What I don’t get is all the characters seem like they did a 180 so quickly with no character development to support the change in behavior. Taryn was presented in book 1 and 2 as the one who tried to fit in was complacent was put in her place easily knew her role, but at the end of this series Taryn is the one that kills someone out of feeling neglected while Jude killed someone in self defense. Like I thought elf marriages were easier to dissolve they could have co parented. Why would she kill him out of fear of what Madoc did to her mom. Her mom literally killed someone to fake her own death and burned a mansion and ran off with his unborn child to have babies with someone else. Like not the same. I thought Jude was suppose to be the crazy rash one. Jude was the one presented to be like her father in the first two books as a killer, but then at the end she is the reasonable rationale one and everyone is forgiven no punishment what so ever killed no one. No punishment for Ghost, the princess of the sea, Cardans mom for hiding the letters, her father for stabbing her, Taryn for betraying her. Like there was no justice. Also what ruined this for me was I was so sold about this different relationship dynamic because fairies express love differently it more trickster cruel back stabbing but the last book she makes it like any other YA human romance at the end. Like I enjoyed the whole hate that I love you vibe. That is what made this series unique. I feel like the last book she wanted to make everyone “happy” with a typical happy ending. But I just think every steamy C + J moment had in the first two books was way better than the sex scene in the last book. Like how do you have sex with someone when the night bfr you wondering where he has been sleeping since you been sleeping in his bed chamber alone. Basically insinuating he could be sleeping around and then just forgets about it and sleeps with him. So Frustrating. Sorry if I’m all over the place. I can’t rant coherently.

Do you think the curse was added to have a conflict since they rushed the release of the book?

It's definitely possible because it did seem like it was thrown in. It also seems to be an easier alternative than going through the nitty gritty of Jude's relationship with Madoc :/ Just my thoughts though.
