I have the HD-15 and I love it but it would be real nice to have a marshall style because the HD-15 is more or less a SLO with a Shiva. Your thoughts on this?
You took the words right out of my mouth and Yess, agreed. Malcolm Young would turn in his grave and would go “What is this shit? Play me some chords, You know? I wanna hear some riffs, alright?” Lol 😂
Why is everybody so afraid to turn it up and put the pre on ten and the master on ten and play the damn thing...no body is buying this amp to play jazz or country or AC/DC...TURN THE DAMN THING UP...it won't blow the world up
I never get demos where people sit there and turn knobs. All a 2204 needs is dialed in to the sweet spot and then just roll back the guitars volume control for cleans.
Junk don’t buy. They’ve finally upgraded them with a bias adjuster but they use the absolute cheapest crappy ceramic tube sockets made in China. They are trash will cause all sorts of problems. If they want to make this amp better they should start using better tube sockets in all spots. If u want to upgrade the current ones it’s not a simple pull abs swap the chassis has to be redrilled for the better sockets. It’s a pain in the butt. I wouldn’t bother with these as long as they are using those cheap ceramic tube sockets. They will literally degrade and fall apart quickly or even when they are new. Throw them in the trash.
@@sunday.76 lol JP the type of dude who spends $4k+ on a les paul which doesn't stay in tune, then justifies it and say "I can live with it" lol. Price tag isnt everything and the Wang 2204 is a fabulous amp and I've had it for a while. Don't be a snob and don't be a dick.
Jack Song This amp is a waist of money in its current state. Should be $350 at most considering the parts used. It’s made with inferior Chinese parts that’s a fact. I suffered at the hand of the hype. Lucky for you if got one working but it’s just a matter of time before it fails especially with the cheap tube sockets. It’s your dime. If that makes me a dick then so be it.
@@sunday.76 Tube sockets are like $15 online, and most people own a drill and soldering iron in this business. We're talking maybe an extra $100 during the inevitable tube change, especially since most amps ship with cheap tubes in case of breakage, you should change tubes eventually anyways. Just say you're biased against Chinese companies and that you've never actually bought one. That's far more understandable than crying because they're keeping costs consumer friendly.
Sal Zulli obviously your English comprehension isn’t good because if it was you would have read in my comment I had bought one and modified it. The amp isn’t terrible but it’s also not great. Why should we have to buy a new amp just to work on it? they decided to use cheap inferior parts. Sure for people that understand amps it’s not an issue to modify it. But to imply someone a (novice) can just do this or that with no understanding of the dangers of tinkering in a potentially lethal high voltage amp is just silly. Simply It’s not worth the asking price. If you paid full price And don’t mind having to correct the cheapness by all means knock yourself out. I just don’t think people should be mislead that this is a JCM 800 equivalent It’s not it’s cheaper made with inferior sockets and parts etc. This amp is worth $400 tops. Don’t be a knucklehead. If you don’t like my comment by all means suck on your Wang. Seems to be a lot of Wang sucking comments on this video thread.
Was looking for proper demo on these and you delivered. Thanks
A les Paul junior through one of these would be incredible
Love the glassy tight crunch
Sounds awesome!!!

Yeah I want the Marshall style one for that old school metal and rock tone.
Wonderful tone
K M: all excellent quality guts.
I thought this amp was a JMP and not a "JCM" 800 ?
The circuits are close, but accordimg to Wangs, this is based on a late 70's JMP.
My guess is a ‘77 JMP. Those were the best of the late 70’s. He supposedly tweaked the midrange circuit though.
Awesome tone, what speaker cabinet is used?

good demo , lots of chords .people demo amps with lead and i dont think we learn anything .
Great observation. A great lead player can make a shitty amp sound great, it's hard to make a bad amp sound good just playing some simple easy chords!

No clean tones?
3:30 is pretty clean
Bogner?

Well some people might be lmao, i wish this dude would do a demo with multiple genres.
Everybody wang Chung tonight

Why would people not be buying the amp to play acdc? It's a clone of a marshall lol
@@Brutalmetal93 Fair enough but you get the point...
Nice run-thru;)
Do you still have this? Has it held up quality wise? I'm looking for a jmp 2203 sound for home use only.

Put it side by side next to a jcm800 lead sirius.this video show absolutely nothing
Instead of playing 3 chords over and over , some riffs that people may recognize would have been cool. Thanks still 🤷♂️
We've demoed an amplifier, not our guitar skills :)
ChoptonesOfficial not about skills, but rather familiarity. Playing a rock riff will people “hear” if it can sound like like said riff.
