I found you guys randomly on UA-cam and to find out your songs are like 8 years old I should’ve BEEN listening to you guys but this music feels timeless wow what a find
I came here for nostalgia, this song was a big one for me as a teenager years ago. It’s pretty cool more people are finding their stuff all these years later. Happy listening!
I don't know what it is about this song, but I love it. In 20 days I will be leaving the city I currently live in, a city I love and hold dear to my heart, to go back to my "home"town. I use quotations cause I feel like my real home is where I am right now. I don't know when and if I will be back, and this makes me go through a lot of feelings and this realization has only truly hit aafter listening again to this song. I will definitely play this when watching the sunset here for the (hopefully not last) time.
The outro of this song is so so good. It's genuinely one of the best technically musical performances I've ever heard. I've been listening to this song for about 2 years now. It never ceases to amaze me
It really is great, isn't it? The whole song sounds like something is lurking beneath, and at the end it finally explodes into this blazing, agonizing instrumental. It's one of the best portrayals of an emotional meltdown I've heard in music, the drums remind me of the rhythm of a sobbing fit.
Perfect reflection. I remember Corbin talking about the guitar he used for that was this like $100 pawn shop guitar that just always had feedback when you weren't playing.
Can't believe I only found this band a few months ago. Cranium and pony got me looking at them and they have so many great songs. I really love this song sad could of been listening to it for so many years already
+SwedishMonkeythief grunge has always been dead. it's a made up term created by pop media during the early 90's. it's rock n roll. don't buy into grunge, spend your money on rock n roll.
UA-cam Premium or whatever popped this song into my feed and thank god. Crockpot got me into them but I fell hard for this band. Drunk me bought this record and now I can't get enough of their jams.
This is fucking fantastic. I want to say it reminds me of good 90's Weezer. There's something in the verse that makes me think of the Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll. And yet, it's wholly original. This is the best band I've discovered all year.
How does slothrust not have millions of subs and veiws on all their vids by now? I discovered them like 2 years ago now and think they're amazing. EVERYONE SHARE THEM
Ya know, I'm finding myself asking the same question now 5 years later.. ha, I sure am glad that I stumbled upon them at all though. I don't know what I'd do without this band in my life
Can you explain some potential meanings for those lyrics? I've never been able to interpret that line into anything significant but I know it holds a deep meaning.
I heard this band on You're The Worst, theme song on FX. If you like this you'll also like Magnets by them, especially the second part. Leah Wellbaum is as great a songwriter as Edgar A. Poe was a poet.
+DeL0NGER yea and all the openers were incredible as well! I enjoyed every single band they all brought something unique to the table. Greatest show I have ever been to.
+Blaine Wyler same but I think the openers were just as good in a different way. Awesome show hope these guys get more publicity, but it's a tough diluted music world out there. I try to buy stuff from bands I think are unique and good instead of bootlegging I spent a good 40 dollars on them. Hope it Goes on a long way!
cool band bro, and I'm half a geezer now. I love the slow fast slow rock. was watching old Pixies vids & link from Dangerbird Records playlist brought me here via Horseshoe Crab, also a pretty sick song & video too. stick to what your doing right.
CriticalThinker08 horseshoe crab broke me, ive never been the same since. This band strikes a harmony with my soul, just like the pixies & weezer but slothrust are like a concentrated form of fantasticness.
thank you spotify's "discover weekly"
+nixxi tattoos and this week for me! haha
SAME!
This week for me!
This week for me
last week for me
It's 2019 and this video still butters my croissant
End it
2020 dude, re listening to this just put a little chocolate drizzle on my bad boy of a croissant
mental note: begin using expression "butter my croissant" when applicable
What about now?
2022 and still buttering croissants

im in the same hole falling through time
I feel exactly the same way! Like where tf have I been!
I don't know what it is about this song, but I love it.

This song has such a soft but heavy sound, so dark sounding. Wtf this is the perfect song for me
May 29, 2023 - The day I discovered Slothrust. 🙂
29/1123🎉
She's every girl I've ever had a crush on.
[ NachoMan_ _Ranchy Salad ] so true
Damn.😳
Yeah.
so glad I watched you're the worst and found this band through their theme song because I'm more than in love with this songs and others.
Crackaveli D. same dude same
Crackaveli D. Agreed 100%
Exactly the same story haha
I was the opposite. Discovered Slothrust and stumbled upon the theme song of one of my fave shows. Gave them instant credibility. 😅
Wow this video has been up for 9 years. How time flys
The outro of this song is so so good. It's genuinely one of the best technically musical performances I've ever heard. I've been listening to this song for about 2 years now. It never ceases to amaze me

