Thanks for the humor in the videos Josh. Most RV videos are like watching paint dry. I love this layout, the cabover and roof design, the double fridge, the full size oven, dinette drop down vs. a pole, leveling system, soft-touch ceiling, extra seat belts, and the separated shower from the bath.
Well I could either practice for open mic night at the comedy club on my dog or risk my entire paycheck doing it online to thousands of people on youtube. This just seemed like the more logical answer. I mean.. OBVIOUSLY.
Thank you, thank you, thank you... for closing up the slides and letting us see it closed. NO ONE has shown us that in any of the other videos. You are awesome!
My wife & I looked at Jayco 29MV (2nd time looking at this floorplan 2017 & 2018), 2018 30X and 2017 & 2018 Fleetwood 31U. I think we're down to these 3 to choose from and detailed videos like this help keep what we've looked at fresh in our minds.
UN-believable bargain basement price on this one!!! WOW Josh... I really mean it... is this price approved??? With these amenities I thought way way more...
You provide great overall videos, especially the inside view when the slide is closed. One recommendation I would make is use the ladder & let folks see what the roof area looks like. Very few companies will show the roof and customers concerned about the differences / quality of roof, including where full body paint starts/ends, ease of annual maintenance / cleaning, etc.
This is awesome feedback and I agree completely. The hiccup is I generally try to refrain from stopping/cutting/splicing videos unless it's unavoidable (like a battery about to die 12 minutes into a walk-thru). I have always felt there is something more honest and genuine about a one-shot walk-thru. There's no hiding anything and it's all plain and obvious to see. With one hand on a camera I just cannot safely navigate a ladder during a video. I tried it once and nearly fell off *lol*. So let me ask you -- would you be okay if I paused a video briefly, cut to a roof shot, then resumed with the interior? It means extra time invested in what are already quite lengthy videos. That's another thing I have to consider -- time allotments.
My recommendation: State, "We're gonna pause to climb up the ladder to show you the feature of the roof". Then resume the video and then do in reverse. "We're gonna pause again to safely get back down to continue the tour."
First thing I noticed is the new mod interior!! WOW!! The combination of the new flooring & lighter color of decor gives this Jayco a spacious look!! LOVE the dark cabinets & most of all the YUGE fridge!! Overall, this is a gorgeous Jayco motorhome!! :)
After looking at this one and the 31FS, John suggested maybe we should look both of these over and consider one or the other instead of a 5th wheel. So now maybe if these are what we need, we would sell the truck and trailer. I do like the videos, but I have to walk through both and see what we would get. Our kids think it's more conducive to what we need because after all we aren't getting any younger. I can't help but wonder how it would work for us 2 seniors plus 2 senior dogs and 2 cats. We already do not have any room
I liked the power outlets around the bedroom, the windows in the bed slide and the fantastic fan (it could have used another one too). Love that the bed is accessable without a slide out. My wife and I are not a fan of the shower in the hall way. I would also like to see a TV directly in front of theater seating. Thanks for sharing this video, great job!
The Class A version of this from Jayco has the furniture arrangement you're looking for. I think they just didn't want to kill the necessary cabinet space required to put the RV across from the sofa. Check out this one: www.haylettautoandrv.com/rv/coldwater+mi/jayco+classagas/7571/jayco+precept+31ul Has the entertainment setup you seek. I believe the 35S has it as well.
Great information on the warranty and construction of the Jayco Greyhawk. Learned several new things watching this video which gives me more confidence about purchasing this product!
Thanks for the detailed video. It is especially nice to see the motorhome with the slides in. It's rare to get this view in a product demo video. Helpful to know what you have for space rolling down the road or overnighting in a rest area or Walmart where you can't open the slides.
On demand, tankless hot water! Yes! I do wish they had the combo convection oven/microwave oven. I guess that means their research is showing that owners are using the standard oven? I do like the new interior finishes as well as the simplified exterior paint scheme, though I would prefer no swirls at all. Are slide out awnings available on this model? I assume the front entertainment center instead of the over-cab double bunk is available. Jayco hasn't updated their web site for the 18's yet. Thanks, Josh.
We got this model in before we even received documentation on the 2018 updates (which still aren't complete). Thankfully I was connected enough to get the important features listed out and spotted a few other small updates. Slide Awnings available aftermarket if not from Jayco. I don't even have 2018 build sheets to reference at this point. We ordered this basically blind and just prayed while it was being built *laugh* There's more truth to that than I prefer to admit. This time of year is always like that in this business. It's less than fun.
The on demand hot water is just a terrific feature. 6 gallons was not even enough for one real shower. I also like like the full queen walk around bed. I'm sure you'll sell this coach quickly. It's a beauty! Sorry for the hassle these early model year releases cause you. Thanks again for everything, Josh.
