chute made. You can work calves in sub minute time with them. I am fortunate enough to be able to work with one. HUGE upgrade to the previous chute. 👍👍👍 to your purchase!
Great score Ryan & Hannah. I've been watching "Our Wyoming Life" for quite some time and their Aeroquip system, several pens, chute and loading ramp. I watched you all struggle using the vet's and shutter knowing of a better way. Last year they added a scale to track their "Finishing School" stock weight to better judge how much grain to feed. If you have the time, checkout a recent preg check video of theirs.
Depending on the current use of the milkhouse you could raise it as course or two of block and keep the new equipment inside there as a pass through for the cattle with doors on either end.
Hey Ryan That is a nice pc of equipment To have on your farm It is easy to put the tags on your cattle Versus the old fashion way That cowboys would do Doing it the cowboy way The cow may get loose or somebody could get hurt.
Hi from oz Ryan. I know our farming system is different to yours (generally in one block) and almost every one has permanent fixed yards. There are multiple equipment companies here and they all publish plans for yards from basic (for working 50 head to top range (500 head plus). I suggest looking at some websites to get ideas if thinking about permanent systems at all.
When designing your corral for the chute put some thought into building the ‘bud box’ it’s great idea and design and works well when built correctly.. pretty cost effective too
Panel your crowding gates. Cattle can't see where they came from, so they don't want to go back. Doesn't have to be fancy, just block the view. Bud Boxes may save you the expense of a tub, but I don't know your layout. I'm sure you will love that chute!
I think it would be physically impossible for them to step over because it keeps upward pressure on them. They would have to step on a rail with each step to keep it down. I have to try pretty hard when I walk over it not to sing soprano.
Hopefully we don’t have to run many small ones through. I didn’t like the idea of it at first but with the head holder I think it has to help keep the cows heads where you need them
That is a nice chute but the price is so high most farmers can't afford them . I guess they have to jack the price up because they give away so many to all these you tube guys. Ha Ha
She seemed so nervous explaining the chute on camera but she did a great job!
I think it was her first time on camera. She came prepared though and did great!

You definitely put her on the spot lol she did great explaining everything, our Wyoming life has the ultimate arrowquip setup
Nice chute I'm wanting one so bad. Maybe one day. Congrats

Awesome chute! They make working cattle safer for the cattle and the people.
Best chute made I've had one for 5yrs your going to love it !!!
Have had a series 84 arrowquip for several years. Really like it. Long before OWL. Put a scale under ours. Good for cows and calves.
That's a nice chute! It was great to hear all about this setup👍😉
Congratulations on 300K subscribers
Thank you so much 😀
I just bought a new 8700 with alley and tub portable the best thing since sliced bread
Hey Ryan!! Nice addition to the operation.
Thanks Doc!

Great piece of equipment for you! Glad to see Hannah more often! In this case she helped delivery gal to relax a bit! Keep the great videos coming!

Wow congrats Ryan well deserved should make things a lot easier now when handling cattle
Yes arrow equipment is great need to watch our Wyoming life he has one and he can load up cows or separate them
Another good video Ryan, and a very fancy new chute looks like it will make your life a little easier, and take it easier on your back.
Really Really nice chute. Wow. Thanks😊
Seemed nervous but did a good job explaining.
We got some arrow dealers near us and they always have stuff on hand and good to work with

I love the head holder. Could have used that the other day tagging cows
I'm tired of getting my hand smacked against the chute when trying to tag them so it's been a long time coming for one of those!
Nice chute
Great video Ryan that’s one nice chute 👍
Depending on the current use of the milkhouse you could raise it as course or two of block and keep the new equipment inside there as a pass through for the cattle with doors on either end.
I fully expected Hanna to try it out... with U! LOL, U'd look funny with your head in that head lock!
That works slick. Better than a old shute especially with the wheels and stuff. Like the Cadillac of cattle shoots
It is
Ryan I hope you are feeling better ❤
awsome video ryan thumbs up and shared
Good video
Mighty stuff Everybody, Happy dosing, tagging and squeezing, very nice unit💯👌👍🙏😎
Been wondering when you was going to get in with Arrowquip. Have seen several You Tube operators using them and they seem like a great system.
Hey Ryan That is a nice pc of equipment To have on your farm It is easy to put the tags on your cattle Versus the old fashion way That cowboys would do Doing it the cowboy way The cow may get loose or somebody could get hurt.
she was nervous on camera explaining the chute but did a fanstatic job
that is a very nice set up
Nice chute!
You'll like your chute headgate.

Good job brother, love to you from Pakistan
We call em' a crush over this side of the pool.
Vegans here would claim that’s where the cattle are tenderized if we called them that
Hey Ryan! How ya feeling!
Hey Micah! Getting better for sure! I'd say I'm at about 95% now!
Cattle shoot,awesome
Good content. 👍
Way to make her nervous Ryan!! Lol. She did very well despite the pressure. Haha. It's hard to live that YT life.

Good advice, thank you!
Boy that's head gate is the Berries.
Amazing 🤩
I was wondering how long before you guys got your own chute again. Looks like a very nice chute. I'm sure you guys will get a lot of use out of it
Did you buy it ?
Perhaps those recycled trusses could make a maternity/working area roof.
Build A roof over it to protect it from the weather
I was just going to say the same thing! Quality piece of equipment and it should be protected from the elements.
hey Ryan what kind of tree was was that stump in the background that thing must have been huge
There were 3 large Chinese elms in the yard. A large limb fell off in the derecho of 2020 and landed on the roof of the house so we took them all down
What prevents the cows from wandering through the drive over gates?
I think it would be physically impossible for them to step over because it keeps upward pressure on them. They would have to step on a rail with each step to keep it down. I have to try pretty hard when I walk over it not to sing soprano.
@@HowFarmsWork😂😂
@howfarmswork. Thanks for the response.
Get your tub matched up with that and working cattle will be a breeze
Are you getting a bigger grain cart this year?
We're using our same old grain cart setup!
And there was me expecting to catch a glimpse of Denzel Washington or Edward Woodward. Did I blink and miss it? 😉😁👍
I wish Hannah would go to the next farm convention with me 😊
Sternum bar sucks on smaller calves I have a 74 series but I don’t have a rubber floor and they slide all over the place on the steel
Hopefully we don’t have to run many small ones through. I didn’t like the idea of it at first but with the head holder I think it has to help keep the cows heads where you need them
I would sent your chute up where you have shade from the sun its much cooler for you and the cattle
send one my way lol looks good tho..
GoTo to Sonne farms Brian and Cole they have a super Arrow Quip unit
🇨🇦
👍👍❤🐂
Couldn't you see how nervous she was because of the camera ???
Yeah but that’s normal for first timers. She prepared for it 😂
Low class, unsubscribing !!!!!
That is a very unhappy piece of beef.
That is a nice chute but the price is so high most farmers can't afford them . I guess they have to jack the price up because they give away so many to all these you tube guys. Ha Ha
I guess that's the theme get on you tube get fancy chute. Would be awesome to be able to afford them
buy the mrs a new hot tub worth more star points in the long run
Really nice cattle chute Ryan, bet it cost you a pretty penny? Greetings from the great state of Tennessee. 🚜🚜🦝
