Part of It is seeing if u can do it part of it is that the whole project is open source. One big reason is that i can record 3ds gameplsy with custom firmware.
So I have 3 loopy cap cards with controller mods from inside gadgets. I use a switch pro controller with a 8bitdo receiver to control my games while I hunt
What I'm thinking now is that I could sell just the tv out board and make it a kit kind of thing. Rather than selling the entire console. With it hooked up. The improvements would have to be console and board since they would require soldering to the ds motherboard itself
Playing original games on original hardware will always be a better experience because there is no translation. Emulation has so many issues and is dependant on your hardware.
@@professormarill3251Have you tried emulators recently? They're basically perfect at this point, and assuming you're running something more powerful than a raspberry pi 1 you'll be fine.
that dpad does not look fun to use, suspicious lack of footage of you using it i wonder how a game that uses the shoulder buttons would go and if you could just connect a controller to it all emulator style
Yeah that's the current plan if you actually watched the video you would hear me talk about adding a controller and ways to improve the design. You would also hear me say that I'm mostly going to use it for shiny hunting so it's not as big of a deal for me. I'm currently doing some research into taking the ribbon cable output to usb so instead of having the box on the side you could keep it separate with just a usb connector. Next time watch the video before being a jackass
@@professormarill3251 what a loser, i had a question from watching the video, dont reply if getting questions triggers you, i have a ds that can connect to a capture card and other people do it alot better than you. idk why u have a big head over making some bedroom diy crap
Question. Why did ya pick the NDS over the 3ds? My main guess would just be gba?

@@professormarill3251 cool thanks
That is really cool. Cant wait to start watching streams again lol👍

Inside gadgets has controller mods for several systems. I have modded them into a ds lite as well
I actually found an open source solution that works better
@@professormarill3251 thru the arduino?
@@mitchboynunn yeah completely open source and customizable in any way I like with any controller I want
Sick!
This is super cool. Any plans on producing these for a market? Sounds like there’s some improvements you want to make though.

What's the point in modding for video out when emulation exists?

If I remember correctly there is a controller mod for the ds lite.
