That spot should be like a garden setting so that the spring becomes a part of natural beauty with lawn and flowers and coconut trees and palm trees as well. 😊
This is really nice. Little things like this go a long way to making a place look beautiful. Hope to see more structures like this across St. Thomas, as well as the rest of Jamaica.
It's a nice upgrade to the area that is welcome change. However, the drivers need to be more careful when using that corrudor. While there might be a fault with the construction, driving at the designated speed limit will negate any negative effect of dip in the road. On a very sad note, the drains are a big eyesore. While the area is still under construction, some drain cleaning is necessary to improve the aesthetics and preserve the infrastructural development taking place. Thanks for the update Paarie.
Speed bumps, pedestrian crossing and frequent police presence for a while. I like the brick situation its really nice, but like another person said the drains need to be cleaned and the area need some cleaning its forested but it can be neat. I was born and raised in St Thomas but now living in USA, I was home last December and between the bad road the rain and the mosquitos I could not enjoy myself however, I am planning to return soon. You are doing a good job keep the videos coming, thanks again.
The drains should have been covered to prevent leaves and other debris from constantly falling in. The 40 km/hr speed limit sign should be bolder. Perhaps 3 times larger.
Road safety is a primary concern. Maybe some sleeping policemen in that area and a section for pedestrians and indeed have it as a Historic landmark with a few craft shops and an icream parlour plus benches and further away on both sides parking.
My friend fell in there about 2 months ago due to its slippery nature. He could have sued S&G. The control is too smooth inside the fall plus the algae forms on the bottom which causes it to be slippery. It needs maintenance. Two gazebo across the road would be good.
Ho man things are looking good just need to clean up the drain and put some speed bump out there to slow the drivers down because they are not taking any notices of the speed limits Thank you for your update 👍
They should have made the side wall banking much higher, and would help to keep the rubble from falling into the drain . No attraction should look so shabby even when being fixed up . They should have humps along that route for at least for half mile stretch .
Thanks for the video. It highlights the poor planning of the space...seems like an after-thought. They have a lot of work to do to increase safety and to cement this place as a notable attraction. The floor of the falls looks too smooth, making it slippery. Metal barriers need to be erected on both sides of the road, especially on the side with the falls. And what about parking? That place is an accident waiting to happen with the speed of that traffic. And, by the way, let's see what happens during this hurricane season with the waves almost beating up against the roadway already.
Very nice look for what is being done to this location, East-side Media; but seriously whats wrong with those men mentally, sure mentally incapacitated in my book, working with a power tool barefooted and one in a croc type sandal, including no eye protection, and other protective wears, working in sports shorts, instead of some type of work-wear jeans, seriously non professionals; one slip, or break of the blade and a leg or eye is gone, or some other type of major injury; such types of people only plays checkers, and not chess, they sure do not think ahead. What about steel toe boots, preferably, I understand, if they can't afford steel toe boots, then they can wear some type of leather boot type shoes, to protect in-case of some type of mishap. I even doubt it, that it is, they can't afford steel toe boots, because these type of shoes are coming into Jamaica by the thousands cheaply from China; thus I think it is stupidity, including ignorance.
That’s dangerous working with out shoes, Those guys need to put on a safety shoes. If that thing slips it will cut their foot off, I wonder if the company who they working with dont notice that they need to put on safety shoes. I dont think things is that bad that they can’t afford buy a pair of working boots, they need to think about their own safety
Noooo!!! I don’t not support disturbing that eco system at rossell by building up behind the falls. Leave nature as it is and I hope it doesn’t become a vending spot because there is no sanitary facilities nor waste disposal. What would be a great idea is to build up such a facility like a rest stop with parking close by with the falls being the attraction. Persons can park, eat, and refresh then walk over to the falls but they have to control the flow of the traffic and the discipline of pedestrians for all that to happen.
Sure but nothing that will disturb what is there now no clearing of trees within the vicinity of the falls. As it is now that place is going to be full with garbage and human waste if the authorities do not curb or discourage commercial activities with out the proper facilities in place. It’s a disaster waiting to happen unfortunately.
@@paarieeastsidemediaeast side I appreciate your interest in the uplifting of our parish but a building isn’t generally more valuable to an area like a peaceful space to find nature at it’s naturalness. Authority without teeth is a toothless Tiger. Motorist should NOT be allowed to drive onto the pavers. it will only leads quickly damaged to the pavers. = Wasted public money spent.
Nice video 👍 but I am extremely disappointed with the layout of this project. Rosell fall can be much more than this cheaply done and poorly designed product. They needed to be more towards the sea with the road. They could have created a promenade to walk and get the ocean view with a few benches. Create more space on the waterfall side to make it a focal point with some parking and a small food shop. How it is now seems extremely dangerous especially with the reckless driving.😐
I totally agree with everything you said. This layout is poorly thought out, it’s like the authorities gave it only 10 minutes worth of thinking and it is cheaply done as well.
Please hit that 👍🏿 as you watch the vlog. Let's all give our support. Leave a comment too.
Love it love my Beautiful Parish nice setting at Roswel water fall great Job
JLP for Jamaica!
Yes they really need to clean the drain so that it look more attractive. One love ❤❤❤
💯

This could be an option
As well as tree houses and tree shops in the Almond trees.
I love this video my friend the place is looking good big things going on out there I love wat I am seeing you are doing a good job my friend
Thank you
Great video
It is nice!
Lovely I like it they must keep those gutters clean and around the falls plant flowers etc let it looks very attractive
Wow!! Very creative.
Yup it is needs a little more spruce up though

Lot more work needs to be done pertaining to the landscape.
Putting in the decorative bricks is good but what about the other areas leading up to the bricks!!
can have someone adopt the falls and have it cleaned periodically
get TPDCO provide funds to maintain
Upgrade a gone good family believe
Thanks for the video bro
It needs speed bumps to slow down the vehicles.
Yessss
Hope they are planning on planting flowers along the banks
I hope so too!
who gonna maintain it
Hopefully the falls can be heavier than that in the future. More beautification would be needed in the area
Once the rain starts properly it's going be so heavy that it goes over the wall and into the road
I agree

The drains need cleaning.

Sweet Sweet Jamaica 🇯🇲
When the authorities start to ticket the speeding motorist, they will slowdown. Unfortunately, they need some incentives to be responsible.
Is there a housing project taking place behind the falls?
Not sure

Jamaicans never pay attention to safty all over the island workmen don't wear safty gears, just look at how they drive on the roads.
So the drain the contractors leave it that way they couldn't clean it

I guess the worker don't care about his toe. Not kosher to get them chop-off.
Is anything been done about the drains. Come on Jamaica do better.

No, I'm not saying to do anything to disrupt the falls just say more things can be added

I fully agree. Let it be a natural reserve for birds and wild life. The falls would be dried up in no time