My favorite! Suggestions: solar power, I want to be off the grid, and I need the windows to open and have the bug screen on them, a day shade would be great as well in case I just want a little privacy but still need lots of natural light. hopefully they add that to their new models
Simplicity in design. The pull out drawers looked neat, but provided no significant functionality as compared to the current arrangement. It only added cost for a visual gimmick of sorts. You still have the same counter prep space as always.
I didn't say anything about a lot of items actually as it's just not reasonable to cover every single nut, bolt, and widget. Every one has different items they wish to learn about. If those are hot button items for you, then simply give our guys a call at 800-256-5196 & they can cover any specifics for you. Regarding your questions: *STOVE:* Normal RV stove made of formed steel. *RANGE:* Integrated into the microwave. *TOILET:* Normal RV plastic toilet. Ford Triton V10 Gas Engine btw. The "E-Series" chassis is a gasser.
You know it's funny -- few are actually looking to sell a Super C for your road trips from Oakland to Las Vegas and across the country for football games! Let's get your named on a Seneca :)
I'm not sure I'm totally following the question, but there is no air induction system or anything like that built into this RV from the underbelly into the cabin
The Jayco class A has a TV that comes out from behind the kitchen drawers for an excellent straight forward view. Could they apply that to the Greyhawk?
Not currently in the works, Jeremy. That's plenty of time for us to get one built to your preferences, however. Contact our team at 800-256-5196, let them know how you'd like one built, and we can get to work on it for you!
I really like this Jayco Greyhawk 29MV TWO SIDE But I would like to see additional slide at the kitchen and refrigerator. Area to see that slide out an additional 16 inches would make the living quarters in kitchen area more superior than any other classy I also would like to see the pullout kitchen counter extension to pull out and lift up like the dining room dream table so that it would be level with the countertop Even if you added a 2 inch slip up level countertop to the front edge of the kitchen counter those 2 inches would make a great deal of difference one long piano hinge to flip it up level with the county two more inches would be out standing combined with this like moving 16 inches out making a three slide coach and I am seriously buying a motorhome in 2018 really do like this model We love being able to cook and look out the front to see who is walking in the front door to us that is a very good safety feature knowing who’s coming before they are there something you should advertise safety is the most importance to us and to others facing the door makes it safe
We also believe that if you had a four slide out on one side that extended just a little bit more than the average that would be sufficient for us and I’m sure for others please consider this for a plan with a couple slide
What you're actually saying them (without realizing it perhaps) is you actually do not like the 29MV, but it's close. Other floorplans have what you seek.
Hey Uncle Josh I was wondering what is the biggest size generator that you can get on this Jayco GreyHawk class c motorhome? Your number 1 fan Leonard Nelson from NC.
How can I reach you? I've been looking at RedHawks/Greyhawks here in Orlando, FL and want to see what you can do. You seem very knowledgeable about your product!
Why doesn't Jayco come out with a motorhome with 3 point seat belts for the kids? We have to put our 7.5 year old in a car seat yet motorhomes (in the US, I know in Europe they have them) don't have minimal seat belts that a car has.
I can't speak for someone not under our payroll. Makes plenty of sense of course. You should give them a call -- you'd be surprised how much they may listen.
Thank you! I wrote them about 2 weeks ago about this issue. I also asked them to create something like a "Sun Living Lido A 45 DK". A mouthful but it is a class C with the bunks in the back like how they are in trailers. This makes for a shorter motorhome and easier for those of us that want an motor home but don't want to pay for storage fees for it (small land city dwellers ;) ). Thank you again! Your videos are always great. Taught me a TON. Keep up the good work!
Josh, does this 2018 model have indeed a full 60" x 80" Queen? All previous years in the 29MV included an RV Queen 60" x 75". If 2018 model includes a full queen, has the closet depth been reduced?
Will verify. It's entirely possible I was simply wrong here (we're all human after all). Perhaps the light/dark contrast did it job by providing the appearance of more negative space that wasn't actually there.
Greetings from Boston. Why oh why do we not see a single class c with a king size bed. Sorry to harp on this one thing but one would have to argue that many people have a king size bed at home. Does it not make sense to have a king size bed in your home away from home? BTW you are the only one to show the motorhomes in travel mode with slides in. It is really nice to see the livability of these rigs when traveling down the road. Most presenters will show everything wide open and never show this one little thing. Thank you for doing such a nice job on these videos.
Something you'll hear me say a lot is "They're all the best in a different way." If one type of RV was just "the best," then you wouldn't see so many varieties out there. It depends on the goal you're looking to accomplish really. Best suggestion: Give our team a call, explain how you will be using the RV, and that can help them to provide suggestions.
