Normally I‘m a silent fan of yours, but I really want to tell you how much I love your videos. You, Charlie, the doggos and your wholesome life in the Cotswolds are all so uplifting to watch. I rather watch your videos instead of TV or anything else. It‘s so entertaining, realxing and never get‘s boring. Your whole life inspires me so much for the creation of my own lifepath. Hopefully I can soon visit all the beautiful places in the Cotwolds, you show us all the time. Keep up your good work. Lots of love from Germany!
Oh Josie my dear ! You should pull rhubarb not cut it …the stump you leave can rot and damage the plant
Honestly I’m just waiting for josie’s wedding prep vlog series❤️I can’t wait to be a part of it❤️
Yes!!!!! Me too!
Same here.
God bless you and Charlie for the amazing work you do to inspire, uplift and entertain us.
Your videos have gotten me through so much and I don’t say that alone. You’ve built an incredible community here and we thank you everyday. Just wanted to remind you how special you are.❤
Memkoh, I agree. Bless you too!
100% agree. I never ever miss a VLOG. At Christmas they are beyond fabulous, inspirational, cozy spirited, and filled with love.🌿💚🐕🏡. The Garden season is so fun to watch.🌿🌸
Yes, exactly I live in Michigan and that’s exactly what we do. We cut them down in the fall and they regrow in the spring so you can definitely cut them down.
The two zimmerman dresses are STUNNING on you! There is something about the sleeveless dress that's so chic... so simple, yet so much art in the construction of the dress!
They are stunning. Wish I was brave enough to wear so many colours!
I don't think that the grasses are dead. Cut them back and I am sure that green sprouts will appear soon.
Just an idea…..You have three jars of covered rhubarb, so you could force one per year, leave the other two uncovered, and always have one that’s able to be used in the spring!
Hi Josie, We had the same grass in our garden in Germany- they looked like that every winter and weren’t actually dead at all. Then we cut them back and they were green in summer and autumn
My grasses look like this after every winter. I just cut them back and they regrow nice and new! If you get rid please offer them to someone else to transplant as I’m sure someone would love to have them ❤
The best way to make the baking paper fit the baking tin is to cut the amount you need, turn tin upside down, put paper on top, fold each of the corners down to fit as if you’re basically wrapping up a present without tape, turn tin right side up & the paper case will fit perfectly inside tin 😁 🍰.
The flowers in the Daylesford bouquet are astrantia (or as I much prefer the other name..Hattie’s pincushion 🥰).
My Dachsie's have always ruled the roost and I love their strength of character. I have had this breed since I was 1 yr old and absolutely adore Dachschunds. They never do anythng with out a reason- so if Dexter was barking in increments- he had a reason and my bet he got the results he was going for. :)
Are you sure the grasses are really dead? I'm in the Midwest (US) and we just cut back our ornamental grasses really low to ground level in either Fall or Spring, to allow for the new growth to come through in the new year. Just a thought before you tear them all out. ♥
Same! Ground level in autumn and they come back to their previous size.
Yes, a lot of people don't realise that they're actually not dead and a big part of the beauty of these grasses is their beautiful soft structures that move in the breeze during winter creating interest through the cold months. I'd be surprised if the professionals didn't know what plants suited the area! 🤔
Yes, we do the same here in the So. I never pull anything out until everything has has a good last chance!
Love the music editing, the green floral dress and the way that cake looks (in my experience these taste better than surreal looking ones.) Such a lot of fabulous footage of Spring flowers & pots. Your content is #1 🏆
I live in Ottawa, Canada and we are in a zone 5a, our winters see snow (lots of it) and temps can go down to -25C. I have grasses that "look" like yours every year but once the snow has gone, (our last frost dates are May) tiny green shoots start to appear and they regrow to their former glory. The nice thing about grasses is that they give a lovely fall and winter show. I hopt yours come back! BTW that green Erdem dress is perfection and with your green shoes
Once again, thank you for your wonderful content, I sit with my cuppa and just sit back learn and enjoy every time💞
My little dog, Buddy, is a mountain goat too! He is half Shih Tzu, half Maltese so a Malshi. I found him when he was 18 months old at a rescue shelter. He loves to find the highest spot in the room to sleep - which is the back of the sofa. I love seeing your dogs and I totally understand how much you love them.
