- It had been over 3 years since I had this crossover in mind. Unfortunately, my motivation to actually make it happen wasn't enough and so I've shelved the idea. I must say that I underestimated just how much of a task this series may become in the near future that I just didn't have the right mind set to do it. It also doesn't help that the scripts from when I was writing this series back in middle school are long gone, so I am rewriting a lot of the events from memory along with adding some new events into the mix such as this scene. So far, this is the only scene that has been completed or at least near-completed.
Anyways, I do hope that I can keep up my motivation up long enough to do the rest.

I guess you could say that this is the new continued story of SMBZ Saga

Neera is literally out of her mind. She’ll get badly injured and wounded. I just hope Sonic and his friends make it first before Neera gathers the info.
I mean she doesn't have an idea about Mecha Sonic. If she knew what he's capable of and yet went after them, then yeah. She's crazy.
@@Dr.PaiPai definitely, Shadow, Sonic, Silver, Blaze, or Knuckles would literally roflstomp the entire FP verse, let alone Neera li on her own against freakin Mecha Sonic.
@@Brendan-kx8iy We can't say for sure. We don't know much about the FP verse to make a claim about which series is stronger. Wait for more games to come out before making such a statement.
@@Dr.PaiPai Actually, we do know enough, and Lilac struggles with people who have regular speed like Neera Li and struggles with Building Level threats. The people on the discord even said to me that Lilac can't go faster than sound nor does she actually have super speed. The official discord by the way, the fastest canonical speed is Lilac trying to keep up with an aircraft.
Meanwhile Sonic even from X can move faster than lightning and no sell 550 tons of force being pushed down onto him. He murders Lilac.
@@Dr.PaiPai And until Lilac displays better feats in later games, we can safely conclude that as of now, even SATAM Sonic roflstomps everyone in freedom planet given he's Mach 5 casually. And thats essentially the weakest Sonic, besides Underground Sonic. There's even evidence for SATAM Sonic being at High Hypersonic speeds, meanwhile Lilac is at best Mach 4 when highballed.
After 3 years this finally going to be a thing! I'm so excited! Your animations are always top-notch.

I love Freedom Planet and the videos with the Mario and Sonic crossover so the idea appeals to me.

Anyway, is this supposed to be some kind of unofficial Sequel for or retelling of Super Mario Bros. Z or something?
Most likely the former, I've been thinking about where to take this series. This wasn't originally supposed to be related to SMBZ but it slowly became that as time went on. More or less, this is based off the original continuity of SMBZ in an altered timeline. I say altered as in, because of the original series's cancellation, I had to fill the gaps of what could have been. As such, I've looked into whatever details I could find to form a timeline of events that would have happened after the Mecha Sonic saga.
I've even thought up of revisiting the aftermath of major locations at some point like Yoshi falls being large cascade of waterfalls of what was once Yoshi's island or the crash site of Bowser's doomship and the what not
@@chris6471 heh, well SMBZ has been a source of inspiration for a while now, so I don’t think anyone can fault you for eventually going in that direction,
Actually, in my opinion, i think it just makes this series of yours even more interesting to me.

3 years ago: Prototype, 3 years later Final
I'm planning on making a sprite series that's story based off of Naruto, and Dragon Ball Z, and I plan on using characters from Mario, Sonic, Pokemon, Digimon and Freedom Planet. I don't know when I plan to get started but as soon as I'm done with my script for the sprite series I'm gonna animate originally and take inspiration from other sprite animators. When I'm done with my script of the first episode I like to send it to you and I'd like you to ask any questions of my script that I plan on animate.

also, what is that orb he absorbed? It doesn’t appear to be the Kingdom Stone.
It is a fragment of the Kingdom Stone before it transformed into the "Kingdom Spiral", it contains a mere fraction of what the original Physical Kingdom Stone contained. There is more than one of them and they have scattered in not only Avalice but also into Mario and Sonic's world.
Also, on the subject of Mecha Sonic, I decided to call this iteration of him as "Mecha Sonic Nexus". He's more or less identical to his Turbo variation, one of the few differences being in his looks and his ability to summon Avalician Shields.
@@chris6471 Fascinating. Now, considering Mecha Sonic Nexus should logically stronger than his Turbo counterpart... I believe Neera has no idea just exactly what kind of *monster* she is about to face.

Yo, what programs do you use for animation and exporting?
I use Flash Professional 8 for animation, Hitfilm Express for editing, and Swivel for exporting.

@@chris6471 Yo. Just uploaded my first go at making a parallax effect. Just getting started with animation. Having a bit of an issue though. Whenever i try to loop the backgrounds scrolling, there is a 1 frame delay before it starts moving again, causing to "stutter" at the point it loops, making it obvious. Curious as to if you've encountered this problem before, and if so how'd you solve it?
