Thanks for documenting your experiences it makes me feel normal 😅I was also worried about catching colds and virus’ but I haven’t had one yet. It’s my 1 year anniversary of starting Infliximab. I was so poorly, this time last year I was 49kg I’m now 60kg. I lift weights and lost all of my muscle when poorly 💪🏻 I was in a bad way from the illness and also the IV and oral steroids which have horrific sides. I’ve been watching a lot of IBD content lately just remembering the trauma that was last year 😂 I’m so grateful and lucky that the Infliximab has worked for me
That’s amazing to hear it’s had such a life changing impact for you! I’ve experienced a similar effect from it too. We can rebuild, my video coming out Sunday details how I rebuilt my muscle and got into the shape I am in now. It might be of interest to you.
Immunosuppressants are a blessing but you should be working on identifying your root causes which would allow you to slowly taper off or space out your injections. Many have done it and you can too. I had UC for over 10 years and got myself from biologics to colitis free. I do have some speed bumps every few years but I'm always able to get back on track with a short prednisone + mesalamine course before discontinuing them all together.
