I understand it for top laners, but it always bothers me as a jng main how I don't see more jungler playing with a maxed size mini map. It can kinda get in the way but so much of jungle is just staring at the mini map 24/7 while clearing your camps.
100% agree. I main jungle for so many years and no idea how so many junglers use tiny size mini maps. Literally ur whole role is just staring at map while afk clearing and hoping u see something happen.
LOL the riven was so annoyed at how much the nid camped the jax. Said he wanted to type something in all chat when they won the game because nid was sitting by jax too much in his mind.
Riven is like Yasuo, it's not that the mechanics of the champ are that difficult, it's the fact that you have to absolutely know when (and who) you can and can't fight. It's not that people don't have the mechanics to play those champs, it's that they can't recognize how to play the champs around a fight. If that makes any sense.
the thing that i noticed that this riven does compared to the other ones you'll see in like. NA or rarely in EU (and a lot in CN as well, although maybe not as many as NA there either) is A: koreans definitely punish the smaller cooldown windows the riven has to cc her down in that duration if there is no flash up B: this riven played it more like an assassin in teamfights, going in to clean up kills or push the zeri out of the fight as opposed to diving in 1 v 5 and just being more mechanically talented than the other 5 people (like it is in NA with the 1 v 5 riven montages) C: Extremely patient instead of overly aggressive, which is definitely something you dont see as often in top lane in korea from what ive seen. smart quick trades where riven excels over extended trades where jax definitely wins it. this is just my opinion ofc, but all in all it was a good matchup to watch, it definitely coulda gone either way cuz TF was playing super well and drawing so much pressure for his team in the split push
@@khaikhai4982 you do realize if the matchup is not in your favor, you shouldn’t be hard shoving lane (which he was doing from the beginning), right? Yeah learn the game before you talk…..
@@waterflowzz Jax was hard shoving lane to be relevant and to also maximize on his passive. Jax sitting under tower would make him more susceptible to dives and could put him further behind.
Inhib can sometimes be a bad call unless you can monopolize on the super minions keeping their midlane pressured. If you can't, then it's just more gold and xp for the enemy team
Euw has a few Ricen OTPs as well, they are not really known tho. For example „Built Riven“ or „RippedIrl“ also there is Rueven but he‘s taking a break atm.
Jax is a monster specially on late games, in this game with sunderer not yet nerfed. The good play is, he baited the Jax R when team collapsed on mid, the outbreak happened without Jax R is so huge thus they won the fight. If Jax didnt ult on the solo fight at bot lane, this could be a different turnover specially when LS isolate that Jax also Soraka caught thus Zeri can't do anything at that point.
At like 20:30 wouldn't it have been better for him to either keep pressuring their base and taking objectives while they did baron, or to have just rushed drake with lee and traded baron for drake? I feel like because they were down 2 teammates they never even should have tried contesting and instead just taken a turret or drake and cut their losses.
5:15 I do that in plat elo euw and honestly that might be the reason why I cant climb , instead of getting stronger I dont want my teammates to get behind
I think riven mechanically in a 1v1 isn't too difficult to pick up, but having the mechanics and micro knowledge in team fights is what sets apart the okay rivers from the box box rivens.
Watch closely, how he move his mouse. To do the fast Q combo you gotta Mousover your target, Q right clic during Q animation somewhere else to cancel Q animation, then clic on the enemy to aa, then Q during the aa to cancel the aa animation. And that's just so you can maximize your Q and passiv dmg, there are shit tons of other cancel animations and stuff to know to play riven even just for a 1v1.
@@erickluviano981 boxbox is no where near the top rivens, he barely hits challenger when theres like been 3 riven mains just in NA that have been consistently top 10
the tp doesnt matter on riven, statistically the champ has no late game 25-30minutes games are about its best results but at full build its too vulnerable to point and click cc and has no base ad so you have to build almost all damage to get any kind of damage late game that you die instantly if you cant e
She has no late game? Late game is decided by one teamfight, if you have flash and good angle you can solo kill adc and supp and end game. And this is one of best times for riven, yes we don't have bully asassin riven from season 3, but fighter items are broken right now, goredrinker+death dance+maw or sterak and you have so much shields+your e which is on 3-4 sec cd late game, goredrinker heal is huge, you can even take more shielding in secondary resolve runes if you want and bone plating. Just cause you don't know how to play and build riven doesn't mean she has no late game. Also looking statistics for one of hardest champs to play and master is so wrong, average riven player is so much worse than best riven, it is so much greater difference, same applies to all hard champs who require more than 100 games to even get a hang of.
@@Tomica031 I agree. I think this game was just a mad matchup for Riven. Zeri is just completely unbalanced and Jax is a really hard matchup for Riven. Even when he was super far ahead and had a whole item advantage, Jax was still beating him 1v1. What a ridiculous champ.
