About Coutinho, he definitely would’ve suited a Flick system more - simply because he could’ve played in the ‘10’ position - rather than being stuck out on the wing. Along with the more more attacking approach under Flick, as opposed to Valverde’s style!

The issue is that, previously our training was below the standard out there, so when they go and face that intensity, they get injured but now our players are really fit and up to standard in training

Ferran has proven to us that he’s a substitute player.
I think Ferran is a great super sub...he was doing it last year too...when he started, he just didn't have the same impact...as a sub, I believe he could have 20+ goal contributions...he comes off the bench and has a more aggressive attitude than when he starts

Gavi will start training in November, but I doubt he'll have playtime until December, he won't start maybe until January or February only Copa del Rey matches, without much pressure. Towards the end of the season he may already be a key player. In the meantime, Casadó, Eric García and Pedri will have to do, but we need to be careful with how much they play to not overwork them. Same with our front 4; the more opportunities for Fermín, Ferrán, Ansu, Pau Víctor and even Barça Atlétic players the better. We need to get the best results possible now while resting some players so at the end of the season everyone is in top shape

Lamine had me scared at the end of the half. He looked gassed, and I saw him stretch his hamstring. I was so relieved to see him subbed off.
I think the good thing is the position that Bernal plays in is more brains than body so his recovery from this injury is much more positive than lets say a winger who has to run the channels and take on players.
i don't if am the only one who has noticed this but Ferran Torres plays better when he comes in as a substitute, he shines almost every time he comes off the bench not as a starter