Does this come on 25-26 foot version? I want a good pantry. Can the overhead cab be converted to srorage? Does 5th is have instant hot water (Truma)? Where can we see this in or near San Diego County?
Well you can't just make an RV shorter. Something has to go. That means slides/storage are going to have to reduced/removed. The Greyhawk 26Y is their smallest model, but it's a far cry from the 29MV. It's very similar in size to several of the Redhawks you can see here: bit.ly/2mNSiLt
I kind of ha d a problem, i am about to buy an Rv buy my budget is around 35k, no more than 40. i need all the basics and 2 bunks :(((((. any suggestions?
Great presentation! Great layout. Specific and entertaining. Now to sell the wife on it. Lol. How would this compare to the winnie minnie? Currently own a winnebago. Thx
While we always feel each RV is the best in their own way know that we do not represent Winnebago motorized products. We prefer to simply focus on the positive aspects of our offerings as comparisons always tend to have a negative-feeling slant. As a Winnebago Owner currently how do *you* feel they compare?
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thank you for your reply. I appreciate how you responded to my question. I currently own a micro Mini but I have also owned a jayco product in the past. Looking at the entire unit I would have to say that I prefer the winnebago. What also tends to draw me to the Jayco is the Craftsmanship by the Amish in its production. Also most surveys put the Jayco right behind the Winnebago. I would also say that I'm brand loyal which also plays A part in this. For example I would find that I would be hard pressed to buy a Ford product. OK Enough rambling. I think I will Spend some time in each of them. Thank you
Not *yet*, but it's been discussed. The extra size required would mean significant engineering planning/testing. It's not as easy as just making a slide bigger.
Can't exactly do that with this chassis style. I won't pretend to know everything about everything, but have you seen another brand that allows this as you've described? If the floor is flat, then you'd be driving from the upper bunk. Basically, you should be shopping for a Class A -- not a Class C.
It's not really, but there are some super simple ways to do this aftermarket without modifying your actual trailer. Example is one that actually creates a plug through a window.
They're there and plainly visible -- perhaps easily overlooked. Right speaker is directly below the big window by the entry door (black circle). Left speaker is further back.
Yes there is! This RV has a range hood/microwave combo. Though not common in towable RV production you see that feature used in motor homes frequently.
Hi, Thank you for your prompt reply. There is another question if you can answer, I would appreciate it, I was try to find among Jayco RedHawk and GreyHawk models the option of 50 Amp service (I only saw in Seneca model, way beyond my means). They (Hawks) have the option of having 2 x 11,000 BTU A/C (instead of 1 x 15,000 BTU A/C with heat pump). Normally, when there are 2 A/Cs option, there is also 50 Amp service too but I can’t find it. I was wondering, if it only 30 Amp service, is it ok to run your appliances at once like the A/Cs, hair dryer, toaster, microwave, etc and how do they make 2 x 11,000 BTU A/C run on 30 Amp service? Thank you.
@@bettylona Jayco's Class C's are all 50amp service. The smaller size of the dual A/Cs allows them to work on a 30amp system. The RV will then include a power management system that will do things like turn off the compressor of the 2nd air unit while leaving the fan running while you're running a high voltage appliance like a microwave. When the microwave is done the system will re-engage the compressor and you'll basically never know there was a brief break in service.
Hi, Just want to confirm, Did you want to say above, Jayco's Class C's are all "50amp service." or "30amp service"? I'm a little confused, as stated only 30-amp power cord is included with the unit on Jayco's website (Standards & Options section). Thank you.
Sorry for the lack of clarity. They are all 30amp as they have no need for a 50amp system thanks to the power controller that is part of the dual air upgrade.
Dimensions (inside and outside) and weights? Do not tell us something so interesting. Tell us better the Caravans fists. Show what's behind the flaps. Show what fits in the cupboards and so on
You appear to be seeking HYPER specific items -- which is fantastic, but the average viewer of one of these videos isn't quite to that point. You're at the stage where you should really speak with a live contact person. Additionally, I'm having difficulty fully understanding some of your phrasing here. I would estimate we do not have the same native languages. I would also estimate you speak my language FAR better than I would speak your own!
While I won't disagree with your logic I think you will find a distinct lack of gay men living around northern Indiana. ;) Plus.. I've actually met the interior designers at nearly every brand we carry at our dealership personally -- all ladies. So there's that :)

The dream dinette is lovely and not a deal breaker. But, can you get a u shaped dinette in a slide? Or, can you get a u dinette in a class c?
U-Dinettes take up significantly more room. You aren't able to simply make the RV longer like that
Just a question: as a parked scenario, can you pull in fresh air from under the RV. Like a more shaded & filtered fresh air source. Texas.
