Even a friend of mine that knows Sandra has told her. She won because the other 2 couldn’t stand Parvati and Russell. It’s so hard to give someone you despise a million dollars. Another friend of mine that’s good friends with Danni also says the same thing.

His social game wasn't the worst. He would have beat Jenna Lewis in Final Two. But I guess that says about Jenna Lewis' social game was.
With that being said, had he betrayed Amber at Final Three, they may not have gotten married and had a family together, which is more important than money from his point of view I would anticipate

@@bc5163 The ironic thing is Jenna beats Amber who beat Rob. In fact probably 5-2 with Tom, Alicia, Lex, Kathy, Rupert all voting her. Actually I think the only scenario Rob might win is if Jenna wins final immunity and takes Rob herself. If Rob cuts Amber he looks like such an asshole no way he keeps all 4 of Kathy, Rupert, Shi Ann, and Amber, his 4 possible votes vs Jenna, to win.
Let's be honest, Sandra may be the Queen of Survivor, but Amber is the ultimate winner. She got a husband, four daughters, a million dollars, all of Rob's winnings without having to endure going into the wild with him, and is set for life with appearance fees. If that's not winning the game the hardest, I don't know what is.

I’ve got to be honest I loved Amber in The Australian Outback and All Stars but I wish they showed more of her. She was the sole reason Rob did so well because she helped solidify relationships with the others. I think she wasn’t done dirty with her edit but I wish Survivor showed more of her game that wasn’t about being with Rob to prove she wasn’t just his sidekick.
She was pretty and just lucky. She had no game.

Good video, thanks. That said, I disagree with the assessment that Amber crediting her success to "luck" in the final tribal council was dumb. It was exactly the right thing to say to a largely bitter jury. That's what they wanted to hear: that they would have been just as deserving to sit in Rob and Amber's spots, had they not been unlucky. It's one of the reasons Amber deserved to win All Stars. She said and did a lot of the right things to win a majority of the votes from that particular jury. Another jury might have decided differently, but this one didn't. Such is the beauty of Survivor.

Total domination from start to finish, openly in love and never targeted. This is why showmances can't go far in survivor anymore because of Rob and Amber dominating despite being open about it. They won 2 cars, 1 million dollars, and a Husband/Wife. I do put them as the same player strategically because of the fact that it was clear they were going to be together after the show so yeah FTC was kinda useless lol.

I think Amber handled the jury perfectly. In a normal season her opening would be bad, but she knew how her jury was feeling. She knew the anger was directed at Rob. Why on earth would she want the credit/blame for their demise? The final votes were honestly likely decided prior to FTC. Amber just had to ensure perception was not changed and she did that. Typically bitter juries like to hear humble things like "I didn't outplay you, I just got lucky". A good player knows their audience and Amber knew hers.
Ah yes, the first greatly executed meat shield strategy. Some can say it isn't as effective now as it was then because if you actually take someone like that to the end, the jury could overlook you and vote for their erratic gameplay. It's a real risk but as long as you have a good enough read on the jury, you should be fine.
Amber was really clever but she bombed her final tribal. I think if Shi Ann hadn't been so adamant that she saw the predator within I think Rob would have absolutely won. I do think Amber deserved the win though. She was truly the brains.
Rob totally screwed himself up on Tom and Alicia. I am not sure he could have ever made Lex happy.

She is clearly smart and isn't maybe given enough credit for it but it doesn't mean Rob isn't smart and beast at strategizing. It defininetly isn't that she was the brains of their operation, she was just smarter in terms of letting it seem like they didn't make the decisions together. She got to make ahole moves without hurting her social game which is all her but the smart ahole moves were designed by both of them, a bit more by Rob from what is shown
If Amber bombed her FTC, Rob bombed it WAYYYY worse lol. He was basically catatonic after Lex. And then Kathy finished him off.

I don't think she is the one who told herself she is undeserving, I am pretty sure the fan base has said, and still says, that Boston Rob should have won. Which is why in WAW he says if you win, you win.
@@OnceUponAnIsland It is hard to feel sorry for her when Natalie White, Michele, Ben and numerous others get WAY way more hate for their wins than Amber does. If Amber is affected by it, well I feel bad in a way, but she needs to buck up as there are others who have it far worse, deserving or undeserving. I would say the criticsm her win gets is at worst at Sophie level, although by her comments in her boot on WAW even Sophie is affected by some of the mild criticsm/debate of her win too.
@@richardross4677 Everyone you mentioned came after her and are more recent in our brains. I don't think it is that she gets hated on as much as she gets no respect while her husband gets all of the credit for something she did too and did better at.

