Thank you for the kind words Don, much appreciated! Brilliant example of a practical 3D print, I'm happy I was able to help you learn FreeCAD :)
Thanks for showing the full process even when things don't go according to plan. It's okay to make mistakes!
After watching your last few videos I've realized how much better it is if the UA-camr actually looks into the camera, not at a teleprompter or viewfinder.
Yes, most use some of that, but here it's very noticeable 😆
Haha yea makes a huge difference that's why I can't use teleprompter to read off of, I only use it for bullet point like model numbers and such

I use PIA for everything and I can say that my first year with them has been great!
That’s a power strip. PDUs have extra functions/price.
In that bottom space I'd put a cassete player, pref one with a flashy meter.
I've been struggling to find smaller racks like this in stock or not at inflated prices.
Good Idea... thx

Love this video series! I think I was one of the few people to snatch up one of the 9U mini racks before they sold out and I've been checking constantly because I wanting to get another to maybe try and fit some Mini ITX PCs in. I'm using the one I have for a bunch of Raspberry Pi's running ESXi. Will you be sharing the files for the PDU plate that you created? Maybe I missed it if you mentioned it.
Thanks
My man, VPN does not encrypt data it just tunnels it through another network ;)
Great video! Btw fillet is pronounced fill-et, not fill-ay like the steak lol.
Have you got into home automation? Maybe a raspberry pi mount plate with home assistant or a pi hole in the rack or whatever else you can think of
Awesome, I made myself a 4U 10" with 3d printed parts and am using the GS308T too! Would you mind making a video going over the features of this smart switch, or how you set it up?
I was going make a video like that few months ago, also showing how to nic bond. I'll revisit that idea again
Cute
I did find that amusing - a power board called "Power Delivery Unit" and "PDU". Sounds like calling a spade a "manual earth relocation utensil". Is that a normal term in the States? Here they seem to call them "4-gang power board" or "6 gang power strip" depending on layout, "gang" being used to refer to the number of standard sockets.
Don't be afraid to install them vertically too - they sometimes make more sense that way if you have an extended amount of dead space at the back (depending on how many devices you have to power). I have five mounted inside my cabinet and hutch, I just use regular screws to hang them (not as neat as yours but I'm just doing it for slap'n'go functionality).
In the states a 1 gang outlet box has 2 plugs top and bottom so that term isn't as universal
2 minutes of the total 12 of the video is about the sponsor vpn!!!! That's 17% of total time! I think it is a lot. You must consider reducing that percentage...
Yea I literally was thinking the same thing. I need to shorten that up down to maybe 30 or 45 seconds
Do you have the STL for the bracket? Thanks so much!
Hey, super unrelated question, but what GTK theme and distro are you using? It looks good!
Which surge protector did you get?
Put other support spots for that across. Any time you put any weight or stress your going to break those tabs
I think I might need to, at least add more structural beams to the panel
Add a flat spot between the pegs and add some double sided tape or hook and loop velcro as some ideas
That's not bad idea as well
I know this intro sound.. hm
It's pronounced Fill-it.. Not Fill-A.
