The sauce they make is shrimp/crab paste, fish sauce, Thai chili peppers, msg, sugar, garlic, lime and tomato!! For a lot of southeast Asians who eat this. So good with the salmon, fried chicken, and pork rinds

You might want to get Fresh Wild Alaskan Salmon, Cuz the Salmon you were having it is said to be farm raised with what they put in it, so always by the Wild Salmon that is dark in color which is the best in eating that has no chemicals in it.
Wild salmon is more likely to have parasites. It isn’t as safe to eat raw.

I may be wrong but there’s a certain raw fish you can eat because it’s higher in grade than regular fish you can buy from a Costco or Bjs.. something called sushi grade meat. I can be wrong but I would never eat raw fish from Costco… that fish is never the freshest. It’s at least been thawed and re frozen a few times

A Thai family I know made sauce they called nam chem and it was fish sauce, Thai chili, lime juice, garlic, sugar, lemongrass, ginger, cilantro pounded w motor and pestal. It was fantastic we would eat crab and shrimp dip rice in it id be dipping my bread in it that shits fire. Sometimes they put green tomatoes in it too and wow it was great!

Salmon have clear worms inside the meat if they are fresh and not frozen. You have to look very closely to find them and use tweezers

Esan ppl (northeast thailand, that part is the closest to laos) yes. It depends on region too actually, my family doesnt eat with hands unless its something like the food you see in the video. However shes right for some part haha.

I understand the feeling when I eat those fermented food and yes it call thai egg plant and it healthy by way there is nothing wrong eating fermented sauce those are the best we're khmer people love the food and vegetables is our main course of the meal to balance our nutrient and I love eating those things it's good to show your children new food and explore new things and prepare at home it even better you can make as much as you want yummy you it makes making my mouth water I think I gonna prepare myself that dish too can't wait. Yeah COULD BE Thai, could be lao etc. they def eat this in northeast of Thailand too (or socalled esan region) , some small groups of people also eat something similar in the South of china (im half thai half south chinese and have seen this in several countries around here). Im not a fan of raw food tho, hence why i never ate it before. However, My fam does eat this too. 😂 Enjoy 😊
