And now, in addition to that wonderful teaching voice, your humility in what you know, you add something that gives the "fearful of trying" a way to begin. :)
+Gloria Borrero Glad that you like the videos. If you haven't seen it, on my web site there is a complete listing of the UA-cam videos in categories. It does make it easier to pck and choose which ones you want to watch.
George I really enjoyed your video and the earrings are just stunning! I am trying to learn how to make a sheet metal heart for Valentine's day and ran into your channel and had to subscribe! Amazing channel! Thanks George!
george i am from trinidad..we do a lot of craft in d caribbean...u have learnt so much fro. your videos...thank you so much again..gods blessings to u and yours
Just found your channel. Great videos! Really well put together, and you've got a great talent with the copper work. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience.
I always enjoy your videos. I love cold hammering/working copper and brass as much as hot forging steel. Your videos always keep the creative juices flowing.
George Goehl I have been playing with copper tubing. Reducing and flaring the diameters and filling it with sand and doing some bending without collapsing. Always something new to tackle.
Good Morning George, another great video, and I also loved the video on your Christmas gifts You bring such a refreshing, inspirational quality to your viewers. Thanks for sharing love of metal works with us.
& good morning to you. As always, thanks for commenting. It of kind of fun figuring out how someone with just household tools could do these earrings. As for the Christmas earrings, I was surprised how well they went over. The age range was from 18 to 72. When an 18 year old granddaughter likes what a 76 year did, that's flattering. Stay tuned, got lots of ideas for 2015. George +George Goehl
Great video! Thanks for all thr information! One question, it I want to use bronze instead of copper, it will do? I mean, it.s easy to cut, mold, make texture on it? Thank you!
Awesome George, thanks so much! I'm going to make a few pair for my daughter who is an Illustration student at the Cleveland Institute of Art. She loves copper dearly!
Glad you liked this video. Be sure to check out the texture videos on my web site. I'm sure you will be coming up with some interesting designs. Keep me posted. George
I love the simplicity of these earrings. I'm applying freehand engraving and embossing designs on copper so I will give this a try. (Note: I am a newbie at it). Can you pls give me insight on this: I want to make my own ear wires using pure copper. As an experienced metalsmith and you're probably an artisan as well, what do you think? will it color the earholes? or if I coat it with a clear protective finish, is this product ok to get in contact with the bare skin? thank you so much.
Really cool video...thank you! I was out there pounding my copper with a ball peen and not liking what it looks like. I ve done texturizing before and loved the look. Wonder what I'm doing wrong? I think it's a 16 gauge. I just went and took a look at it and I changed my mind..I like it. Never the less thank u again for your videos. I still have a lot to learn!!
Deborah Bergen Deborah, glad that you like the video. As for learning, I don't think learning ever stops. I'm always fascinated how one idea leads into another and then another. Keep in touch, George
Thanks George...I so agree with you. I love the way you took simple things to make textures. I'm always thinking ..I need to save that because it might work for something.. Fun..I made some earrings today for a raffle for cancer. I used some of your techniques for color. Love them, beautiful blues, greens, red, purple. So happy I found you!!!

Yes, fear of starting is always a problem. But, it's by starting that I find out where I have gone wrong. That always leads to the next step. George
Your are definitely one of the best instructor! I've learned so much from all of you tutorials. Much appreciated.

Thanks George. This gives anyone a chance to get a taste of making metal art or jewelry. Very cool.
Charles Struble As always thanks for the comment. Yes, I am hoping this give someone a chance to experience the pleasure of working with metal.
Thanks, George!! Needed to know what gauge and how it works for a non-jewelry application. TOTALLY took care of that and THEN SOME.
Glad that that worked.
