I never thought I was going to enjoy so much the unboxing of someone else's guitar!!!
Justin Johnson- I feel privileged to have seen you play live- we are all Jones'n for another fix! WE NEED TO SEE YOU PLAY - pick a venue and I'll be there!
Beautiful instrument!! Masterful playing!! Thank you Justin!!
Beautiful full sound but not muddy, all of the tones of the strings just ring so clear and clean, a very nice guitar, thank you Justin.
Really SWEET guitar. I believe another major contributing factor to the overall sound & tone is because there is no sound hole in the top, there is more real estate in that spruce top to resonate. I'm definitely impressed.
There are 2 JJs I could listen to all day. JJ Cale and Justin Johnson
Yep. Me too...love 'em both! 😄
Gotta smile at the niche you, Justin, have carved out for yourself. Stand tall mate, you're one of the most capable and respected players of all time. 👍👌
man, sometimes your phrasing is just sooo cool. you drop these little gems here and there among the other stuff. it's those couple few notes that you both do and don't see them coming. it's almost like listening to someone speak.
This guitar has such a killer sound no matter how played or plugged it in, just wicked
The mix of the two plus your hands and ears...bravo!!!
Great review Justin!!! I love your style of playing!
Justin, would love to see you and Billy Strings play together one Martin and one of the Cort guitars like you are playing here. Very impressed with the Cort sound.
Wow I was looking for a Black Guitar with Natural sides! That's gorgeous! 😍
👍🏻👍🏻That is one gorgeous-sounding and looking guitar and it's almost on par with the guitarist. I'm looking forward to you using it again and again in upcoming videos.
Justin that Cort guitar is beautiful. I love the way it looks and sounds. The different ways that you played it and brought out the various qualities. I love the portals and finish. Just flat awesome. Thank you for sharing and helping me enjoy the beauty and your talent ❤. Best always Rusty
Needed this today more than you know, thanks again Justin.
Nice looking guitar and the pickup really adds a fullness to the sound. Great choice can't wait to hear more songs done on it. Congrats on the new guitar!!
Anything you play sounds good! Keep up the awesome work!
Right!?
all the best to the best guitarist
Holy S@@t!!! That thing just plugged in with a little reverb was amazing!!!!! Then all the rest you did with it........🤯🤯🤯
You should play your Dark blues Mountain song with this thing!!
Saweeeeet! I have a 1970's vintage Cort and its fun. This is a real beauty and your playing just makes it sweeter Justin! Thank you!
Hardly anyone says trippy anymore, hah I love it!! What a unique design with those port holes
Best unboxing ever! Thank you Justin.
Heh that knife reminds me of Ed Ames almost castrating Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show!
Makes so much more sense the sound hole on top where ya can hear it. Justin can make a 2 string shovel sound like a primo vintage guitar we all dream of owning. Nice review
I had an Arbor Sound Port acoustic 6 string around 30 years ago. It had the standard front port and 2 ports on top. One of the best sounding guitars I've ever heard......
nothing quite like watching a master craftsman apply his skills to an instrument of his profession.
Beautiful guitar! In Justin's hands they all sound so sweet!
He could strum a banana peel and make it sound good. That is a beautiful guitar and in the hands of a masterful musician
The best guitarist for a DEMO of your product! Justin is 🤯💥
Sound amazing 👍👍👍
I think, along with all the other things you mentioned ; because the front of the Guitar
has no holes, it is able to resonate the String Vibrations Exponentially Better.
This is one of the Best Sounding Guitars I have
ever Heard !! Great Playing Justiin !! 🌿
Cort actually makes alot of guitars for a lot
Of different companies ,I have a cort jazz box that a lot of my friends like to play over their Gibson jazz boxes.
Justin, I could listen to you play all day everyday
Wide and clear spectra! 👍
I recently bought a Cort 1200 as my everyday player. It is easily the best sounding and playing guitar I have ever owned.
I never thought in my life I'd see a Cort and think "I have to have that guitar" lol what is happening
I’m sure this is a great guitar, but have you ever heard any guitar that doesn’t sound amazing when Justin plays it? He’s incredible.
Cort Core OC Mahogany?
One of the best acoustics I've played,
especially for the price.
Yes, I remember just becoming a teenager in the early 80's-our little music store got in a couple "cheap" Cort electric guitars.