Josie, the Erdem dress from NET-A-PORTER looks like it was especially made for you - you look sensational in it!😍 I'm positive la,la, and Charlie's mum will have been ecstatic with their Mothers Day flowers - I don't think I've seen a more stunning bouquet filled with all of my favourite flowers!! 😍
The grasses can be cut back (and separated by the root to keep size small) to the ground. They will regrow to the size you had as long as they are hardy to your zone. Someone would love to have them if you want to dispose of them. I know if you called and said you wanted to get rid of ornamental grasses, I would come over within the hour and take them out for you. Consider separation and trimming before disposal.
I agree, our Mexican Feather Grass does the same thing. It can be separated and quite often the center dies back. I can't help but wonder if Josie and Charlie's grasses could be saved, even just a bit of them?
Definitely - Josie cut them down to the ground and look for regrowth, plus divide them. I don't think they're the same as Monty Don's grasses, and I don't think they are dead.
Exactly! It’s not dead
I so love your videos. A perfect balance of home garden and product placement. So genuine and refreshing a format. Some have become an hour of product promoting. You and Leonora are just a breath of fresh air. ❤
Josie .. I am completely addicted to your vlogs ‼️ of the four of you, of the house, of the garden, of the good food, of the fittings of the dresses , of everything 😍 ✨💖 Happy Spring
Thank you so much 🫶💐🥰💞
❤What a brilliant, wholesome vlog! Some gardening, STUNNING bought flowers!!!, a gorgeous celebratory table dressing at the end, beautiful spring clothes, lovely recipes, birds singing in the peaceful garden, silly, and adorable sausages... So lovely to watch! Thank you ❤
I would cut down the grass bushes right away (6-10 inches above ground), I think you're supposed do that late winter/early spring. You can also divide the grass root if and when it gets too large, and plant elsewhere but don't throw them away 😊
Thank you for including chapters now! Love the Zimmerman dresses to pieces!
Good Morning from Georgia in the US! Thank you for your vlog yesterday and today. Y'all are just so inspiring, as to, how love, hard work and responsibility pays off with a life of fun, beauty and commitment to each other and your families. I also wanted to make a comment about your hair. You said in a past video that someone made the comment that your beautiful wavy hair made you look older.......I don't think so!!! If anything your hair made you stand out. I asked a few of my family members to judge your hair....hands down, everyone loves your beautiful waves and curls! (aged old to young) Our grandson, said it reminded him of Farra Fawcet from the 70's or is it 80's. ❤ from Georgia USA
Loving your hair of late. You really do suit straight and round brush blow dry hair style looks. You look more sheek. Loving it!❤
I share my life with a cat, not a sausage dog, but my little Iris (her name) meows every morning very early for her breakfast and gives me on the nose the cutest paws of the world. And I also tell her she’s a prettier princess than any XD 😺
As always, a wonderful presentation of the family life of a couple, who love each other lots and who enjoy being together. Thanks for your hard work. Take it easy and relax every now and then for a while. Hugs from Spain once again
I loved the border the first year when you included the Cosmos.
Just fab. The flowers for Mother’s Day were stunning and I am still laughing at Charlie saying no to Dickens and you replying “I can do what I want daddy” brilliant
Hi Josie , fabulous outfits , cake looked yummy , and your day out shopping was amazing. Hope they all enjoyed Mother’s Day gifts , and once again Thankyou for sharing it all with us xx
I’ve been loving the soundtrack of the vídeos lately. So Bridgerton. ❤️
Loaf tin liners are the answer josie - looking forward to trying this recipe with my Evesham forced rhubarb. Thanks for the inspiration 😊
When I wake up , I get my coffee and see you in my tv .
Your beginnings are beautiful . Watching your patio and the birds are a perfect way to wake up . Love it ❤
I love the Garden Room! And I absolutely love the Dressing Table that’s there. It stands out but not gaudily. I like the gold.
Now my afternoon is complete and I can go on a long walk by the sea. I love how you evolved from "white and pink" lady to "all shades of green" lady! This colour looks amazing on you.( The only shade of green that suits me is emerald green, I'm jealous). Anyway, have a lovely evening darling Josie.
your vids make me miss the UK even more..., can't wait to return and do some boutiquey shopping for my girls.. :) keep showing some of your great clothing and other household accessories. It would also be nice to see Charlie showing some of his gear as well ..