However while your summary and break down crediting Amber was well done, I am still not sold at this point she was the one running things or the true mastermind as Shi Ann put it.

@@tastyquicksandnfl1326 I think it is possible if played using a private server in Roblox Outlaster. The game is pretty good except the fact that there are way too many kids who don't understand survivor, some of them even took it to the next level and said it copied Total Drama.
If playing in all-stars mode or playing in a hosted private server for superfans, I believe the game would be quite similar to the actual show minus the fatigue and hunger. Playing all-stars Outlaster is a paranoia fuel as everyone in the server is (at least) a 5 time champion who knows how the game works and alliances can change within moments. Normal mode Outlaster I'm able to steamroll the postmerge immunities and pick off the kids one by one and still win despite getting zero jury votes from bitter juries using the bonus category votes.

Amber definitely should gets more respect. she was consistently a great female in challenges which payed off winning immunity at final four. yes she was Rob's sidekick but it takes two to tango and the key of having 2 people over 1 was critical in the season...
They combined to be one super player.

amber's a lit smarter than a lot of people give her credit for. nobody really knew how much she influenced rob's decisions in the game (thinking she was kind of trailing behind him since they were strong allies) until the final seven or eight, which i believe was when shii ann caught on and called her out for how subtle she was while doing it. amber's win was partially due to how badly rob played socially compared to her, but you can't deny that she was kind of the secret boss between the pair
Now Amber said on the dvd commentary of the finale; during the final tribal council, watch how her hands move from her lap up to covering her mouth; so she wouldn’t laugh while the jury was speaking
I checked on the most days on survivor, record list and Amber is 9th with 107, sure a good chunk of those were edge days,still not bad from someone who is quite and who does "nothing."

I never expected a winner to only have 17 character moments in the whole season.

This was one of my favorite seasons ever and I loved that Amber won!
This is so great and there's so much more to say but the real lesson for me is when Jenna morasca is told by other people that quitting is wrong. There are people who still say that to her. There are people who have told her even knowing the result that quitting was wrong even though she lost her mom just 8 days after getting home. She absolutely made the right decision and this is why you must follow your own heart and not value the opinions of others too highly. Imagine what she could have lost and never gotten back if she had listened to them.

I think amber being an underrated winner comes from the way she was edited in all stars.
I'd love to see her go to head-to-head with Cirie to see who could make more alliances and annoy fewer people

She lucked out HUGE though, going on an All-Star season as a 3rd choice alternate to replace Elizabeth & Colleen.
I'm not taking anything away from her game though. As someone already said she was the "Good Cop" to Rob's " Bad Cop". And if that's not enough, ALWAYS trust Shii Ann. She saw right through it all.

In my opinion, Amber sealed the deal on her future with Boston Rob when she said "I'm out here to play survivor, not play a dating game"..
... it seems we, as humans, cant have real relationships until we learn to become truly confident to stand alone and be comfortable being single....
....and for some stupid reason, it seems we almost always trip over "the one" not too long after.

In Survivor: All-Stars, Amber undeniably played a better social game and had a better Final Tribal Council performance than Rob Mariano, and that is partially why she won! I'm thankful she won this season and Rob Mariano rightfully won seven years later.
How much have things changed. Sue's complaint at the time was laughed off. If it happened today Richard would have been thrown off the show.

I’ll admit, calling Amber the owner and BRob the dog is a bit of a hot take. I’ll admit that BRob played a better game strategically and I feel that more credit should be given for a lot of the moves Amber was involved in (such as the promise with Lex). Even so, Survivor is a social strategy and I can understand why the jury voted for her.

