Thanks for posting this. I vaguely remember this as i was just a child when i rode it. That's such a great ride to view the animals upclose. well at least the monorail station will be put to good use now :(, finally.
@sideslide23, I worked at Busch gardens back in the eighties. I remember the ride would break down a lot. It cost a lot of money to operate so I'm sure that's why they tore it down. I also remember twice that the monorail ran off the track because they switched the track to put on more monorails.. Both times the operator did not realize that they switch it. (since the track is above) It was only the first car that fell since it was moving very slow. Luckily nobody was hurt.
after getting rid of the old overbeam monorail, they should have built a new monorail system similar to the monorail system we use in Disneyland California, the underbeam is lot safer and faster than the train than hangs under the beam instead on the beam.
Nope, defunct. No accidents involved, it just was getting really old, repair costs were rising, downtime like 70% of the time, and the animals were nawwing on the monorail poles and getting hurt by them.

I remember that. after they tor it down I looked in the station and the trains were still parked in there. but that was several year ago

Wow that's an old video. The old monorail station is now used for Cheetah Hunt.
Was there just a month before you shot this but sadly, monorail was closed down on that day, always regretted not being able to go on it.
