Chance’s team has such a great foundation. He’s got a lot of people with just minor pitch issues from the blinds. That can definitely be worked out though. Really special voices
I went to high school with Ray and he has always been an amazing performer and songwriter. I’m so proud to watch his growth and hope this experience will open up more opportunities for him to continue doing what he truly loves ❤️

Me and Ray are at college I taught him a lot he is an unfinished gem at this stage great tone though
We were friends since college at the University of Indianapolis and I said "you could always join the Voice because it's better than American Idol". 3 years later he reminded me not a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't believe that I influence him into joining. Thank you Chance the Rapper

@@Drnaynay That was the old AI. AI has changed after Candice's season. I enjoyed both shows but I don't think either shows has produced superstars or successful artists lately.
You were correct this man has so much vocal range
such a tender tone, interesting melisma. He took his time with this, so expressive, sweet falsetto flips then pulls out some bigger notes. Kudos for riding it out til the very end. - So You Wanna Be A Singer

Omg, his vibrato gave me chills. Perfect! He needs to embrace his falsetto range. His fear and lack of experience using it makes it breathy.

Love Ray's gentle approach to the song. Also love his breathy falsetto voice. I didn't expect a chair to turn but I'm glad C the R turned his, seeing the potential Ray had to compete. He could surprise many.

I really love the fact that Chance’s on this season. He welcomed a new culture. Not all great artists nail it to auditions and he just proved that these individuals have great potentials inside. Look where they are today. They’re kicking the whole thing!!!!
I went to HS with Ray, and my mom taught him in middle school. So proud to see his artistry grow!

His family already accept the situation that no coaches would turn until the very end...and suddenly Chance turned!! The tear of joy of his mum really touches me...
His lower notes were very strong and his mid range reminds me of Bruno Mars’ sound. The higher notes weren’t as strong, but good coaching could make him a contender!
His voice will record SO. WELL. Chance is a perfect coach for him and I am so excited to see what he does. He has incredible range and that rasp in his voice is heaven to listen to.
this is one of my favorites. you can't teach emoting and he has it in spades

I AM SO HAPPY CHANCE IS ON THE SHOW !!! 👏👏 .. I think alot of the coaches like piggybacking so much... they wait until somebody else goes in to push.. and they let ALOT of amazing singers walk in the process... I'm so happy Chance came in this season!
I'm happy he is too. I really respect Chance. I hope he gets a lot more honor from this. I feel bad for how I feel he's been treated this season - by coaches and contestants.

@@evelynfrederick I don’t understand what you mean in saying you feel bad about how he is treated by other coaches. I have not seen any bad treatment happening. He and Kelly seem to have a good rapport ( he’s also been on her talk show). Obviously they all do their little competitiveness when trying to convince a contestant to join their respective team, but nothing out of the ordinary and have not seen any meanness.
@@lindafrance9192 He and Kelly do. Yes. Maybe I'm just projecting. I really want Chance to do well. And I'm seeing all the attention Niall is getting from Blake. Also, there was one audition where the contestant literally was quite rude to Chance, then sweetly waved at Niall and Blake. And that bothers me. Because he's a sweetheart and he works hard for what he does.
@@evelynfrederick I don’t recall seeing the rude contestant but I’m not sure I’ve seen all of the blinds though. I do feel the “chummyness” between Blake and Niall is wearing thin for me and feels a bit overdone. I realize the are doing it for the humor but I feel it’s getting old.

Wow the falsetto and everything was just really good I had chills literally as soon as he started with the first two words he almost didn't get him at all waiting that damn long like his chance was literally probably 100 percent up so that was luck that he got to even turn
Pitch and tempo was very inconsistent but the control going to falsetto and back was solid. Definitely has potential and would be interesting to see him sing other songs.
Why'd it take so long to have only one turn around!??? He sounds beautiful & I'm looking forward to hearing him without audition nerves.

Okay Ray representing us in Gary,Indiana the 219 area💯💯🔥!! I love way he attacked this song his falsetto and he had a great breath control. It could have used more finesse but did a really great job💯!
They all knew he had potential but they were just holding back for whichever reason.

Really enjoyed his voice. The breathiness at times in his false got away from him a bit on the onset of certain notes but once it evened out it was really pretty. Definitely a great delivery and tone. Very deliberate and magical. I personally don't require every song to have big belt to find enjoyable, but I agree with Kelly that including one in THIS context would've made the audition more "complete". That said, I think Chance is the better coach for him so it worked out that she didn't turn.
You can tell how focus Chance was with the turn. Lol btw he has a beautiful tone and def deserve that chair.

Love how chance waited to the last minute to surprise him and his family. His brother looked sad for him than chance saved the day. It’s funny how non singers have good ear for music that’s what makes chance a great artist and producer.

Ray has a beautiful tone for sure but I wanted more from him. I wanted him to open up and do less falsettos. I think the falsettos was his weakness there as it didn't sound that great but he has a great voice. I'm not sure if he's ready yet but congrats on making it on the show and turning Chance's chair! I hope he improves in the battle rounds since he has tons of potential.

I kinda hope that last note was improvised in hopes of getting a turn because if it was, it worked. Either way, glad that Chance is giving him a chance, no pun intended, because I really love his almost gentle falsetto. I do agree with Kelly, I was hoping at some point he would open up, but either way, love his voice.
