I discovered this the night one of my friends took his own life, moments after learning the news. I love this song but it's also very painful to listen as it will forever be linked in my mind with the events that took place that night. Rest in peace, Sam. Every time I listen to this I'll be thinking of you.
4 am, we were two girls riding bikes in the middle of the night. I was from Tunisia, you were from Brasil, we met in China. You came to visit me in France, cause my mum died. We were two lost souls, riding bikes, in the middle of the night, listening to king Kurle, crying, and laughing. and loving each other, inconditionnally.
Ayda Seghiri that’s an absolutely lovely moment to share with someone and I’m so glad you have that memory❤️ really nice that energy is somewhere in the universe right now.

archiy and kimbie are the fuckin perfect combo and i can't enjoy either of them fully without thinking how much better it would be if they were just a band together
If you like this collaboration definitely check out you took your time with king krule and mount kimbie. One of the most underrated king krule songs in my opinion
I remember reading the book, "Ishi, Last of His Tribe" by Theodora Kroeber for a class in college. The bloodline and way of life disappeared forever with his demise and that of his people. Forever the saddest story I ever read.
@@ShamboKay they called him Ishi because it means "Man" in Yahi. In Yahi culture, you could not say your own name and someone else had to introduce you and your name, because of the California Genocide, he had no one else to say his name. he himself said he was never given a name, because of this so that is why he was given the name Ishi
@@SpartanChief2277 thank you for letting me know that. That must be a feeling, being the last person of your culture. I’m trying to even put myself in that situation and I find it even hard to describe. This man was there. I still haven’t read anything about this but every time I listen to this song. The video is in the back of my head and the images of this man are so mysterious to me still.
I was camping for a week. While in my tent at 1 AM I was listening to some radio (idk which one) I went outside to take a walk around the park. There was stars everywhere, as I was staring into the sky, this song came on. I really liked it so I added it to my main playlist. After maybe 3 months that playlist was forgotten and deleted. I went over to one of my friends house and they had a pandora station or something playing. I heard this song and immediately recognized something. I then went home still wondering what song I heard. I searched all over Spotify and then finally found it. I’m so happy I found this again.
Man this is fucking brilliant. Maybe one of the best songs I've heard in the last few years. The video, lyrics, Archie's likkle screaming adlibs and MKs production. Proper stuff this... Music that actually makes you feel something. This song will probably blow up as well... Top class.
Not directed by but involves collaboration from Frank Lebon (read description) comes from a family of filmmakers. him and his brother have directed the outmost if not all of the Mount Kimbie videos, check him out, just did the new ASAP Rocky video as well!
listen on 0.25 to see the art of song lyrics, story of Ishi, and his history display in video. most beautiful art (art is too simple to even describe this) I have ever experienced.
ive never seen anything like that, this vid is so deeply synchronized with my aestetic perception, its my favourite clip in the whole life, insane, ive watched this hundred times, every time like first, so cool

I can't believe they filmed the guy playing spiral knights. I played that so much in 8th grade and nobody I knew played it. It's like having walked down a street that a famous movie scene had been filmed on. I love this video so much.
This video came out summer right before my first yr of uni, wish I had that same passion back. I just remember watching this & thinking college was so cool during my first yr.
I listen to this and watch this video when I want to remember the happiest period of time in my life with another person. In so many ways we died and the message was to love what survives. I tried but it just was too much for me to live like that each day, grieving day after day. She never came back when she left. Sometimes it seems okay, and that I am grateful for finally leaving it all behind. Other times I just listen to these albums, watch the music videos and look at all the letters and photos of us during that time and cry while wishing things had been different. This world can be too much and has been too much and it seems right to leave and become the field of goldenrod in autumn upon a hill.

Six poor certainties in my pockets always drowning in a gluey grey when I listen to Krule's rough voice. Its sound is the livery line itself : whether try to keep on living or try to be scratched by his living.
If I can be shown 5 pictures of a rounded rock set to music and be made aware of a meaningful connections between the two stimuli, I'm happy. This was a great experience to see/hear this video.

This is the best song to run to, when you've got nothing left in the tank the screaming and yelling just makes you pump out that last ounce of energy
I dont know about anybody else but whenever i hear this song i get energy.
I get extremely depressed.
When Archy Marshall screams at 1:52 I get goosebumps.

as an art historian i could add it's a piece of art and history 😅
Krule’s soul piercing wail on this song is some of the most raw emotion ever put to record. I can feel the regret and heartbreak in my bones.

I don't understand the video? Could you explain what's good about it
@@Jens9807 That we can't understand it easily, that's one of the good things about it. It's experimentalism too !

Here's another thing
That threw up in my mind like the razor blade and her wrist locked
In a closet of Deep Space Nine
Deposit for a wasted life
I lost it with a sweepstakes sigh in another fucking fight
A junkie in a queue for the lavatory line
That's another lost sight
A stabbing of his eyes
Her veins are now popping like Blue Train lines
Still pumping on the bathroom floor, and not for the frost or what the mirror thought it saw
He got a clearer thought and pulled her straight out
"You got me jumping from a real safe height
I wanna fall forever if you ain't by my side
I wanna fall forever if you ain't in my life"
I just been eating away when I found her
All drowned in grey
I might have drowned her
I caught her plate number
And yeah, I might have seen it all
In Hell, excel like never ending
Life before us, light leaving us down
Smoke settled in a fabric of the BFE 34
Dropping burning crumbs on the seedy floor
In the back of a CD store
For the radio rat and a seedy door
Then she threw her money, yeah
And she still needs more
Then die of blood!
Six pounds in my pocket
I threw another man's change
Lose another man's six
I guess he might have seen it all
I just been eating away when I found her
All drowned in grey
I might have drowned her
I caught her plate number
And yeah, I might have seen it all
Six pounds in my pocket
I threw another man's change
