It’s great to watch an accomplished rider like yourself try out the DH tracks trails to put into perspective for us mere mortals. Way above my pay grade.
@tomcardy your first trial run when you were stopping and taking a look at the features was eye opening at how massive and technical the features are. You made it look easy on the second run. Do you wear body protection?
Wow that was an incredible perspective shift for me. I now have new respect for all World Cup DH racers, men, women, and juniors! Thanks Tom great content!
Fair plays Tom, even the GoPro effect couldn't tame just how steep and gnarly that track looks! You're a very accomplished rider and chuck yourself down some pretty steep and gnarly hills!
This is one of the best videos I've ever seen in terms of really understanding the challenge of these tracks given the difficulty of cameras showing true steepness. As an XC mountain biker I've only ever attempted the Ae Forest DH near Dumfries, and given that I could barely do that, this course is just insane. It would be great to see you do more courses if you ever have the chance.
this is actually so cool, knowing Tom is such a skilled rider in slopestyle and can hit just about any dirt jump on earth to see him ride this World Cup track really show how gnarly it is for those guys to be pinning it, would love to see you ride more world cup tracks Tom this is a great video
That had to be the most gnarly trails I have seen you hit Tom. 1 foot down, hell I would want a roll cage, parachute and a mattress riding that. That was awesome.
awesome ride along! I laughed when you called yourself out for taking 'the chicken line' - as if that's actually chicken! Your ride really puts it into perspective that WC courses are completely MENTAL!
Last year I ended my 2wk downhill trip in Val di Sole for the WC finals. IT was the roughest it's ever been and the roughest trail in the WC too and it is an insane minefield. Even the red trails in that bikepark are beyond what black trails have to offer in most other parks but the black adder is on a level far beyond black or double black diamond in any other bikepark I've ever seen. I was puzzling my way down there and even then still had to walk bits here and there. Insane to watch the pro's still absolutely attack every single section of the trail though. I was so impressed
The fact you are able to go down stuff like that with 1 or 2 slip ups is incredible. I wish i could do stuff like that but sadly i cant because of my dislocated hip. That was an insane video tom keep shredding
I did not get to see this till after I met you at the show. otherwise I would have congratulated you on vlogging a downhill run, truly one of your best videos
Awesome Tom. This track on an ebike, insane. You clearly see a pro here, 2nd run was already very good. What if you had a downhill bike and 3-4 more runs?
I'm looking to head over here and only on my 120 29er hardtail. I loved riding the red tech at BPW so if you're struggling I'll stick to the non pro lines!
And this is considered one of the easier bike parky tracks. Don't look that easy to me. Can't imagine what other tracks must be like in real life. Madness!
Just come down the champéry World Cup track in Switzerland and it was utterly mental, steepest track I’ve ever ridden down. Would love to try leogang too
that was great - you made the motorway look easy! Im not sue I would've had the balls to do a couple of those gaps you did.... also I'm sure the woods section is still way steeper than it looks on camera. nice work!
Well done Tom mate … everyone knows how good a slopestyle Ryder you are and this just puts in to perspective how good the likes of pierron and bk really are !! Sick stuff bro.
Seeing this after watching the race. Those guys are crazy! But you still rip down the track 💪🏻 At 12:21 was that the Mountain Biker's nitro boost kicking in? 😅
12:20 that fart hits the exact frequency my laptop speakers seem to know how to sing best. You got them singing it perfectly despite the background noise
Videos never show the real terrain. That was a awesome video dude are you on your way to Val di sole can’t wait the guys from the canyon camp look good . Cheers Australia
As expected you looked very comfortable in the speed/jump sections but the techy stuff is craycray. To me the most mind-blowing thing is, how do they brake in those vertical bits, they way they manage to get grip is phenomenal.
You capture how steep it is pretty good, I'm sure it's still seems steeper in person as the camera never does it justice, but your shots show the steepness better than most.
Wow crazy, big ups Tom 👏👏👍. More data for perspective. Andreas Kolb (the winner) did the run in just under 3 minutes. Tom’s time was around 5 and a half minute. This is not a fair comparison; it was not exactly the same track and Tom did not make as many practices runs as the competing downhillers… I would have died trying this - as a comparison 😅.
Hi Tom. i am hoping you can help answer my question I have the AllMtn 10 which has the interface x display that only shows mode and battery life. It looks like the display on your bike is a different style which also shows the odometer, on your earlier videos your bike had the interface x. Which display did you change it too and was it easy enough to do?
No excuses - a legitimate issue... some riders (or groups) just stop right on the track, limiting line choices or forcing a speed reduction in anticipation of what they might do next, or just stop at the end of trail, and leaving other incoming riders no run-out space or escape route at the end, except into a fence or such... trail etiquette or common sense is sometimes lacking - people seem to not think about any others on the trail or those coming along behind...
It’s great to watch an accomplished rider like yourself try out the DH tracks trails to put into perspective for us mere mortals. Way above my pay grade.
Thanks dude! It was scary!
@tomcardy your first trial run when you were stopping and taking a look at the features was eye opening at how massive and technical the features are. You made it look easy on the second run.

Bit of pressure release at 12:18 :D

Yeah, fair play. That was an awesome video.
Thanks dude!
Very intense
Super intense!

