Gotta say, I really appreciate Jo putting his foot down at 1:54:17 and not allowing PvP, regardless of the players' vote (And allowing PvP on the condition that fighting players are comfortable with it). This, and asking Davvy if he's comfortable with Enoch shooting a book out of Nathaniel's hand are stand out moments showing that he puts a lot of care into making sure the players have a good and comfortable time, while also providing excellent worldbuilding, settings, gameplay, and NPCs (Glabbagool No.2 and their obsession with moss is the best)

51:50 Fun fact: Glabbagool ("or at least, that's what it has chosen to call itself") was a gelatinous cube in the Oozing Temple (from the Out of the Abyss adventure module). Here's how it's described in the module:
"Unlike most gelatinous cubes, this monster has an Intelligence of 10 (+0) and telepathy out to a range of 60 feet (see the Monster Manual introduction for telepathy rules).
Juiblex's (a demon lord of oozes) arrival in the Underdark has granted Glabbagool sentience and awareness. The ooze is genuinely curious about other creatures and wants to learn more about the world. It defends itself if attacked, but doesn't otherwise try to harm the characters, instead asking who they are, where they come from, and why they have come to the temple.
Other oozes won't attack Glabbagool, so it can block a passageway to help the adventurers fend them off. However, the cube can't safely move past characters in a passageway. Glabbagool might ask to accompany the adventurers if it likes or is intrigued by them. Unfortunately, the ooze's speed of 15 feet means that characters accompanied by it can travel only at a slow place (see 'Travel Pace' at the beginning of this chapter)
Glabbagool's body contains a mace along with 14 ep and the mostly digested body of a drow. It will disgorge the items for the characters if they win its trust."

the 2 evil alignments are thinking like twins for once when they see the treasure, but then it's 3-1 for letting the ettercap go. Such a cool d&d story.

41:34 "Give me your History score (skill modifier), because this is one of those where even if you fail, you're gonna take the time" This is a really neat idea for doing knowledge checks where time is not an issue; this would be the kind of tip interesting to include in a "DM Tips" series.
It’s something that I’ve seen recommended for any skill check that is repeatable and/or not time-sensitive and the result is less of a pass/fail and more how long or how many tries it takes.
(To the tune of Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard)
There's a door right outside of a beaten path.

They're inside of the room it's filled with traps

And they can't believe what's trapped inside.
If they choose the gold and keep the treasure.
Will the glabagol be trapped forever?
If Fezos thinks that gold is good is it really ok?
This is amazing
I'm enjoying this campaign quite a lot thusfar, even moreso than Necrohunt!
The players' chemistry is so good, everyone appears to be having a great time (even Jo), even rivalry/antipathy towards Fezos is being dealt with so smoothly that I'm really digging this group dynamic quite a lot!
The most important plus for me is: there's no screaming among the players!

Seeing how the adventure is going, I am going to be sad when this ends and I know it will be soon as this was advertised as a short campaign 🥲But I am going to enjoy every minute of it. The encounters are fun, the party chemistry is obviously great and just the story in general gives me very cool vibes. Keep up the great work, everyone! ^_^

Mr Jo cat such grate sessions from necro hunt and now golden clay. I hope we get a future where both crews can get a one shot style battle royal in future. Aslong as everyone is able and free to. Or even a mix and match in future of your 8 wonderfully gifted players. Imagine the beautiful chaos of katleyn and Davy, were in same group. It be epic. Or cami cat and Ian were both in teams. It just excellent rpg and story telling

edit: yes more ppl are catching onto this and using the term. and so far ppl embrace it or ppl that take the brand name very serious are unhappy about it. which is expected since i legit met ppl irl at lgs that get aggro/offended when they run a dnd game you call them gamemaster and not dungeonmaster. they take the brand title that seriously.
lets normalize this ppl! no more calling it dnd and no more using the dungeonmaster term. (looks at my name) and i need to figure out how to change that.

OneDnD is pretty much ODD and 2. it makes sense if hearing the bs froom wotc be how they market stuff, the plan revision and releasing books to charge more money, the bs ass VTT thats dnd only which can burn in a fire and knowing them they will send out promo money to get ppl to use it exclusiviely. but those ppl will make the right choice to avoid it right... jocat?
you know that vtt they are making is an actual issue in the trpg community. you claim you aint 100% a dnd brand loyalist from other socials. so if wotc does come up and offer you a deal for it the ppl gotta know: you gonna take it, back pedal on the trpg remarks and be a dnd loyalist or walk away from it and be a supporter of all trpg systems?
Just a quick clarification, we aren't using One D&D systems, it's simply 5e with homebrew rules added. We planned and started the campaign well before One D&D was announced.
