Found a Gretsch streamliner demo for $349, that may be it right there for me. I bought a gold top Gretsch electromatic Jet with a Bigsby trem back in 2015 and love it, their quality control is superb. Ha, so I don’t get in the dog house, I’ll have to space and use Christmas as an excuse to buy a Sire S3 and which ever SH o can squeeze ha. Thanks again for your content I find it very informative and helps me navigate through the plethora of options out there.
I've had an EART E-335 for the last year... had it set up by a reputable luthier and couldn't be happier. This is the best bang for the buck on the guitar market today.
Good review! I intend on buying one of these and it is good to see an honest review by someone who obviously knows their instruments. I just bought a Donner DJP-1000 335 style guitar and i wasn't expecting the good quality and overall sound as well as a neck that is a flatter c-shape which is perfect for my stubby fingers. If possible i hope you review one of these Donner es-335's down the road. I had a collection of over 470 guitars a few years ago and about a third were high end expensive guitars. I had to sell most due to medical bills and now only have about 20 mostly inexpensive models. I am having more fun with them though and am not afraid to take them out and just start playing any time i feel like it. I am going to get an Eart like this when i am able but for now it is great to watch your always informative and fun reviews. Thank you!
Bought one last Christmas and it’s INCREDIBLE…better than my Eastman and I play it more than my other 12 guitars…all it neeed was good strings put on it…and it’s light and resonant as hell…and SCREAMS when you want it to…a rock n roll monster
I really like the matte finish on this. And combined with the natural wood it looks extra great. I really wish my squier tele had this wood and finish look to it. Or maybe even my strat. Thanks for another great review.
190 euro is ridiculously cheap ! The 335 sounds great for that price even given it's minor flaws. My S/H Samick Artist Series is all the 335 I need though and only cost £90 🙂. Been a faithful friend for several years.
Eart is after the European market hence the price being under $200, in Canada its three times the price. What are you doing Eart? Thanks for sharing Elmo!
Mine came with pickups that said BB 1, BB 2 just like a Gibson, but they were changed out with PRS Starla bridge and Seymour Duncan in the neck. 160usd with a hard case. So on the used market Great deal. Thanks
This E-330 is not the same one we see in the Eart website or on Amazon. There were a few available last year in the EU warehouse at cheap, but not as cheap as Elmo's. The currently available E-335 has compound radius, not 14", has stainless steel frets rather than nickel silver, and fit and finish were much improved over this earlier iteration. No complaints about the frets or setup on mine, I tweaked it just a bit. No noise or noticable microphony. My theory is that they either got these and decided to upgrade, or that this might have been a run made to an erroneous spec by their Chinese factory.
Why I like the Latitude 335 better, and some background. About a year ago I purchased a similar 335 copy from Amazon, from manufacturer "Latitude", which is a company started by the man who used to run Eart, Tom. I bought the sunburst version. I feel the pickups are a little better than on the Eart, though admittedly I did change mine out for Iron Gear Blues Engines, the Latitude has a bone nut, stainless steel frets, and IMO a cooler looking (trident) headstock, and a nicer gloss finish, it cost me $330 plus tax, but it plays great and IMO was/is a much better modding platform. The tuners on the Latitude were of Grover quality though no-name, I changed those out for Gotoh locking tuners, though that was just personal preference, the stock tuners were actually really good, with a high ratio, I believe at least 18:1.
Firefly is supposed to sell some guitars of this style too. They are at a good price, people like the quality but only available in intermittent quantities. They must manufacture them in batch processes. I guess it's like a lot of stuff these days. Manufactured items do not seem to be available in the quantities that they were just several years ago. It's OK - Most is junk I don't need.
The wiring/noise issue is interesting. I have a Telecaster that came back from a tech that way when I had new pickups installed. Practically not there at all when I’m clean, immediately buzzy when you add Drive or distortion. And no, Brainy Smurfs, it’s not 60-cycle hum. I know the difference.
I’m quite impressed with the looks, price and sound (minus the fret issues) of this guitar. Tempting. Especially since I can’t quite swing a B.B. King “Live At The Regal” 335 (😳). Thanks for bringing it to my attention.👍 Also cool that you know some Danny Gatton!
Ok, I’ve fallen in love with a different inexpensive 335-style guitar. Yes, it’s true. I’m fickle. I’m going to keep a patient eye out for the Donner DJP-1000 and wait for a sweet deal. I mean, come on, that “Sunset Tiger” sunburst finish is a thing of beauty and the headstock isn’t weird looking, at least to me. It just looks right, and the reviews are quite good. It’s a little more expensive than the Eart, but I think it will be worth it.
I have a slight Eastman 335 with a slight issue with a tuner. They sent me a new one form a rep in the States. Boom all fixed. I knew Eart is cheap. But, I'd recommend looking at Eastman for a custom built guitar at a modest pricing. They make things in each's at there small shop in HK.
Looks really good Elmo! Sounds good too. I have a gretsch semi hollow that was three times the cost of that guitar and honestly I don't think it sounds as good as that one. How was the neck on the Eart? The neck on my Gretsch is so thick it hurts my fretting hand after about 15 minutes of playing so I'm considering trading it or selling it and I'm looking for a semi hollow with a slimmer neck.
Is marshall origin 20 combo and 50 combo bad? I just saw your vid description from avoid amps (its origin 5c). Maybe you can review the 20 and 50 combo mr. Elmo Cant wait for the sire guitar review!
Hello, Can you please do a review of Vox Nutube amps? For example the the MV50 AC or MV50 Boutique? They seem great specially for the price, at least on paper. But how do they sound when actually using?
Hello sir, Roland microcube gx model is discontinued in India...but few pieces are available in a music shop.. should I buy it?..will there be any problem in buying a discontinued model??.plz help..love from India
I've looked at Eart in the past, but always assumed I'd have to pay import duties on top of the list price for a guitar coming from China. Is that not the case? Do they maybe ship from a warehouse in the EU?
I’m confused (what’s new?) about this model. I’ve had my eye on this Eart for a couple years, but I’ve never seen it referred to as “330” (only “335”) and I’ve never seen it for $199.00 or Euros. It’s always been around $399.00. I’ve never seen it on their website, either. Is this maybe an Amazon exclusive or something?
Hi Elmo, I´m a big fan of Your playing, which is extraordinary good. I also like your gear tests. This guitar is quite nice and unbelievebelly cheap. One question I might ask You. I have a plexi JTM 45 head and a Marshall 1936 212 cabinet with Celestion GT 12-75 speakers (closed back). What kind of cabinet would You suggest that fits best with the JTM 45 top? Thanks a lot in advance, Yours Sincerely Peter from Germany. P.S. I like Finland a lot, People from Finland are great, they like to have fun and they have great Vodka too, absolutely (🙂
(This is just a test. I put up a comment earlier, and I think, if you mention a certain website where people now buy EVERYTHING, UA-cam will delete your comment.)

