- In this video I go through some of the most useful tips for surviving in the intense RLCraft dimension that is the Lost Cities. After watching this guide, you should no longer feel as though the Lost Cities is beyond you. Any player, skilled or not, can loot the dimension safely, and defeat all foes who reside within utilizing the tips in this video.

That is a great tip tbh, I've had to warp back and slap around some mobs in MBTs from time to time so my armor wouldn't break

@@blackpearl7596 basically yeah, tho it aint super effective considering you need to kill only a few parasites to regain full silver armor hp... + potion sickness makes going in with a subject pe5 weapon all the more useful since getting potion sickness can literally kill you (some effects r super bd, others negligeable)

A GREAT TIP for anyone who hasnt done combat in lost cities is when you are fighting enemies and they keep swarming you, press e to look at your armor's durability and if its 35% or lower just leave and use xp bottles to repair because they will take it out in 1 hit and once 1 armor piece is gone ALL your armor is GONE
Bad tip, while fighting, pressing e for even just a second cancause your armor to get shredded lol, what is a good tip tho is going to the quark (sb confirm pls) config files (for clients, aka the player not the server) and enabling the overlay that shows armor durability changes on the bottom right of the screen, that helps a LOT, durability isn't really an issue generally speaking, you just don't play stupid and always keep an eye out for lower rank parasites to mend back up to full,
While some parasites can 2-3 shot your armor (ender dragon doesn't 1shot it either, if u stay next 2 it tho, begone armor lol) your silver armor can easily break against most adapted, ancient parasites as well as parasites with a boss-bar, so unless you're out to fight, there's no reason to bother with those when u sneak + loot and run, which i confirm to be the best way of lost cities for looting (cheesing LS IS possible however BUT one needs to know what they're doing since flight+invis/fairy transformation are both good but VERY high risk - reward strats) gl hf

Alternatively, you can just drink potion of Wings, Invisibility, Luck and some Immunizer, take a warp scroll, pickaxe, some ender chests and more wine vine with you and get all the race rings without a need to find a single parasite!
Used to be hoe i played rlc, until i noticed that with a non-maxed dragonbone longbow, a maxed dragonbone nunchaku (ice pls) and max silver armor, one can both loot and run AND fight and run for the sentient gear farming easily... The potion of invis helpd a bunch imo (since usually asas you un-crouch, endermen or grunts will notice you (grunts are like spiders but break blocks, quite annoying wince they come from above and below) but it won't do miracles or compensate for never crouching (so get the crouch toggle mod and thank me later lol)
Dors immunizer work against fear ? If so, will it work for a few seconds or only instantly ? If not perma, it may only b good to get the effects of stuff lile viral away for a bit .. ?
@@arn0000 No, Immunizer does nothing against fear from parasites. I use Immunizer to stop Nausea and Blindness that you get from Inebriated which you get from wine.
Also you get Fear only when parasites target you. So if you randomly got Fear, fly away as fast as you can!
@@ilizun As far as I know immunization doesn't protect against blindness and slowness from inebriation, only nausea
@@kristiankohout6022 Last time I tested(in RLcraft v2.9.1c) it worked on Blindness, even though it doesn't mention it in the tooltip. But yes, it doesn't work on Slowness, but it doesn't matter as long as you are using creative fligt from potion of wings.

i've found that using titan ring and ring of flight, then sneaking while attacking, you can literally fight in the open. The key is to fly and press crouch + space at the same time to make yourself crouching while flying so it will trigger the 2.5x sneak attack damage. Then lower yourself close to the ground to the point you can attack monsters using your pike but they cant attack you( the small one). You just need A LOT of wine to keep that flight going. Then use dragons eye ability to detect chest inside building. You can just loot chests from outside while flying. Dont forget to bring fucktons of XP bottle
By simply fighting in silver and keeping an eye out for durability, u wont need to bring exp bottles at all, and the very rare times mobs do get ur dura to like less than 50, just warp out or kill small parasites and you'll mend FAST, as for your tip, flight ring isnt a thing (do u mean the super rare ring that allows for levitation, or dragon ring, or fairy ring, or simply flight potion?) Sounds like a neat trick to kill them annoying endermen lul, but tbh, fighting in the open isn't rlly required for end-game much... Surey for getting longarm fragments/blood tears it's most helpful but the orher parasitic parts you'll get from time to time anyhow...