NO NO NO!!!! Those grasses are supposed to look like that!! I have the same ones. My Gardner cuts them back each year so they stay somewhat manicured, but they are NOT DEAD!!! Please try and see. Thanks X
Love how you begin with doggies
Lovely vlog Josie! Beautiful Erdem dress, fits you perfectly. 💕
LOVE Monty Don - Kevin (husband) and I watch Gardeners World every Saturday morning with coffee 🥰 Beautiful vlog - thank you for sharing.
Another wonderful vlog, lots of interesting content. I do so love watching you pottering about in the greenhouse and garden. Thank you for sharing 😘
ADORABLE garden room!!! Looove the color!!!!!❤
Ah lovely Josie. You were so happy and bubbly in this vlog, it was an absolute joy to watch. Thank you 💐💕.

Your little doggies are probably the cutest dogs ever ❤️
Those flower bouquets are absolutely gorgeous!
The Zimmermann looked fantastic on you and I love your hair like this, young and fresh
Lovely vlog Josie.Charlie is so funny and your sausages are adorable, sweet angels ❤
Another wonderful vlog to thank you for.
Haha!!! Our little Chester Bichon was a mountain goat too. He loved to perch on the couch behind my husband's head!!! Sadly, he crossed the rainbow bridge last April 6th at 13. We love seeing your pups each video!!! We see how much you and Charlie love them and they love you!! What pup would not want to live in a Cotswold Paradise!!!
Oh baby 😢
❤ my evening is complete now
You can also do a picture matte in the frames that isn't white. Maybe a bronze or a light green shade of the same color on the wall. Will make less of a sharp contrast between the two
You just looked stunning in your new dresses and your cake came out wonderful! I always enjoy your vlogs, never miss a one of them.
I agree.. Dexter would be Ross Poldark 🥰 Baking, gardening & that fabulous Erdem dress … everything is just my cup of tea Josie. Thank you ❤️
Lovely vlog Josie. I love the first time lapse of the garden. I look forward to more garden time lapse.❤
Wow, your garden is the best! It's not just a source of calmness with the flowering plants but also a great source for your healthy meals. Nice. Love your Loewe sweater btw.
My Dear Josie, it's not the dress which make the elegance, it 's the person, and you are the most elegant lady i can see on YT, you have that natural way of " maintien" sorry i don't know the exact word in english, the way you move , you are elegant yourself, so you can wear anything you will always look elegant and charming lady, i simply adore you ! Thanks for all the lovely videos , it 's delightfull to me, also to see Charlie beside you, what a great couple and family you are ! Sending much Love to you both ♥Sophie
If peonies are planted too deeply they won’t flower! Things are coming together Josie🦋
Those dresses looked absolutely beautiful on you! Lively vlog ❤
A lovely time spent with the two of you… Your garden is going to be absolutely gorgeous! I love your enthusiasm about Pottering around! Hope your day is great💎🦋
I would love the title Professional Potterer if I could figure out how to pay my bills
Hi Josie. I was always told never to cut rhubarb at the root as it stops it growing again you should just gently pull it and it comes away low near the base x
Yep you’re absolutely right / I only found this out AFTER I’d cut these 😂
Yey we going out with Charlie! Luv my Charlie ❤
The beautiful sounds of birds and bells!
I’m glad you got those dresses .. so much of that collection was made for you x
Lovely to see spring arriving. For a loaf cake pan, cut two pieces of parchment paper, one that fits down one end, across the bottom and up the other end. No wider than the width of the pan. The other down one side, across the bottom and up the other side and no wider than the length of the pan. Fussier but neater. Looked great. Rustic icing is a style. You nailed it. 👏👏👏👏
Wonderful vlog as usual Josie ❤️
My German Shepherd, Norman, has a lovely quirk: he literally curls up to sleep at 7:30PM, and doesn't wake until (maybe) 7:30AM... he's done that since we rescued him in 2020. Occasionally, when the deer herd moves through at 2AM, we'll hear a screaming howl that will wake the dead. So, Dog Mums get it... right? 💚
The dresses are fabulous ❤
Erdem dress, beautiful on you Josie! Cake looked lovely. I may try and make that.x 😚
Another delightful vlog Josie. Impressive rhubarb by the way!! I absolutely adore your furry boys I’d never get any work done with those two around. Erdem dress is beautiful. Wedding hair trial day!! Ooooh so exciting and really love that bow. ❤
Hello Josie! Wonderful dresses! Thank you so much!