@@Tomica031 all of that is not true. rivens win rate is entirely determined by game time and meta. during the last season she was nerfed repeatedly and her win rate stayed high because she was favored early game against the champs being picked, then that changed and she dropped under 50% again till it changed back...prior to that vs mao and gnar and poppy and trundle and ornn she was at 46% for almost a year...and people still said op. also statistics consider only higher ranked players by both default and your own selections on various websites, and they all say the same thing, her win rate grows up to about 30mins and then rapidly declines with 45+ games being her lowest win rate because she cant in most cases get to anything she can kill and the many point and click hard cc champs destroy her in team fights...she is best with a kept lead early and mid game which is why in certain meta's she looks like she does well and better as you look at higher and higher ranks...but the champion is out dated and hasnt fit the modern game for years which is why except for viper going into pro games and rapidly needing pick other things, and the odd riven pick for the fans...you simply dont see her in pro play
@@wargumbyx I am not saying riven is best hypercarry late game, but saying she has no late game is wrong. She is not champ that falls off, she just doesn't hyperscale like jax, camille or irelia. Also, most people don't get riven playstyle, you have so much tools in your kit so you have so much expression. Riven is best at kiting and drawing pressure in solo lane, always able to 1v2 if in lead, or if you are against somene who outscales, also excells at extended fights. Like someone said, riven is all arounder, she is not best assasin or best fighter or most mobile, but she is so flexible and you can adjust your gameplay according to situation, you can be split pushing monster, you can peel for your adc if you have something like jinx/aphelios, you can approach teamfights from weird angles. Other thing riven is good at is applying pressure all over the map cause you can jump walls in jungle, so you can constantly push one lane and rush to other if you draw attention. Your first comment about riven not needing tp is so wrong, you don't think about game after 30min and say to yourself I need tp or ignite. You ask yourself if enemy top takes ignite am I screwed in lane? If answer is yes, than you also take ignite (most skill matchups like darius, irelia, fiora, jax, trynda)...I do agree tp as a spell for toplane is much worse this seasson cause of changes and you see no tp top in proplay often when same thing applies to early matchup. And only worse thing than watching statistics is looking at pro play hahahaha. Pro play is stale for years, almost every pro plays 5 champs and rotates them constantly. Also, proplay is a lot different than even high mmr soloqueue game. There is no reason for pro player to practice onetrick champs just for some countermatchups. At the end of the day, just watch adrian, viper or someone, ask them on stream is riven strong today, and if you don't trust what they say, you are dellusional. Also, this guy is soooo high rank with riven, so obviously champion is strong right now
Been watching TFBlade stream for awhile and every Nautilus game either roams and makes so many plays that they get a massive lead or runs it down till 15mins LOL 😂Korean Nautilus are really next level big brain players.

B: this riven played it more like an assassin in teamfights, going in to clean up kills or push the zeri out of the fight as opposed to diving in 1 v 5 and just being more mechanically talented than the other 5 people (like it is in NA with the 1 v 5 riven montages)
C: Extremely patient instead of overly aggressive, which is definitely something you dont see as often in top lane in korea from what ive seen. smart quick trades where riven excels over extended trades where jax definitely wins it.
this is just my opinion ofc, but all in all it was a good matchup to watch, it definitely coulda gone either way cuz TF was playing super well and drawing so much pressure for his team in the split push
They had to babysit tfblade cuz they knew that riven would own him.
you do realize riven vs jax is riven favored?
@@khaikhai4982 you do realize if the matchup is not in your favor, you shouldn’t be hard shoving lane (which he was doing from the beginning), right? Yeah learn the game before you talk…..
@@waterflowzz Jax was hard shoving lane to be relevant and to also maximize on his passive. Jax sitting under tower would make him more susceptible to dives and could put him further behind.
I v never seen you do vod on vlad otp on korea or chinaSv, can you do it pls ?
17:08 nice point
Inhib can sometimes be a bad call unless you can monopolize on the super minions keeping their midlane pressured.
If you can't, then it's just more gold and xp for the enemy team
Even in gold junglers put up freezes to lanes and help push etc...
Built is currently rank #1 on EUW with 1734 LP as a riven one trick maybe you should make a video about him? :D has something like 64% winrate
Euw has a few Ricen OTPs as well, they are not really known tho. For example „Built Riven“ or „RippedIrl“ also there is Rueven but he‘s taking a break atm.
I'm just glad we didn't have to hear TF blade's screaming and FF shouting during this vod review :)
So highest elo on tough server, Nidalee gets the drag 14:58 why does her team stay to fight afterwards? What do they have to gain?
Jax is a monster specially on late games, in this game with sunderer not yet nerfed. The good play is, he baited the Jax R when team collapsed on mid, the outbreak happened without Jax R is so huge thus they won the fight. If Jax didnt ult on the solo fight at bot lane, this could be a different turnover specially when LS isolate that Jax also Soraka caught thus Zeri can't do anything at that point.
Love that Midbeast, such a handsome bloke.
you should do review of built's riven he is rank 2 euw currently
I think that at 19:49 it was better to keep pushing to get another tower, seen that they could not contest baron anyways
it is so exciting to watch these high skill games with permanent jungle and support roams!
