- Today we are checking out one of the earliest #DGR level's in existence with a level called "Gaining The Lore (#DGR)" by MineCat. Going into the level I had no idea what to expect, but what I got in return was a really well crafted TROLL level!!

Oh cool? They used the old glitch where hitting a ?-block makes a mushroom platform intangible? I don't remember the details but I think it required a hidden block being on the platform itself?

Oh wow, that's indeed an old level, been a while since I saw the "Go through Mushroom Platforms" glitch.
Sadly it's been patched rather quickly, but at one point, with the help of a hidden block containing a vine, a Mushroom Platform was rendered not solid.
I figure there was shenanigans with the one after CP2, where the hidden block got hit when spawned from the CP, but not when getting there from CP1.

What an absolutely fantastic level. I wouldn’t take some parts being unfair as a criticism; one could say barb’s levels are unfair. The challenge of the level perfectly matched the title: gaining the lore. Once you’d gained the lore, you could proceed more easily. Whoever made that is a genius

The lore is strong with this one.
Great fun vid. I thought the mushroom platforms were janky becoz you can be on different "levels" at the same height, so hitting the checkpoint or leaping from the donut alters your layer/height/value x, and it registers are you being on a dif level to the mushroom, so it never "catches" you.
No idea, and others have given better explanation. Still a fun vid and nice call on the final troll.

Hey, level creator here. I haven't played smm2 for over a year now (and I only saw this video because a friend recognized my name in it and shared the link.) I might return eventually as I did have some unfinished levels, but I am not really still around.

@@Minecxt You should let him know that you created it and you're still around. A lot of times, he has shown himself checking out a creator's profile of awesome levels and assuming that they haven't been uploading thinking "we lost another one".

I made a crappy troll level last year called Desert TROLL Level, the Course ID is CFK-MJG-DQF. It's Clear Rate is 3.40%. Good luck if you try it (I'm also working on a much better Troll Level!).

very old glitch that was patched. Levels stay the same version so thats why in this level you can walk through the platform, but in newer versions you can't recreate this glitch