fiery edge good is but ash destroyer is better coz shiv changed it so you can put viper and ash destroyer together.(Totally dps +6k parasites don't have enough time to adapt to such a high damage)

Yknow the first and last time I ever did rlcraft in lost cities was 1 year ago with my friends and we were completely unprepared and got deleted, we had no spawn set incase if we die, we had dragon armour, didnt go well, we had no potions of flight or luck nor did we bother about stealth.
1 year later me and my friends have grown larger upon to a 8 -14(at its peak) player server and we're soon about to tackle the lost cities ,yeah we may aswell tell them about our experience of trying to escape back to the overworld with barely any food, no stealth, but now we have to strive to learn now.
(Idk if you wil respond but will putting waystones make us respawn at the waystone in the lost cities?)

A REALLY helpful tip here: Lost cities use Scape and run parasites mod. These are highly vulnerable to fire damage as well. Parasites range 4x more damage from fire. So use fire related stuff whenever entering lost cities🔥

Man you're the reason I have any direction in RLCraft! Could I ask what enchantments did you put on your Ice Dragon Bone Battleaxe and Neptunium Pickaxe? And is there a method you use to get all that Whale meat?

Pinky meat is easier to get end-game since the End dimension is filled with them, but if you Really want whale steak, then create a fish reservoir with only whales (check Better Fishing wiki)
Super usefull video like always! some questions tho, how do you get your hearths on your hearth bar to show up like that? I should have like 5 rows of hearths but there is only one row on my hearth bar. Also, you have adept on your weapon but i remember you saying that education is better in you top 30 enchantments video, did i miss something? And i have been told that i shouldn't put supreme flame on iced weapons cause they cancel each other out or something but you did put it on a iced rapier in your best melee weapon video did something chance in an update?
Oh, yeah education and adept got changed a bit in 2.9.2 for some reason. idk why Shivaxi did that. Basically education does what adept used to do, and adept does what education used to do. Also, supreme fire aspect does a single tick of fire damage on an iced weapon which is something but not much. Also, I am unsure why your hearts are not on your bar like mine. My game is completely default rlcraft from curseforge. Perhaps you have a shaderpack, texturepack, or updated certain mods manually. I am unsure though. I hope you figure out what's up!

Thank god sup. fire aspect and iced weapons don't cancel each other out cause i was already starting to get scared that i would have to make another ultimate melee weapon. I will reinstall the rlcraft and hopefully that fixes the hearths thing. Your videos are super usefull and are the reason that i finally have a good world after dying only 20 times and are very entertaining to watch as well and i am super happy that you are uploading reguraly again!
Do not go in there with warp scrolls. Go in there with bound scrolls. Also you can go in with golem and neptunion armor as long as you have the antidote vessel dropped by mimics. Truly a hard treasure to find but nullifies the Viral effect that the silver armor is curing.
So neptunion or golem armor with that vessel and you're set. Enjoy. :)
Golem armor with antidote vessel is definitely the way to go now. Use a potion of wings and you will never die in the lost cities
I think adapted parasites can still adapt to damage but they adapt to the damage dealt by the weapon they have been hit, which means you can switch from a diamond sword to a dragon sword (just example) and keep dealing damage.
Still a very very very dangerous place to go, even with maxed out stats in defense i cant just feel safe even if i sneak around.
Lost cities feels like an entire different game by itself
yes even if you think youre unkillable in overworld, try go to lost cities and see what they can offer
If u think ur the king of OW , and dont prepare, you can get shredded within seconds in ls lol, but knowing what u r doing or practicing in creative makes it a much less scary place... The trick is experience, and forgetting the place is scary, but never forgetting to sneaky unless ur flying lol
As soon as I enter the Lost cities' dimension I am dead before the world around me has even spawned. The few times I lasted more then 10sec I got instant killed by nearly everything just for looking at mobs the wrong way. I maxed out almost everything in skills and levelup reloaded, got a decent gear (dragonscales armor and dragonbone weapons) with some good enchantments, good baubles and all but still it feels like I am running around naked. I am not an expert minecraft player so I might am missing out on something. I'd love to explore the area with my son but we don't stand any chances yet. Any good advice you guys could give us?

