Things You'll Need:
Hot Chocolate Cookies:
1 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon espresso powder
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup light brown sugar, packed
1 egg, room temperature
1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
20 large marshmallows
Decoration
Chopped semi-sweet chocolate

it's funny you mentioned the 4D movie. I saw a 4D version of The Polar Express at the Museum of Science in Boston and it was amazing. Not only did they blow crisp, cool smelling snow at us, but the whole theater smelled like chocolate for the cocoa scene! Can't wait to try these cookies and relive the fun!

What substitution could you use if you don’t want to use espresso powder?
I've used instant coffee and it worked as well
@@andreamarie6501 What if you don’t drink or like coffee. Would you just omit that ingredient? Or is it needed?
@@jenniferyoung9622 Yeah, just omitting it and it's not needed, only something optional to add as a flavor enhancer. I do want to note it actually doesn't add any coffee flavor, it just deepens the chocolate flavor so if you don't like coffee it won't taste like it but definitely fine to leave out

Does the marshmallow stay in place on the cookie it looks like they slid off easily. Could you place them on the cookie BEFORE it’s done baking when it’s still a bit moist on top then pop them back into the oven to finish baking? Just wondering if that would make the marshmallow more securely held.