A flying "V" and maybe a destroyer. Both were two tone blue. To a broke kid just learning how to play guitar I thought they were incredible. A friend of mine ended up buying the "V" and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it to play it every time. What a time to be alive!
There are a lot of good guitars and basses by Cort. Many are much better values than the "name" brands... dozens of which are made at the Cort factories as well.
Actually I found court to be quite innovative in their approach to new designs, mostly In the innovative ways they wire some of their guitars.
Yep that's exactly how my guitar sounds when I play it.
😂😅❤
Man that thang is beautiful!!! I'd love to see one built. Super wicked!
Check out Wilborn Guitars, Comma series
Hunted one of these down when the only made a small batch. It’s an incredible guitar. And people are blown away by the look and sound of it. Nice review. And spot on
Sounds 👏 amazing. Doesn't hurt that it is being played really, really well.
Love that guitar, and as always, awesome playing. Thanks for the video!
Thanks Justin, looked sooo good , I bought one!
More of you playing please, love to jam along :-)
You guys are awesome? No, Justin YOU are AWESOME 👏
I have been playing a Boulder Solitaire acoustic guitar for about 2 months now. It also has the sound hole on the top side of the guitar. I appreciate this dynamic very much. It is great when you are playing guitar for yourself, or practicing and trying to really hear the sounds that your audience hears with a traditional guitar with the sound hole on the front. I do appreciate your review of this brand as well. I'd like to check one out sometime.
Gorgeous guitar and it sounds so sweet when you play it.
Thanks so much 🙏
A very Lovely looking and sounding guitar Justin! And as always you make it sing so very well from the Heart! Kind Thanks, Many Blessings and More Music! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
I absolutely love this guitar!!! My favorite unboxing to date!!! Only bad thing is the video was not long enough! LOL Thanks Justin!!!
Really sounds great 👍
Dude! With hands like yours, you could play a telephone pole! Great vid, dig the Cort geets too.
Absolutely beautiful and sounds awesome
Looks & sounds great!!
Mr Justin Johnson. You Sir are an Incredible person and Guitarist just AMAZING!!!!! Love your music videos !
I played that model about a week ago at a music store in their acoustic room. It’s very nice indeed but not for me.. I decided to buy the Cort Gold A6 Nat model instead. And I’m still gassing for the Cort Passion model that the store didn’t have in stock. Cort are definitely building some fabulous guitars these days. I’d love to know how many prototypes they built to decide on two huge side sound ports on this model. Great review! Cheers from Australia!
Love your guitar playing, you inspire me to want to create my own sound, I've been playing for over 35 years now, I love music, and experiment with all kinds of genres and also with different tuning and sounds. Thanks again for sharing what you do, your music is amazing. I want to try one of those shovel guitars that you play, think there pretty cool.
Beautiful guitar. Love the acoustic natural sound but I've never been a fan of piezo pickups. They just sound flat for lack of a better way to describe it tho that might not be the best way to say it. Just a bit lifeless or something. However, the natural sound on this is beautiful. But then, you make any guitar sound good. This is indeed a gorgeous instrument!
Beatiful guitar! Great sustain time to an outstanding perform. Bravo.
Great Review, Thank You Mr Johnson 🙏👍
JJ could make a bag of rocks with string sound this great . Yay Jj
Dude,you rock....
Winner winner🎉
That guitar has an awesome sound. I've never heard the gorgeous tune you play at 14:30. Is it one of yours?
I'm commenting to get a notification if someone comes up with a name for this tune.
The guitar looks beautiful, that's undeniable.
Now, I don't see the advantage of the holes at the top, except that they can have greater access to the microphone when the performer sings... I don't know. Would have to listen to the same model with the hole in the front and this version.
What I really like is the width of the neck. There is greater separation between the strings and for an amateur like me it is an advantage.
Beyond that, dear Justin, you can make music with a sowel, so in your hands any guitar will sound good.
In Argentina we say "The important thing is not the arrow or the bow but the archer."
Hug from the South.
What he said, you can hear the nuances better, and you can play more quietly if that's an issue at home. It's also very responsive but that may just be the Engelmann spruce top and the full board minus the hole.
As for the neck, apart from the width, like he said the asymmetric shape not just down the neck but across the neck as well makes it a very comfortable guitar to hold and quickly slide down when playing
I've been thinking 🤔 this for years.... glad to hear and see...