I have this and got one with a crack....and Eart sent me a SECOND tele TT72. Best guitar deal I will ever get.

My pleasure!
It’s $399 here in the US. Thanks for the review. I am in the market for a semi-hollow and I’m definitely considering this guitar.

No problem 👍

That’s not expensive lol. Epiphones are 899 in Canada

I think my grandmother used to have a rosewood handleboard in her front room.
:D
this looks and sound real neat !

I have an Eastman and this one…EART is better imo
Ah yes , a rosewood handle-board! I swear by one of those ;)
Nice one Elmo :D
😁
Not my cup of tea but the wood and how they finished it does look good.

@@MrPolevaulter hope you have a chance to try both
I’ve got one. Really good guitar. I had a goodset up and plays great. Amazing value. 🙋♂️🇬🇧
Yep.
Awesome review as always 👍

I have the Brian May version waiting for a review.
It would make an excellent Jazz guitar
Yep.

Shouldn't be any problems.
@@MrPolevaulter thanks a lot..
Terve Elmo. Is it just me how don't find a link to where to buy that beauty?
Best regards Conny
Hi Conny,
I didn't put a link. It was sold out for the time being :(
I am between this or the Harley Benton HB-35 plus, which one do you recommend?
HB, but only just.
I've looked at Eart in the past, but always assumed I'd have to pay import duties on top of the list price for a guitar coming from China. Is that not the case? Do they maybe ship from a warehouse in the EU?
They have an EU warehouse. At least I've never had to pay import duties.

I haven't tried the JTM, so can't really say. Probably just trial and error to find the right one. That being said, most Marshall cabs should be fine.
Sounds good to me 😎👍💯🎸🎸. I think your right. Grounding issue. Like the Gary Moore stuff. Take care Bro 👍👌💯
Thanks 👍
Wondering that price must have been a special or something because it's been $399 all day in north America
Different model. They have the $399 version in Europe as well. Might be that they've discontinued this version. Not sure.
Where did you get the guitar for $190?
Their site. They've since discontinued it I think.
(This is just a test. I put up a comment earlier, and I think, if you mention a certain website where people now buy EVERYTHING, UA-cam will delete your comment.)
do blackstar Debut 50R reviews
Been thinking about it.
@@MrPolevaulter :)
Quite the bargain there.
I probably wouldn't buy it... not a ES style player, but if I could pick one up on the "cheap'...
are you sure it is 190 dollars or 390 $ ?? I cannot find this price
You got a great deal then, more than double that now. $400. Looks and sounds great.
I think it's a different model.
How did u decide to keep the HB n sell the EART?
I liked the HB a bit more.
Nice guitar, can I have it?
190 $ ? you sure ? on their website is 399 $ ...
Different model. Not sure if this one's been discontinued.
wow you look weird with a 335 in ur hands lol
Haha :D
The stereotype faux Asian accent was not cool.
So..hurt you fee fees or something.? Gtfo with the utter PC nonsense.
you TRYING to get yourself canceled!? 😄😄
Stainless steel frets
Was $400 for mine
I think it's a different model. They had two versions when I bought this.
Stole a few of your licks…lol…nicely dome dude