That looked pretty insane......well done...cheers 🇨🇦
Thanks 👍
That had to be the most gnarly trails I have seen you hit Tom. 1 foot down, hell I would want a roll cage, parachute and a mattress riding that. That was awesome.
Tbh the best Vlog I have seen you do, great perspective on just how hard the DH is as the pros make it look so effortless.
awesome ride along! I laughed when you called yourself out for taking 'the chicken line' - as if that's actually chicken! Your ride really puts it into perspective that WC courses are completely MENTAL!

Really down to earth perspective on a gnarly track!! To chap 👍👍
Nice work Tom- good speed on many sections too.
Great idea for a video,
Nice speed and riding for an enduro bike.
Tom. Great to see you enjoying the track:)
What a setting! Hi to Kara too.
From Craig.
"Why?" at @5:18. Very valid question. Thanks for showing how insane these courses truly are.
The fact you are able to go down stuff like that with 1 or 2 slip ups is incredible. I wish i could do stuff like that but sadly i cant because of my dislocated hip. That was an insane video tom keep shredding
wild great tour Big thanks for that looking forward to race ,,hopefully redbull cover it
Brilliant video proper good to see a DH track from that point of view shows how nuts those racers are
Fair play Tom you did far better than many mortals, I won't be attempting to ride that any time soon
Omg Tom that’s absolutely insane. Sat on the train to work watching with sweaty palms! 😬
I did not get to see this till after I met you at the show. otherwise I would have congratulated you on vlogging a downhill run, truly one of your best videos
Best video you’ve ever posted Tom. I loved it!
Awesome Tom. This track on an ebike, insane. You clearly see a pro here, 2nd run was already very good. What if you had a downhill bike and 3-4 more runs?
That tree section looked hard for the pros but I couldn't see just how insane it was until now. Great job.
Wow Tom hats off to you brave man!!
Looks insane.Hats off to ya Tom.👍🤙👌
Scary track!
Lmao fort bill would be a eye opener!! Good effort though dude ❤
I’ll go and try it for sure!
Madness!
The other would be fun to try!
@@TomCardy Snowshoe is the rain looks absolutely mental.
The gap to wallride I saw Jackson Goldstone do is one of the gnarlier things ive ever seen
It’s so big haha!
Bernard Kerr has been doing it for years.
Just come down the champéry World Cup track in Switzerland and it was utterly mental, steepest track I’ve ever ridden down. Would love to try leogang too
Crazy course well done fella that doesn’t look easy 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
that was great - you made the motorway look easy! Im not sue I would've had the balls to do a couple of those gaps you did.... also I'm sure the woods section is still way steeper than it looks on camera. nice work!

This is the best perspective of a WC track I've ever seen! Keyboard warriors saying this track is "too easy" always makes me laugh...
I just don't think cameras can ever do these tracks justice. Fun to see you doing DH stuff.
That’s sooo out of my league. Thanx for that realy cool perspective!
Get in there, Cards! Well done. Yew! 🤙
Seeing this after watching the race.
Those guys are crazy! But you still rip down the track 💪🏻
At 12:21 was that the Mountain Biker's nitro boost kicking in? 😅
I thought I was the only one who heard that 😂
Lol how steep that root section is. And they flew over some of it. Wow
12:20 that fart hits the exact frequency my laptop speakers seem to know how to sing best. You got them singing it perfectly despite the background noise
Well done,Tom! It was great to watch your pov given that you're not a downhiller.
Videos never show the real terrain. That was a awesome video dude are you on your way to Val di sole can’t wait the guys from the canyon camp look good . Cheers Australia
This is such a great video. Love this walk through!
Tom, absolutely awesome ride, this is one of your best videos ✌️❤️
As expected you looked very comfortable in the speed/jump sections but the techy stuff is craycray. To me the most mind-blowing thing is, how do they brake in those vertical bits, they way they manage to get grip is phenomenal.
Nice work 🤘
Thanks ✌️

That was freakin superb Tom, you were motoring there, what a perfect track.
Great effort Tom. But when I compare you're time with the winner of the DH race, You are about 2:15 short. 😅 But great job 👍🏻
Haha yea that’s insane! If I had a few days practise and walked the lines I think I could be faster but even still haha!
The thing with the track too is that they are looking for the fastest lines not the safest. That coupled with a race pace is mental.
Fairplay that's savage 💪
Well done!
Wow crazy, big ups Tom 👏👏👍. More data for perspective. Andreas Kolb (the winner) did the run in just under 3 minutes. Tom’s time was around 5 and a half minute. Yes please keep doing legit videos! You are way to good to do fluffy videos

it really tells you how crazy dh racing really is.
Chapeau!! 👏👏👏
That wall ride gap is crazy 😹
It’s huge!
Love Leogang. Is the the steepest bike park in Europe!
I think you should do it red bull hardline
And then ride it in the muddy slop. The Dh guys are nuts
Run 1 : 5:14, world record on e-bike !!! 🙌
who doesn't love a DH pov.
It looks steep even on a GoPro footage 🤯
I'm cracking up each time you say "oh my god" in British English.
oH mY GOd
😂😂😂
Crazy
yep, that track is steep. but dry it's doable. still have no clue how they go down there in the wet. insanity.
If you think Leogang is tough, VDS is a brute, especially after rain.
Gnarly
Scary!
Was that a fart caught on camera on the way down? 😂
You know its steep when it looks steep even in the Gopro
To be honest I'm not sure I could even walk down😃
Hey🙋♂️ hi. Yes, umm no.
😂
😂😂
12:21 that a fart?