Lol the mental on this team...20:16
I think riven mechanically in a 1v1 isn't too difficult to pick up, but having the mechanics and micro knowledge in team fights is what sets apart the okay rivers from the box box rivens.
Watch closely, how he move his mouse.
To do the fast Q combo you gotta Mousover your target, Q right clic during Q animation somewhere else to cancel Q animation, then clic on the enemy to aa, then Q during the aa to cancel the aa animation.
And that's just so you can maximize your Q and passiv dmg, there are shit tons of other cancel animations and stuff to know to play riven even just for a 1v1.
box box out of every riven player, really?
@@lionheartz7058 he is a really good riven. What’s the problem lol…
@@erickluviano981 boxbox is no where near the top rivens, he barely hits challenger when theres like been 3 riven mains just in NA that have been consistently top 10
@@erickluviano981 General Sniper is much better. Box box plays in gold flex queue with scarra and other friends very often
the tp doesnt matter on riven, statistically the champ has no late game 25-30minutes games are about its best results but at full build its too vulnerable to point and click cc and has no base ad so you have to build almost all damage to get any kind of damage late game that you die instantly if you cant e
Poor riven champion only 53% win rate for 5 patches in a row
Also, this guy is soooo high rank with riven, so obviously champion is strong right now
I FUCKING LOVE the Riven content man! AZHY is a DEMON!!!
10:28 little brain lag right there
I swear the E spam Sound on this skin is triggering maybe just me. But very good video! Great insight.
best thing ever when KatEvolved, Midbeans, Nemesis, Yamato, TFblade or Baus face each other
katevolved sucks to be in korea tbh
how do you even
enlarge the minimap to that scale
I like my minimap max size as well, it's easier to notice things and having it smaller really doesn't have any advantages.
where does this riven healing come from its crazy 27:08
DD
Damn this game was INTENSE! I love Riven as a champion, man.
I have minimap that bit too, I'm only plat 2 but I think it's clear from this that I have challenger level game knowledge.
Worth watching Azhy if you have any interest in Riven, Jayce or Fiora. He’s known for his Riven but he’s also very strong on the other 2
i love how you're low-key against tfblade on this one lmao
It was so funny when Nidalee froze the wave early game, he was like "damn, isn't she the toplaner's dog at this point..." xD
dopaslayer95 is back in
Hey Midbeast if u can could u find a cn super server akali or kr akali id love 2 see a video on it
more tf blade plz this psycho is damn fun and intersting to watch
every time i see a tfblade vod hes getting baby sat.
I still think blade is a psychopath and he didn't even know his jungler is coming 🤣😂
Haha he seem like a player who just plays tbh he understand split pushing frontlineing though which is the main thing of a top laner.
Midbeast: Beautiful skin btw
me: yeah great skin
Azhy: This skin honestly trash (he says it 15:56)
me: yeah trash skin
Are you gonna review KatEvolved?
What was the guy saying in Korean at the end
you're telling me a shrimp fried that rice? unbelievable
That was midgap. Camille didn’t have presence in the fights
Probrably because she was like a tank an need to protect ADC an support so miss alot in lane lol
Been watching TFBlade stream for awhile and every Nautilus game either roams and makes so many plays that they get a massive lead or runs it down till 15mins LOL 😂Korean Nautilus are really next level big brain players.
Let’s be honest any game júnglers aren’t blowing tf blade’s ass he loses lane
2:22 lol there is no visual queue that he stepped on the Nidalee trap - this is BS Riot!
Early game trades were 🔥
Midbeast please do a review of Psychedelic 1 (EUW). He's the first person since Jebsu to hit Challenger with triforce on-hit Twisted Fate. He plays with either glacial augment or lethal tempo.
Riven is what you called easy to learn but hard to master
About high elo riven otps we have Built on the euw server currently rank 3 this guy is crazy good should check him out once he reach rank 1
Brings back the concept that na challenger is masters korea or diamond korea at its best when people like viper, pobelter, tfblade and so on go to reach high ranks in korea.
Tfblade is rank 36 in Korea rn lol
TFBlade be pulling mid and winning 75 percent of his Garen games, hope we get a nice breakdown, he’s ripping over 9 cs/minute on him too
Dude you know it's high elo when even the fucking supporter counter ganked LMFAO
nice vod
Twitch chat trolling if they think Riven isnt mechanically intensive. Animation cancelling consistently under pressure is super tough. The difference between a great riven and your average riven is insane. Just look at how smooth guys like this are vs a gold/plat Riven.
27:50 what did he say?
the jungler fixing lanes wave state is even a common thing in diamond on euw. good video still.
Nid is literally crying as he holds TF blade's wave lmao
very entertaining game, thanks Mr. Beast
How does that guy extend his minimap so hard?
LordKebab7000 and built on EUW are both insane 1kLP+ riven players. Lordkebab streams too at ripped_lol he's a norwegian pro
Imagine if Midbeast learned Korean and could tel us what they’re saying
riven has the match up jax can't win a single trade
There is like 5 riven onetricks in eu challenger 12:52
Yea like he shudve atleast known about built 1500LP euw riven otp
