Today's air check features clips from the morning show at KLTY 94.9 in Dallas in the 1990s. Jon Rivers & Tommy Kramer spent several years as the morning drive hosts of Christian AC KLTY's morning show. Both Jon & Tommy had long histories on Dallas radio. On this aircheck, you get a quick sample of their wit & chemistry.
It’s a fun morning show that sounds like it’s on a well put together AC station, but since it is Christian AC, you find an element of Faith in the presentation.

Oh man, I remember listening to this station when I was living in Dallas in the 90's going to bible school. I forgot about Jon Rivers - it's been ages since I last heard his voice!
I remember when Salem switched the dial around. Salem owned 94.1 KLTY and 94.9 KWRD. They shifted KWRD over to 100.7 and then KLTY took on 94.9. 94.1 was taken over by a Spanish station if I recall.
I was either 12 or 13 years old living in Glendale queens nyc with my mom and my brother
jon rivers on the POWERLINE many a night in the late 80's driving from here to there and in the late it was the PUBLIC service on the "secular" stations there was this must carry 2 or so hours a week and it would be on in the middle of the night. THANK the LORD JESUS on this RESURRECTION SUNDAY 2022 as I remember how THE LORD was with me in my YOUNGER years.

Sounds like they're saying, "94.1."
They were at 94.1 from 1987 (as KOJO) until 2000. They moved to rim shot 100.7 and Salem bought out KLTY and moved them to 94.9.
It must have been a sweeps week the way they keep shouting the call letters!
