I hear both side of the story. Perhaps NEPA, other stake holders and the media need to hold a meeting to discuss the matter and the way forward...At this point some things said make little sense. Effective Communication between the citizens and Mr. Henriques is definitely necessary.

I believe the sanctuary owner is telling the truth, but also I believe that he must have a record to show all the crocs that he has and has rescued as well as how many died, I’m sure he do but that’s the way to prove that he’s not dumping any in the rivers which would be absurd and wicked.

This man have a crocodile sanctuary And it's not far from where children play so he should be taken better care of his property so that when there is a flood the crocodile cannot escape from his sanctuary. A small crocodile can still attack a child; the owner of the sanctuary and the surrounding communities should come together and work something out. Yes, what the owner is saying about the flood and how the smaller crocodile could escape is true, however there must be a better communication between both parties.

This guy Ainsley is also accused of dumping crocs at Peggy Mouth... historically there were no crocs there.

I don't even done watch and know this is a garbage claim. Weve been having alot of rain and we had a hurricane so naturally the water levels rise and the croc dem out. On to releasing the crocodile. I just saw a video from Jessica Cargill where she talks about seeing a crocodile crossing the road in the swamp area 2 months ago. I hope no one accuses her of lying. 😀 Her UA-cam video is called "I am so upset, emotional drive from Kingston to Portland ( South Coast Highway)"

Too many black people in the comments are quick to defend their colonizer. They wouldn't care if these crocodiles create a safety hazard for their own people. The residents are not ignorant, they live there, and they care about their children and their community. Why are so many commenters so quick to "believe" what this white man says? How do they know if he is not secretly profiting from his so-called sanctuary?. I pray that the residents unite and succeed in what they are trying to accomplish. Mental slavery is dangerous. Sad.

The people complaining are ignorant and seeking attention. They should have spoken to Mr. Henriques if they have an issue instead of spreading propaganda.

Anybody that tell you that the earth is 2 million yeas old, need to get their head fixed, and their facts right . The earth is less than 30 thousand years old . And stop believing the hyped up historians who are hell bent on deceiving people .

Regardless of where you put them, they will wonder away from where they were placed . This have to be looked at by creating barriers that will keep the crocs within certain territories .

No such thing as “Amity,” it’s “Amity Hall.” I don’t know who to believe and I won’t be distracted by his knowledge of crocodiles, wetlands or how irate and defensive he is. A lot of these ppl are way more passionate about sanctuary than ppl’s safety. He is saying he didn’t put them there and saying they are too small to be dangerous at the same time. 🤷‍♀️ He is moving the young ones and they won’t stay young forever. He is also saying these were originally wetlands which is true, but insinuating that the ppl messed with nature and get what they get, as the crocodiles are in their natural habitat and humans shouldn’t live or build there. That could be true too. Whether that position is right or wrong, with that mindset, I wouldn’t put anything past him. That is not to say ppl aren’t creating drama for attention and killing these protected species needlessly, which is wrong and they should be punished. Lot of ppl killing them for likes and profits. Also, not sure he’s not making a profit himself from his habitat 🤷‍♀️ it could be free but I don’t know. I grew up near Holland Bay (beyond the old sugar factory) and no one would kill them. There were so many, we named them. One was called Marcus. 😂 It was also well known that crocodiles were there and they would come out especially with heavy rains. It happened all the time like clockwork. Just like the crabs, they would come out with the rains and floods. They were part of the community in a matter of speaking. When ppl were hunting crabs, coming all the way from Kingston, they were warned about the crocodiles as that is where they lived. On the flip side, I also remember one crocodile that ate a child who was fishing. It pulled him off the while he was with his friends and took him into the water. It was a tragedy, They went and killed it afterwards and retrieved the child’s remains. (They don’t just devour their catch. They feast on it overtime.) This was the only time I remember one being killed and there were many. So we have to balance preservation of crocodiles and safety of humans. And we cannot support killing them for sport, profit or likes either. Both can exist peacefully and in safety. Hopefully, with this attention some regulations will go into place/be enforced to keep both humans and crocodiles protected.

Crocodiles have been known to inhabit the waters of Eastern St. Thomas for years. I doubt that the crocodile santuary is a contributory factor to them moving closer to communities. The destruction of habitats and reduced rainfall is making it more difficult for them to source food, and as such, they are moving to new areas.

The government has big plans for tourism in St. Thomas. It seems as if the parish already has a major tourist attraction. Look at what happens in Black River.

From I was a child, there have been crocodiles on these roads during heavy rains. This is nothing new. My father told me about them. We would always look out for them when we drove through the area.

The man is doing the right thing. He passionate about the plight of the Jamaican croc. There are a lot of people in the community who just yab, yab, yab. Jamaican saying when you talk too much without validation (facts).

Educate them Brother. Ignorance is so dangerous when mixed with overzealous lies for excitement.

That is how crocodiles operates, he is right, the residents of that community is speaking from the lack of knowledge. These animals are protected specie, and are to be left alone. Definitely doing the right thing by protecting these animals from people.

Jamaica is a free for all country, everyone came here from other countries do what them want without any trouble.

This is my community and I learnt a lesson from that same sea, it wash weh my house in 2004 when I was 15 years old, so we built a house far on d other side, it was scary I swear