You should look at buying some fun dog toys for the dogs. This way they won't be bored or sleeping all the time.
Those flowers in the shop are really beautiful 😍you too are sensational love you both 🥰must say Josie the green colour dresses are very much your colours xx
Another packed vlog of loveliness🤗 and the cake looked delicious, and I'm definitely going to try it out. My hubby and I were at Daylesford last Saturday and were just leaving as you and Charlie arrived. Would have loved to have said hello 👋😊
Oh Josie, you are every woman!!I am wowed by everything you do....such precision and authenticity.I've said it once and I'll say it again'you are truly,a one of kind sensation.Your vlogs are so soothing and honest....so good that others are trying to be you;following your every footsteps{which I might had is truly annoying}.There is, and will always be ...only one Josie!!!You are so blessed and so loved by all!!!Hoping to see you soon in those ravishing Zimmerman dress.Love you Josie!!!
We always enjoy your videos Josie ❤ my sister gifted me the amazon leggings...(the ones you highly recommended) and oh my, they are so comfortable!! The best leggings I've ever worn! Thank you for recommending them 👍🏽 and of course thank you to my lovely sister for the thoughtful gift 😁 xxx
Love these nice calm bits and pieces blogs. 😊
Just lovely as usual Josie. 😊😊😊
You looked absolutely beautiful in thoes dresses josie stunning girl x
I love you in floral patterns you do wear them well. The one with the fluff sleeves and shorter is so nice on you.
Oh that first and third dresses on you are absolutely stunning …
The little 'tree' in your greenhouse looks like an Azalea. You can get lovely ones that are hardy in the garden - might be a good replacement for some of the grasses in your borders.
So much to say but the green dress ur wearing w the simple hairstyle is stunning.
How cute the intro with Dexter 😍❤
Super vlog Josie thank you and that cake looks scrumptious xx
Scrumptious ah!!!!!!
Love the sunglasses
Oscar de loRENZA 😂😂😂anyhoo- I loved the dress from Oscar de la Renta💚
Here in the South Eastern US we trim our grasses in late Fall. Then by March the new leaves (branches?) start growing again. May be different in the UK?
Not different. Exactly the same. Can be done in early spring too.
I so wish Charlie had his own channel.
Our Australian Terrier Eddie is a sofa climber as well - he climbs as high as he can now matter where he is! If there is a rock, stair or bench, he will be on it, even if only for a moment while he trots past on a walk 😂 if you love sausages you will definitely love Aussies, they’ve got the short legs and big personalities 🙈
Loved the first two dresses ,the style on them are beautiful on you. 👍🥰
Great vlog ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍loved the cake it looked fab
Thank you for the great tips of the peonies! Love those 💕🙏 xx
I’m not sure if our grasses are the same species or not but they look identical. And every March, our landscapers cut them back to the size of a half globe and they grow back beautiful every year.
Well Josie you put everything I love to watch in this video. Have you ever made a strawberry rhubarb crisp? It’s delicious. Your cake looked scrumptious. All those dresses looked so beautiful on you. I can’t wait to see your garden this Summer. It won’t be long😍😍
Oooh no but that sounds amazing ❤
Delias sponge mix is thick…. Beautiful fashion content! 🤩
Another great vlog Josie, by the way the flower in the bouquet is called Astrantia.😊
I was so confused as a New Englander when Monty Don said that about his grasses needing to be ripped out. Here ours die every year-we leave them for fall color -then cut them way down (inches off the ground) around this time of year. They come back every spring, but maybe we have different grass species than the British grasses??
I just was catching up on your vlogs! The rhubarb cake looks amazing. Also, I'm curious if you cut your ornamental grasses down in the spring like we do here in the US? We usually cute the grasses down to about 3 inches in height and then new fresh grass grows in the spring. I can't imagine your grass is actually dead dead. Just a thought.
I should give you my upside down rhubarb cake recipe, it’s soooo good! My mom made it every Easter.
Omg I make pineapple upside down cake, rhubarb would be amazing!
As usual, I loved every minute of your vlog, beautiful Josie💙 . Fabulous dress for Mother's Day👌. Since watching your channel - my dress collection has increased ... just slightly 🥰 👗. Beautiful Blessings Mandy ⚜️ (SA)