I'm surprised rob & Amber weren't put on the same tribe on Winners at War.
Imo, Amber not really owning her game and giving non-answers was probably intentional and one of the better things she could've done with this jury. I think she correctly read that none of them would respect a dominant strategic game except for Shii Ann, and planned her answers accordingly. By giving wishy-washy answers and dodging questions, I think she escaped the shit that was thrown at Rob and him being forced to own his game. I think that with this jury, the safest play was to keep up an honorable facade for as long as possible and try to avoid traps in their questioning, and I think Amber also saw that and chose to give a technically 'weaker' FTC.
Bc I can only imagine her dropping this bomb that she secretly had Rob wrapped around her finger and that she was the true puppet master, and then it blowing up in her face because she outs herself as the real liar and backstabber of the duo.

While I do believe Rob should’ve won, and she was a... well odd choice for All Stars, she did have one of the best wins in the game in terms of, well getting a family.

It works similar to the original roblox survivor before it was taken down due to copyright from CBS. Players get to pick their teams by voting for captains, the captains will then pick their teams in a schoolyard pick then face off in challenges. Clues to idols and advantages are hidden around camp. Tribe swaps and other tribe related premerge twists appear occasionally to shake things up, mutiny is occasionally offered as well.
Idol nullifiers, vote stealer/vote blocker, extra vote, vote peek, safety without power, fake idols and super idols may appear as advantages but is not guaranteed to appear in every game. One idol spawns in each camp at the start alongside two other random advantages (can be the same eg: two safety without power advantages) including the merge camp and idols are re-hidden after being played.
During the post-merge, the game plays out similar to how the show works where everyone competes for individual immunity, although there are occasionally the surprise double tribal council and Jeff may tempt players to compete for an advantage instead of for immunity. The final round a player is able to play idols/advantages/super idol is at Final 5. The final immunity challenge always happens at the Final 4 and the game will automatically trigger final tribal council where there are 3 (or fewer) players left in the game.
The key differences between Outlaster and Survivor is that all premerge boots get to be on the jury, there are no reward challenges (only eliminations) and when there are less than 7 jury members (which happens 99% of the time in regular games due to people quitting upon being eliminated and occasionally in shorter all-stars games), bonus jury votes are given to players who performed well in different categories.

To be fair, Colby did technically break his final 3 alliance with Amber and Jerri by voting Jerri out. While Colby never voted against Amber and Tina did, Amber didn't necessarily feel close with Tina like she did Colby so maybe she saw it as being betrayed by Colby over Tina.

This was one of the worst, most uncomfortable seasons to endure. Huge let-down after the brilliance that was Pearl Islands.
This and RI are my favorite seasons, watching Rob absolutely steam roll the competition was absolutely hilarious to watch.
Rob should have 2 wins, let's be brutally honest, if the vote was based solely on what was accomplished, Rob would have won over amber.
Unfortunately alot of people are emotional creatures, so much that they let emotions dictate their lives instead of cold hard logic.
Like little kids, but somehow they are adults.
Oh well, that's the way the cookie crumbles.
I wish survivor would go back to the old ways, most of the seasons after 30 are almost unwatchable.

Yeah, this one and the Robfather part 2 came out before the combined video, which was made since the demand at the time for a Rob and Amber video was high. Then a year later I expanded on it with the Rob and Amber movie which covers All-Stars through today 😊

Don't really care because these videos are very entertaining and I guess it would be hard because they were in the same season. But this is almost the exact same script as the Robfather 2 video. As I said don't mind bc I do love these videos but yhman.

It is interesting that Rob C who knew Rob & Amber were tight could not figure out a way with his tribe to target Rob to eliminate the couple's allaiance. Does this mean that Boston Rob is the better player than Rob C? I think so. Rob C was so unimpressive in All Stars.

She picked the right horse to back this time, but WAW proved that Boston Rob was at the very least, the dominant force in the alliance between the two.
I don’t disagree but by WAW she hadn’t played for a long time and at that point Rob really had become one of the ultimate survivor players. Let’s consider that they’ve both changed significantly since all stars.
I agree but I saw what Shi Ann saw immediately, no one had a bad thing to say about Amber, everyone was blaming Rob even though Rob made a point of checking in with her for every decision. You see this when Rob talked to his brother about how he would rather Big Tom over Rupert but Amber would never go for it. I agree that Amber would have been voted out before the merge if it wasn't for Rob but she held her own before and after that. I do think that if Lex wasn't so bitter Rob would have won but she did deserve the win.