Word, the coda is on point
i mean dude its fucking awesome, not very technical tho
"I like cats. Do you like cats? Ofc, you do, you sassy mafaka" gotta be one of my fav lyrics.
It's so easy to listen to them. This is one of the groups I can vibe on since I stopped listening to music
Love the starting and stopping of the guitar in the chorus section with feedback. Song's got a little "Mayonnaise" in it.
The Smashing Pumpkins 'Mayonaise'?
Perfect reflection. I remember Corbin talking about the guitar he used for that was this like $100 pawn shop guitar that just always had feedback when you weren't playing.
I quarantine myself to this.
Our stomachs hurt together..
.. YEAH--YEAH!
Gatherer Thompson same 😂😂 quarantine play list
I hear that shit's contagious.
My Facebook memories just told me I saw them live 7 years ago. I’m certain it was a great show.
Can't believe I only found this band a few months ago. Cranium and pony got me looking at them and they have so many great songs. I really love this song sad could of been listening to it for so many years already
So damn good! Seriously, I'm so glad to see people are making music like they used to in the 90s. Grunge is not Dead!
+SwedishMonkeythief grunge has always been dead. it's a made up term created by pop media during the early 90's. it's rock n roll.
don't buy into grunge, spend your money on rock n roll.
You're a dimwitted nave gazer.
I like to believe its a mix between grunge and metal, and sum steve vaish notes there :p. But its always open for discussion
Despair and pain, that's what makes it agressive.
Discovered this band back when i was 13, been listening ever since
I found them when I was a baby
I found them before I was born.
Director: okay so how much weird shit?
Slothrust: yes
If you've never heard of it, look up "Off the Air". One of those Adult Swim shows that comes on at 1am, very similar vibes to this video
Just wearing my DEEP SEA DIVER tee under my other fave band tee! my violet, longsleeve SLOTHRUST comfort shirt!!😬🥰🥰🥰
I love Deep Sea Diver!
UA-cam Premium or whatever popped this song into my feed and thank god. Crockpot got me into them but I fell hard for this band.
Drunk me bought this record and now I can't get enough of their jams.
someone very important showed me this and i still think of them often but ik they dont
I support this song
I was reading the name as SLO THRUST until now.
+ben titus so good to have you here
I used to send this song to anyone who asked what i was listening to. It feels way older than 7 years.
What a fucking banger. I love this song so much.
I miss being your friend Matt. I missed when I knew who you were, and when I let you know who I was. Thanks for showing me this song.
I d like to thank my friend from Glasgow for introducing me this treasure
This is fucking fantastic.
I want to say it reminds me of good 90's Weezer. There's something in the verse that makes me think of the Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll.
And yet, it's wholly original.
This is the best band I've discovered all year.
It’s very similar to “Say it ain’t so”
I've been a fan of them for a little over a year now and I'm very excited for their new music this fall

Friend recommended this to me. Loving it.
"You love satan but you don't know her sometimes she gets scary" applicable in so many ways. Amazing lyricism
Can you explain some potential meanings for those lyrics? I've never been able to interpret that line into anything significant but I know it holds a deep meaning.
@@fishfur9530 People who get into something and don't know the first thing about it.

Seeing you guys in Savannah tonight!!! Rock the house
I heard this band on You're The Worst, theme song on FX. If you like this you'll also like Magnets by them, especially the second part. Leah Wellbaum is as great a songwriter as Edgar A. Poe was a poet.
Leah Wellbaum is a goddess and a lyrical and musical genius #SLOTHGODS #SLOTHRUST4LIFE
I just discover this band and really blow up my mind. Love it.
I like the melodic intro. Reminds me of June of 44 or Fugazi typesmusic. Really love it

Saw them at the criterion yesterday. Bad ass band!
Wouldn't have discovered this glorious band if it weren't for Johnny of Highly Suspect ☺
Kelly Pace Same here!
I woke up today wondering where Kelly Pace found Slothrust - No One
It's funny that he supports them because he said he hates rock music and doesn't give af about Nirvana, which sounds like this band.
Me too
@@tricko8000 "Doesn't give as fuck about Nirvana"? that makes no sense.
D.O.P.E 💯
fantastic live
Heard this tune on college radio in boston the other night and I LOVE it! Pretty sure it was 88.1fm WMBR
Excellent video for it, ~standing ovation
Slothrust and Skating Polly on the same bill would be a fucking dream!
I hear Built To Spill in this, pretty sweet.
Just found this song on a snowboard video. This is freaking amazing.

Saw these guys with FoT it was amazing. Glad you guys got to cleveland my buddy bought your vinyl and i got a t shirt.
+Tyler Potts That show was off the fucking hook.
that show was sick. I'd never heard them before, just there for TFOT, but they were fucking impressive.
Hope it
Goes on a long way!
even in 2021. best song
These guys sound sooo much better live!!!
soooo much love for you guys!
cool band bro, and I'm half a geezer now. I love the slow fast slow rock. was watching old Pixies vids & link from Dangerbird Records playlist brought me here via Horseshoe Crab, also a pretty sick song & video too. stick to what your doing right.
It's like pre studio sound weezer. Right? Like my name is jonas type stuff. anyways, i'm digging the shit, out of this
They are tight, Leah is kind of hot for a girl that prolly likes other girls. I like her pit hair, lol
CriticalThinker08 horseshoe crab broke me, ive never been the same since. This band strikes a harmony with my soul, just like the pixies & weezer but slothrust are like a concentrated form of fantasticness.
