- You may be stuck inside at the moment, but you can still enjoy the outdoors with this tour of the beautiful Seaton Park on a sunny day. Definitely one to add to the list of Aberdeen spots to visit!
It was 9th October 1974 that as a new student I got down from the bus at St Machar Dr and walked along The Chanonry. I still remember the feeling I had as soon as I entered Seaton Park. This was the most beautiful park I had ever seen till that time in my life. I stayed a Hill Head Halls of residence for one year and used to walk through seaton park at least twice a day while going to my class. Many sweet memories of the place.
This video was ended just before arriving at Hillhead halls. I was graduated from Aberdeen University in the 80s. I lived in Dunbar Hall (I heard that it was demolished), and Hillhead halls. We walked past this beautiful Seaton park daily, it is always a huge challenge for climbing the hill during winter period due to the pavement was very slippery. We don't have all kinds of fanciful video recording equipment except camera. I really missed this place, hope to be back when the pandemic is over. It's been almost 40 years since I left Aberdeen. Looking forward to this day soon.
Nice!
I thought Seaton park was in a dodgy area. I never went there as a student...I only remember Duthie Park on the other side of town.
