Hi, Italian fan here! I admit I expected Loredana to win, but this is a pretty interesting choice, as well! I just wanted to note that a few phrases throughout the song are actually sung in Italian (I think I've caught one in the final chorus), so it's kind of an interesting mix.
On a side note, I'm still on the fence with how the entire San Marino contest is organized. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed seeing Achille Lauro get an opportunity on the European stage two years ago, and I would have been very happy for someone like Loredana, too. However, if you get a giant number of participants involved (I think over 130 artists took part in the semi-finals alone) and make them go through a lot of selections, but then put them against two-three respected names who most likely will blow everyone else out of the water... then what's the point of the entire contest? I'm a little confused... 😅
....total confusion to San Marino....
The point is to make money lol. San Marino charges to submit song and then charges again if you advance to the next state, and the artists have to pay to move on, so it is in SM interest to admit as many songs as possible.😅
