This song written when he ( tommy) accepted christ in his heart.. its about the book of Ezekiel in the bible.. God is love, he is the answer .. Tommy the singer was into a destruction spiral and thats when he said that he saw Billy Graham on TV preaching and came across the bible ..the rest is history..
A huge hit when I was in high school.With America at war any message of peace,love and brotherhood was welcomed.✌

Tommy James was a nice little group back in the day... I googled what the song was about.......... "He was inspired by his reading of the book of Ezekiel where it speaks of the Shekinah Light which represented the presence of the Almighty God and the Books of Isaiah and Revelation where it speaks of a bright future of a brotherhood of mankind living in peace and harmony.
Beautiful song with great lyrics of peace. This is definitely a good song to chill out to. I love the harmonizing as well.

One of my favorite songs ever! They had a soulful pop sound. Back when music didn’t have fifty categories to lock you into. You have to check out, Green Eyed Lady by Sugarloaf. Those guys could play the hell out of their instruments. The drums are on fire, but it, arguably, has one of the greatest Hammond organ solos you’ll ever hear, outside of a Southside Baptist Church.
