Mailchimp Customer Journey \\ Build a Visual Roadmap for your Mailchimp Contacts

- A Mailchimp Customer Journey automation is a visual roadmap for your Mailchimp contacts. Use the Mailchimp customer journey builder to visually plan out a workflow for your contacts. Plan out the route for your leads and turn them into customers.
You start a Journey workflow with a starting point.
In this demo, the journey starting point is when a contact subscribes to an audience list. The journey continues by adding a tag to the contact and lastly sending an email that contains a link to a free PDF download.
I find the Mailchimp journey builder easy to use - much easier than the classic automation. That may be because I'm more of a visual learner than from reading how to do something.
Let me know what you think of the journey builder in the comments below.

*Have you set up a Customer Journey? Do you find Journeys easier to use than Classic Automations?*
How can i create a trigger (for a particular link) in customer journey and only send email when trigger is activated(particular link is clicked)?
No sir
Larry! You're awesome - thank you - you made this way pleasant : )
You’re very welcome!
Thanks a lot! Very clear and pleasant presentation!
Glad it was helpful!
wow, awesome tutorial 🥰.thank you so much 😊
You're welcome.
Hey please upload a video on lead nurturing
Thankyou man for this wonderfull information i would like to connect with you on LinkedIn please share the link
Great video Larry thanks. Question, do you know how I add existing contacts in to my customer journey?
Great question, Charlie - it is tough as the journeys seem to cater more towards signing up vs. existing. If you have existing segments with tags or groups, try going with that as a starting point and adding additional filters if needed such as signup source, date added or landing page, etc.
Hi Larry thank you for the info! One question, I made a customer journey but I don't know why they do not start the journey! the starting point is tag added
How are you applying the tag? Product purchased, landing page, etc. Tag added means the tag is already in the contact profiles.
But how can i connect my website to this campaign?
How could mailchimp know the user sign up or not in my site
Hi! Thanks for your question. The starting trigger for the customer journey can be when a person subscribes to your list from the signup form on your website. Since Mailchimp only provides one signup form per audience list (the only email marketing provider I know of to do so - and my biggest issue with Mailchimp), the challenge becomes differentiating between signups. There are a few workarounds for this. The easiest would be to use a third-party form builder, like JotForm, that connects to Mailchimp via API. Then you can create as many forms as you want with specific tags and place them on any page or post on your website, triggering specific customer journeys. Another option is to use Mailchimp Landing pages with specific tags to activate the journey and add links from your website to these external one-off signup pages.
Hello, I want to automatize the journey by using the segments I created (Sending a specific mail only to a particular segment). But the filter option on top does not let me choose the segments that I created. Would appreciate any ideas, many thanks
Correct but you can set the same filtering as if it was the segment.
quick question: I have a media outlet, would you recommend doing a unique subscriber map or one for each type of subscription?
Not knowing all the details, I would say whichever is easiest for you. You can have up to 3 starting points for one journey. If the subscriptions follow the same journey map after purchase you may want to do one journey.
I have to choose the Plan for 9,99$ for that, correct?
I'm not quite sure what is included in each pricing plan. I think with the Essentials plan you get pre-built journeys. I'm on the Standard plan and I have fully customized journey options.
How can i create a trigger (for a particular link) in customer journey and only send email when trigger is activated?
This might help give you an idea but using a classic automation - ua-cam.com/video/2udxYpIOGxk/v-deo.html
In the Journey Builder check under Marketing Activity "Clicks Specific Link in Email" as a starting point. If you have MC free version not sure if this option is available.
Olá! Verifique o e-mail (e spam) com uma carta de cooperação (Gglot)
I don't understand Portuguese but if you're looking for ways for emails to avoid the spam filter try here - mailchimp.com/resources/avoid-spam-filters/
Hello! Check the email (and spam) with a letter of cooperation (ConveyThis)
No thanks, I’ll pass.
