Yep - for example, Brazil's passing was far higher quality and consistent than the US team's. Not to say that the US team can't do it - they had some quality passes, but not consistently and not for a purpose. Brazil's on-ball skills were on average better than the US's. If the US team wants to win another world cup, they must up their individual and team skills to the level of teams like Spain and even Brazil.

Brazil couldn’t even manage a shot on goal

*I actually like horan, Albert, and Coffey in mid. Rose works better with sonnett and Moultrie. Fox, girma, Davidson, and Jenn in defense 👏👏👏. Shaw up top and Morgan working her way up. Trinity, as talented as she is, wasn’t at her best and you can see it with Sophia as well but overcame a lot in the Canada game. Twila giving Shaw a good amount of minutes is a smart move cause if y’all remember what happened to Swanson, she was playing a lot and got injured. I wouldn’t that to happen to Shaw.*

1- The right combination of players to face each different opponent.
That means coaching staff should be smart to read opponent’s capabilities and prepare accordingly.
2-I like some base veterans among the youngsters lineups.
3- Keep the youngsters growing up fast to catch up with the fast pace of international advances in their skills.
4-More personal Skills to be training for our youngsters. Fundamental skills that is, how to: dribbling, shooting long distance, PK shooting, passing, strategic game plans, all the nuances in soccer at HIGHEST LEVEL .
    Go team USA!!!🌹💖⚽️👍🇺🇸🤩

#1 Again this innuendo about "how much credit should go to Emma Hayes". I say zero. It is 100% Twila Kilgore's accomplishment - hers and that of her staff. An interim head coach is still a head coach. She evaluates the players with every training and match, she names the roster, she directs what hapens during the games. To hear you people talk, she would be like some nervy understudy with Emma Hayes always correcting her in the earpiece. This is so rude. Assuming Emma doesn't have her hands full over in Europe, managing Chelsea and their plethora of stars through 3 + 1 competitions, she would still be at the start of her learning curve with the USWNT.
#2 Team USA is uneven in terms of skill and confidence on the ball, but their athletic level is still top, and this new group (wherein I include the veterans) is gaining rapidly in terms of mentality, tactics and tournament experience. I would not count them out for a medal in the Olympic Games, however just reaching the semifinals would be huge for them: the competition is stiff.
#3 Many doubters, many haters, not as many dedicated fans as in the past. I love the team for who they are now, not for some nostalgia of the 2015 USWNT heyday when they entered the field to kick butt and take names. They play awesome football and manage to edge out opponents even being half a mess. Success will come in time.
