    In this video's pinyin text, the sentences start with an upper-case letter. I think this is very helpful for learners, because it looks normal to Western eyes.

    However, proper names (such as "zhōngguó") start with a lower-case letter. This looks very unusual to Western eyes (because we never write "china", we always write "China"). In fact, it can be quite confusing. For example, 法语 "fǎyǔ" could be understood as "legal language". However, "Fǎyǔ" would alert the learner that this is a proper-name.

    In pinyin, I think it's preferable to start proper names with an upper-case letter. But that's just my opinion. 谢谢老师辛苦。

      Thank you for sharing with me your thoughts. In fact, we never use the capital letter in Pin Yin. On internet, some of the pin yin use capital letter. I think it may be to accommodate native English speaker.