JJ could sell me a cardboard guitar with shoelace strings
This guitar has a powerful sound, I love it
Great review. I was in the market for a new acoustic when Cort popped up on my radar. To get the features I wanted, I would have had to spend 3 to 4 times as much on a name. I went with the Cort Gold DC-6 and couldn't be happier with it. I play out and occasionally host open mic. It's nice not having to worry about a little road wear or letting someone else play it.
Your videos are 1/informative 2/educational 3/Wonderful/Entertaining and Of all great practice sessions.. Peace and Love My Friend great work... ✌️🤠✌️
Man you can unbox a complete piece of firewood and still make it sound fantastic.
i can listen to this all day no problem.. we are just lucky this guitar was also very good. wow
You hear that?....The guitar is in love!
Greetings Mr. Johnson. I've been building semi hollow electric guitars with the holes smoothed into the sides since 2001. Bro I just got the wood for #24. The design pushes the waves out of the body away from the strings. It was my solution to Chet Atkins quest for electric guitar sustain and tone perfection. If y'all have an email I will send some pics of the insides including the central Vesica Picsies chamber under the pickup cells that drives the waves. Sound is a funny thing man. Your a great player and it may be possible to get # 24 in your hands for a cruise around the track. I have a hand full of videos showing some of my last few babies. Love the show man. I'm glad the concept is grabbing hold without me having to be anything but an artist idiot savant. Sweet. See ya again as I'm bout to sub Mr.Johnson. Good day.
I’d like to see a comparison with your new x10 when you get it.
The mic and peizo together sound excellent!
Marvelous playing M. Johnson.
Wish he could come to Oklahoma ❤. He's my number 1 favorite 😊
Stellar playing as ever. Interesting guitar. Acoustically it sounds great and blended too. I am not too keen on the piezo only sound. “Quacky” like most under saddle pick ups. Mind you Justin can make a shovel sound magic.
At laste quitar tester who play the guitar not just power chords, A major scales million notes per seconds. On this your video we got understood how this Cort acoustic quitar really sounds. Thank you.
Cort makes some of the best guitars on the planet!
I'm digging it, you make anything sound good
That guitar is beautiful. Sounds great too!
While even shovels sound great in your hands Justin, this is a really gorgeous guitar in both look and sound!
I like Cort had a Cort effecter once a long time ago explorer shaped and effects built in the guitar chorus wah and distortion where you just push a button on the guitar and the effect came through had really nice distortion in the guitar...
I love my Cort Goldedge.
Justin Johnson super thanks so much. хороший рассказ о гитаре. отличное исполнение.
Cool guitar design, color, all around new design.
This is the first time i heard you speak. I thought you were mute. Lol. Love your music. Keep it up.
Great looking guitar. And i feel that Mahogany gives the best sound. Had a Cort Tele. It was very heavy and strong constructed.
Thank you for these great reviews. This Cort is a beauty, nod to Gibson with truss rod cover & neck volute. I have a 2015 earth GC200 cedar top, great guitars!✌️
Loved the guitar an I loved your blues jam a little slide you'd sound like Johnny Winter thanks .
Bare fingers or picks - picking or strumming - the sound is crisp, clear and clean. Wakes your ears up to a definite, close-your-eyes kind of immersion playing and listening experience.
Pretty damn cool! But, I'm NOT crazy about the color of the top at all! Love to try it though! Sounds like a good one!
With not having a sound hole on the top more surface area is available to reverberate the sound. This could be the reason for the responsiveness. I would love to get one but there aren’t any dealers close to me.
Very nice guitar, added bonus, no more losing picks down the sound hole. Lol
Very cool guitar. Really something different.
Aside from being a phenomenal player, you’re also a very eloquent spokesperson!
Thank you :)
I’ve never played a guitar before, but I’ve always been interested. When I saw this video, it really grabbed my attention again and I truly love the looks and sounds of that particular guitar. Anyways, can you let me know what case you showed and what amplifier you were using? Much appreciated!
Sweet looking guitar
I made a four-string sliding guitar out of a metal ammo container. I drilled out some sound holes in the bottom so that when I lay my guitar down and play it like a lap steel, it projects to the audience.
Gorgeous. Only one consideration: satin finishes are not likely made to last. Not nore than some months. They will turn glossy...
Anything in your hands sounds amazing! Even a shovel or gas can
❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
