There's nothing special there.. beside, the outside of the city is the real place you wanted to discover or see how's the Malay# (native) villages and their natures looks a like.. they're too friendly and kind with a tourist like us ... miss Malaysia again! Langkawi is a duty free island. Anything else is pricey. Alternatively, go visit Kota Kinabalu. They have stunning beaches islands mountain and cheap seafood

There are also good snorkeling places, a lot of beautiful coral, beautiful fish. I love LANGKAWI.My video can also let you know about China.
If you looking for a crystal clear water, and snorkeling spot, of course sipadan and redang are so much better. Langkawi is unique cz it has a lot to offer and a lot to explore....cable car, sky bridge, waterfall, eco forest, lakes, island hopping, night market and many more in one big island Langkawi
Perhentian is more to snorkeling or diving because its a Marine Park. Langkawi have 99 islands with a lot more to explore, like Marine Parks, islands, fishing villages, country side, rivers, caves, paddy field, rubber estates, jungles cable car etc

It was actually not that expensive I rented a scooter for 3 days and stayed at Villa Thai hostel, food was cheaper and activities were fun. I vote for Langkawi as must go place 👍. Go to Pulau Perhentian or Redang or Pulau Sipadan, Langkawi is kind of overrated. I just got back from there. And trust me, I am Malaysian 😇
