Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the full exemption of Basic Customs Duty (BCD) on key materials like cobalt, lithium-ion battery scrap, and other critical minerals used in EV battery manufacturing. This move is expected to significantly reduce the production costs of electric vehicles, making them more affordable for the Indian consumer.
This video analyzes the impact of this crucial decision on the Indian EV market. We discuss how this move will accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles, boost domestic manufacturing, and contribute to a cleaner and greener future.

But will the car manufacturer pass on the benefit to the customers by reducing the prices? NEVER.
They have to.. They have competitive pressure among them and to improve the sales, pricing is the key
They have been doing it time and again
Tata ev prices are reduced already
They already did read reports
@@incaseyoumissed323Prices will come down by April 2025
This is targeted at domestic manufacturing of lithium battery, but almost all ev batteries are bought from China's BYD. How this is going to benefit EVs in Indian market?
1st time satisfactory and a good budget for middle class.
Will
Imported hybrid cars get cheaper? And by how much?
Well asked
They will reduce Rs 1000
It's high time that India ho agressive on Green tech including EV'S . China is ahead in the game but India should go all out
Hybrid car models also need to reduce tax.
It will be good for mileage and middle class will prefer to buy for low prices
Better to directly reduce GST on EV
It’s not present in most states (including RTO) and FAME 1 had given further subsidies. Only greedy states still tax EVs rest don’t.
Good Explanation Sirji..: Keep it up 👍
Keep watching
What likely price reduction can happen 🤔🤔😟 that u did no answer 😟😟
When we can expect price change
Most likely companies will eat away that as profits
When other competitors will launch cheaper cars ... otherwise companies will not pass on the benefit to consumers.
If prices get reduced then there will be boom in EV car sales.
Can we expect reduce price from april 1????
Nothing to happen. This kind of announcements been hearing since last 5 years but still nothing have been seen in the ground.
Price cuts as discounts will only be seen after 6 months to 2 years
Byd sourced batteries will remain expensive for mahindra and maruti?
From April 1, price must come down from present level ti ev, s... 👍👍
@sajanbabu8101 not possible, atleast 7 months
Bhai this will not help any middle class consumer as the cells needs to be imported there is no clearity ..what is lithium battery manufacturing means in terms of defination per say ..the battery gose in the pack and the pack manufacturering can take place with impoted batteries from chinna? That dosent solve the problem as they don't export hihgh quality batteries to others they give low quality but if you import the battery pack manufacturered in china it can help Indian consumer with benifit of increased range and durability of car battery pack...impotiong cells n making pack here is no use
Hmm not bad for ev.
This does not suit someone who is speaking on national television
🙏🙏🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🙏🙏🙏