I'm not sure I'm totally following the question, but there is no air induction system or anything like that built into this RV from the underbelly into the cabin
You deliver to Maine?....that may work out someday soon.
Absolutely. Our team at 800-256-5196 can get you a quote when you're ready.

They only offer one size in these -- Onan 4000

We have a full team of factory trained folks here at 800-256-5196 ready, willing, and able to make it happen!
can you convert it to 4x4 I live in Dubai where we need offroad set up 4 wheel drive motorhome
Not at the factory level. This is something you'd need to tackle aftermarket.
Why doesn't Jayco come out with a motorhome with 3 point seat belts for the kids? We have to put our 7.5 year old in a car seat yet motorhomes (in the US, I know in Europe they have them) don't have minimal seat belts that a car has.

Did some following up -- *you are correct and I was wrong. THANK YOU for pointing this out!* Excellent catch!
Josh, it looked like a cabinet door above the entrance, is it decorative?
Small storage compartment
For large ppl, could you have chairs instead of booth?
Would need to be aftermarket
Are there power outlets in the storage area? To charge scooters & things to occupy tiny humans.
Matter of fact: YES! In this case you'd look in the compartment sort of below the water heater. It has outlets, TV hookups... all sorts of fun stuff
I like this one very much , thanks Joshua .

Does this come with a U or J shaped dinette? That is one of my wife's must haves.
It comes as you see here. I understand everyone has different "hot button" item -- may I ask why the U-Dinette is so high on the list?
This one comes as you see it. I know everyone has different "hot button" items. May I ask inquire as to the important of the non-traditional dinette?
There are 3 of us and the booth dinettes always seem so tight. I have noticed in some class A's they were a bit more roomy.
Like a lot of things Dinettes are not all created equal. I would most definitely advise "trying one on for size" so to speak.

Thank you
@@goprenow Good feedback. Thx for sharing.
Can you get theater seating instead of the couch or a couch that reclines
Jayco does not offer that upgrade in this model. There may be aftermarket options we could explore for you however.
They should put 2 more cup holders on the table.
Do they come with king size bed
Not *yet*, but it's been discussed. The extra size required would mean significant engineering planning/testing. It's not as easy as just making a slide bigger.
Is there fans in the bathrooms?
The ceiling vent does have a fan, yes
They should make the floor flat so that you better could use the front chairs with the sofa.
Can't exactly do that with this chassis style. I won't pretend to know everything about everything, but have you seen another brand that allows this as you've described? If the floor is flat, then you'd be driving from the upper bunk.
Basically, you should be shopping for a Class A -- not a Class C.
Does the bed remain flat when glide is in?
Sorry I see. Love that. Do lots of quick sleeping
How hard is it to put a cable outlet on the outside?
It's not really, but there are some super simple ways to do this aftermarket without modifying your actual trailer. Example is one that actually creates a plug through a window.
Does Jayco ever ro a class c without graphics? Thx
*maybe*
It's the kind of thing we need to make a call on.
If you deliver to my house will you pickup my trade or do I have to deliver it
Our policies require having a trade here on site before a pending sale will be released.
Is this available with a diesel powerplant?
Negative. Greyhawk models are gas-only. Jayco offers no similar product with a diesel power plant.
Agreed, despite the diesel power plant is available on ambulance cut away chassis. I think this option would be a huge seller.
It's not just a power step, it's a p-p-p power step! lol
VERY important distinction. Took me years of Nerd Training to spot the difference.
LOL!!!!!!!!! YEARS of Nerd Training!!?!???
Haylett RV nerd knows nerd ?
Agreed!!!! LOL!! :)
If there was a theater seating option, a u-shaped dinette, roof top solar and an inverter nobody could touch Jayco.
No outside speakers?
They're there and plainly visible -- perhaps easily overlooked. Right speaker is directly below the big window by the entry door (black circle). Left speaker is further back.
HI,
For the 2019 Jayco Greyhawk 29MV model, Is there a range hood over the stove burner that vents air to the outside? Thank you.
Yes there is! This RV has a range hood/microwave combo. Though not common in towable RV production you see that feature used in motor homes frequently.
Hi,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
Love a video of a Seneca
Very nice.
Very nice!
Impressive!!!
Thank you Carolyn, but what about the RV? *wink*
Is it sold? Lol
You'd be surprised how often I still get that question...
Lol that’s funny
@@JoshtheRVNerd When I’m ready, I’ll fly out to you from Washington State to buy a class C!
"A lady must have designed this" Really? You must not have any gay friends. hahaha
While I won't disagree with your logic I think you will find a distinct lack of gay men living around northern Indiana. ;)
Plus.. I've actually met the interior designers at nearly every brand we carry at our dealership personally -- all ladies.
So there's that :)