I anit never gone to the lost cites despite having played rlcraft for almost 2 years now. (Even before the parasite update😐)

quickest way is probably rabbit's foot and hippogryph. but flying mounts arent as insanely useful anymore since they are hard to obtain. you're probably better off getting an erepede land mount first. then if anything i would say avian treats aren't that bad to obtain, since u can just make a silex farm with lapiz lazuli pretty easily. but the hard part is getting the trolls for the leather/tusk, and then finding the feathers for the avian saddle.

I would say subject english tbh if you're going maxed wine, but I usually keep subject PE since it is better in general. If I go with wine nowadays in 2.9.2, I just bring the strongest few potion effects and level up their tiers with wine so subject PE doesn't cause problems.

I wanna just ask a question, how is it even possible to have that many enchants on your nunchakus ,like 20 enchantments, 1 rune and 1 curse, i can barely get maybe 10 on weapons

In short though you have to enchant a certain way to make it cheaper. Putting on 2 enchantments at a time rather than 1 makes it already much easier. Putting on 2, then 4, then 6, then 8 makes it even cheaper still (combining enchantment books). I hope that makes sense. It is explained better in the video though
Oh yeah I know the enchantment method but i guess i was using it wrong,also i didnt think it was posible to have that many enchantments using that method,I will check out the video because I will need it since im now mid game through my playthru

Mining dragon dens underground with a fortune 3 pickaxe is one of the best ways to get a lot of them. Finding port cities and mining the emerald throne in the castle also is a good way. Fighting vindicators in 4 tower dungeons (especially with advanced looting III on your weapon) gives you a lot of emeralds. Also, certain rare structures such as the palace of aerivith and sacturary of admys have a lot of emerald blocks to mine. The palace of aerevith in particular has hundreds of gold blocks as well which can be traded to the wine shirted villagers for emeralds (usually 8 gold to 1 emerald). Trading books to librarians is also not a bad way to get emeralds, but it isn't as good as the previous methods. I hope this helps a bit!
I haven't used dragon ring before, or any of the rings. But how are you able to fly at times like 4:41 and have dragon wings when the ring isn't in your baubles slot nor your inventory, and you don't have the dragon transformation effect shown?
Ah my bad, I should have put on screen that I consumed a dragon gem. You craft this consumable with the ring of the dragons as the core crafting ingredient. I like the dragon gem because it stays on your character even if you die, but you can't go back to being a normal "human" unless you drink a restoration serum that you have to craft. Being a dragon all the time I think is pretty chill though, and you get all the ring effects without taking up a bauble slot. You lose your ring in the process during the crafting though, so do keep that in mind.

A small idea i had a while back on reddit. So if the ancient crafting runes generate their recipes based on the seed, couldn't you make an algorithm that duplicates the pseudo-rng based on a given seed to obtain all recipes? Yes, i guess it's cheating but it sounds cool man
Possibilities are endless with that stuff I would say. You can do literally just about anything by manipulating game files.
Lostcities are easy if you have Battle burritos reach max nun chacks and wing potions

Why dont you use an ankh charm? Is it not good anymore?
It is amazing still, but I use the ankh shield as I can hold it in my off hand freeing up a bauble slot.

