Brilliant video again. I watch a lot of zoo video yours, but yours are amongst the best. Thank you. Making want to book a return trip to Rotterdam soon!!
The aviary you showed around the 10 minute mark, is exactly how Frontier can do the aviaries for Planet Zoo for the smaller birds than can work just like the exhibit animals and then give us three different sizes (Small, Medium and Large) and then just let us build our own aviaries with the bigger birds. I personally think the camel pen is a little to big (Although... they did house the Onager with them in the past). So i wouldn't mind if they would shift the aviary in the back a little bit into the camel habitat. Such a shame and a surprise we still haven't gotten the Blackbuck in PZ yet. Ah yes... the Nuclear Panda. I am so glad they repurposed that habitat into a Red Panda/Tufted Deer habitat, since it was such an eyesore when it was abandoned after they got rid of the Takin. No Lady, Blijdorp only has the Black and Indian Rhino (With the Indian Rhino being the Original Rhino species in the zoo)
I'm really curious what's going to happen with the aviary and camel habitat, I've seen so many different plans for the elephant expansion, some keep the aviary, some don't. Looking forward to seeing what'll happen
Sadly it's been closed due to the birdflu. You can look into it from a few points, like the one at 4:20. We'll see a bit more of it in the next episode, but yeah you can't go inside it at the moment (and probably never again). Real bummer.
If you want to see more of the red pandas, check out this video :)

Thanks! That's awesome to hear :)
I love that episode my favourites enclosures were red panda/tufted deer and the blackbuck banteng mixed.
What is a Red Panda 🤪
@@DeLadysigner its a cute animal.

Haha yes, I was just confused for a second about the amount of Rhinos they have because of the Rhino sign with all species 😅
@@DeLadysigner Yeah, but thats for education.
I've also seen only once the pallas's cat of my local zoo. So hard to find them!
They really are! I saw them one more time at the zoo of Lille, I think it's mostly because they have much less hiding spaces there.
Grumpy Cat ❤
For some reason i have a connection with the Pallas Cat at Blijdorp. Every time i am at its enclosure, it comes out of hiding to the window.
Did you see the bird of paradise? Went there a few weeks ago but couldn't find it anywhere

Woops I read over the word "of" and thought you meant the big aviary.
I don't think I've seen the bird of paradise either! Not sure.
@@justGoron That's a shame. I haven't seen them ever in my life. Have you?