'its great that enemies don't adapt to attacks anymore'... Wut ? Change that wording or pin a comment like RIGHT NOW LOL, ofc parasites still adapt, all the same parasites that did in 291c still adapt in 292d, and most new parasites (bosses/adapted mobs) do so too... But with scape and run's update, they adapt to a weapon type (eg dragonbone bow, dragonbone nunchaku etc (idk if ice/fire versions count as separate), this mostly means u want/need a bow and then you're good, provided your melee deals enough damage...kinda surprised you didn't find this out via testing tho) A max dragonbone nunchaku (btw choosing fire is a bad option since ash destroyer proccs regardless of the 'fire not being visible on parasites' BUT has an additional free ice-slowdown/fall-down effect, helping a bunch against flying enemies and fast enemies for safer combat..., Will do LESS dps if you don't buff with potions, since u cannot reliably 1shot (aka kill before parasites adapt to the damage) most of the boss-mobs which drop the tear (most notably the parasites looking like the ancient overlord/haunter.... ( Silver armor as a recommendation is decent, but i woulda expected you to either list the durability damage that some mobs do/point out high-risk mobs,
Or at least say which mobs to avoid due to their EXTREME durability damage both with silver or with golem (%based parasite attacks, eg yelloweye projectile, or high base dmg attack/projectiles (all 3 bosses for blood tears))...
or recommend a full setup (at least baubles, weapons (shield) + armor...) L
Natural blocking 2 reduces incoming damage by 30% (durability damage too, except raw % based attacks (yelloweye projectile) helping a TON and making any 'nunchaku-only' withour a shield kinda silly... Keep in mind u dont have to even use it BUT also keep in mind NB and similar ONLY work on spartan shields (diamond plated) due to a bug, so ankh charm/shield isn't rlly of much use unless you buff up with wine/potions since inebriated can NOT be cured by silver anymore... TO NOTE THOUGH that u won't need wine/potions (except the emergency flight potion) in the lost cities, just stick to max silver, max nunchaku (subject pe5 wince you won't buff and it helps a TON) and sneak almost all the time (download the sneak toggle mod guys) also keep in mind, since mobs adapt to weapons now, a dragonbone nunchaku won't kill an ancient overlord due to it's many hits but low damage (may make some random adapted mobs filly adapter, is rare tho) so always do keep a boe as a backup weapon (in silver not having one is stupid) ... What else is there to say.... If you fight amalgalich, mobs can spawn in the arena (YES bosses as well), so you can either kill them or let amalga 1ahot them wuth his suck ability, just note thesll destroy the arena and some loot may drop below (so dont fight above an ocean),
If you seem to get attacked but there id no mob, spray and pray with nunchaku, there's either an invisible manducator (dog like mob) or some parasite shooting projectiles.
If you want the highest melee dps, max a sentient greatcleaver (will kill all parasites in a few hits, swifter slashes MANDATORY) tho, and dual wield it with a nunchaku for quality of life against small mobs u dont wanna have to manually hit 5 times each... Try and go in with resistance 3 all the time, and you'll be okay as well... Lost cities is scary, but nothing works better than using a few minutes or 2 hours or so to prepare in a creative mode, you'll thank me and yourself for doing so and testing stuff out... I think that's about the most important tips i got... Bound tools are cool, but just don't die and you're good (broken heart, never once procced for me but can b a life-saver) drop any questions below and i'll answer them if i can... Lost cities has always been the worst hell of unprepared people, but this version too is quite okay, just take some time to scroll through reddit posts (cuz other people even test and say what works well) or check youtube channels like this one and somenutzguy WHILE looking at comments to see whether a major mistake/problem wasn't highlighted ... Keep in mind that skill is great but wisdom is a really good weapon in lost cities ^^
Good tips for sure! I did do plenty of testing, and Shivaxi mentioned in his 2.9.2 patch notes that he manually changed lost cities enemies to no longer adapt to damage sources for RLCraft. He had to change it manually though. Scape and run parasites has nothing to do with it though.If enemies somehow adapt for you still, then Shivaxi missed something but from my dmg testing they do not adapt (besides the ancient overlord being weird which I'll elaborate on). I have noticed with damage testing that the ancient overlords are an exception to something, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I believe they have a massive built-in defense against melee weapons or something, as my attacks never did much damage to them with my melee weapons, so I use a bow against them which shred them faster than they shred the dreadnaughts. Perhaps the creator of scape and run parasites intended that interaction. I am unsure. I did not know that NB didn't work with the ankh shield because of a bug though. I will mention that to the other beta testers. We miss things like that some time. Thank you for the details though! You are a very smart player. One tip I can provide though, is I use the fire nunchucks so fiery edge does more damage. As long as enemies are on fire, fiery edge ignores mob immortality frames, similarly to swifter slashes. Together they attack so fast the enemy healthbars sometimes don't even give hit registry but they still take the damage. In the section where I talk about the ancient dreadnaughts, you can see it happen vs one. Have a great day gamer! Good luck on your adventures!
In 2.9.2 are summons and pets still a viable option? Or should I just focus in my character?
They are not bad in the overworld, but getting knowledge rank 2 to actually summon the beasts takes a while and they no longer scale with your weapon's passives, so they don't hit too hard sadly.
