I was there that day, about 20 ft from the stage. I was 21 at the time. I would have preferred seeing them at their best in 1969 but I would have been 9 in 69 so that wasn't going to happen. I thought they were old in 1981.... Who knew Jagger would still be performing at 81 years old.
I was there. Still remember a guy from my neighborhood grab a bottle from the confiscation barrel at the entrance, and out running all the security. Saw him later in the crowd drinking that bottle. The good old days.
I'm from new york city and the bronx, but I seen them in badger bowl, wisconsin, pretty amazing guys.I remember looking at charlie watts one. They gave him a stunning ovation when mick introduced him
I was at that show.. fucking packed, hot as shit… Couldn’t move couldn’t drink anything I couldn’t take a piss. It was the fucking Rolling Stones and I couldn’t wait for it to be over but it was a great show. Some guy was trading lines of coke for a bottle of water
Seen them with Santana and Iggy pop at the silverdome in 81. Still personal top 5 concert of all time for me! Thanks for sharing this video. Brings back great memories of that night in 81!
WOW , 15.75$ to see a concert. Can't even buy a nose bleed for less than a few hundred. Shame, yet they're sold out on every show. Good for them , I rather remember The Rolling Stones shows from back in 77 , 81. The last one I saw was 1989 Steel Wheels tour in Shea Stadium 🏟.
In the summer of 81 and 82, the first real stadium tour by a music band was written in the newspapers at the time. Daylight concerts with lots of sun, blue skies and bright colors. You got something to see instead of the night concerts... And of course that sound!
@@mobiditch6848 Yup, also 78 in Philadelphia JFK Satdium, and stadiums in Chicago, Cleveland, etc. Also 75 half were in stadiums. Back to 1969 - London and Altamount, etc. But in 81/82 it was almost all outdoor, the first time so many in the majority.
I was there On the floor Everyone standing couldn’t see a thing I was 27. No bathroom entire show and none all the way back to nyc. Saw them again in nov at byrne arena nj Keith chords shook the building Best they ever sounded..also saw the 69 and 72 shows at msg. Saw em in 78 in jfk an was disappointed
@@michaelzukowski5541 their SNL performance in 78 was disappointing as well
they suck live without mick Taylor i was there as well for this disaster
@@123456stronzo I never liked the choice of Ron Wood as Taylor's replacement. I always saw Wood as a Keith wannabe.

I was there! My first stones concert. Awesome tailgate party started day before
Was Frampton there also ?
I was down in front for those 2 shows in September 1981
I was right down there. I have a bunch of pictures I took.

It was hot and yet Mick, Keith, Ron and Bill are all wearing jackets.....haha! (At least at the start).
I was there !!!!!!!! 92 degrees in September. George Thorogood and The Delaware Destroyers opened the show. Then Journey was next.
We like the rolling stone forever thank s
That’s the kinda crowds I miss clapping, dancing and singing not standing still with a phone and getting mad at someone for having a good time
I was 12 years old. First concert. My parents grounded me for a month. 😂
Was there for the second show on Saturday.
beautiful... is in the eye of the beholder....
my lord is me... because me is all i have in life... my own in and out....
I was at this one. Notable because it was the first show of the tour and they played Mona. Which sadly they didn’t play again
We got Tops too...
@@nanchanger forgotten that. Kinda like the song. 😂

🔥❤🔥That is a real raw gig! Stones Forever! ❤🔥🔥
This is the best recording I've heard id the Tattoo You Tour. Start me Up never sounded this amazing after this tour. Overall, the Stones are the best
Glimmer Stone thanks so much. благодарю за отличное видео выступления группы Rolling Stones.
glad that you're back posting concert videos!

Their performance is hit and miss but when they do hit (like on All Down the Line) it's spectacular!!
Gracias, is that concert of Philadelphia 1981 is Soundboard too
I was there. Still have the ticket stub. $15.75
Still have the Postcards they sent to those without tix...

I was there and then drove up to Bethlehem to see The Dead that night. After this Stones hot show they Dead seemed like they were on Thorazine.
Awesome! Thank you 🙏!
I saw them on this tour in the Houston Astrodome.
In the summer of 81 and 82, the first real stadium tour by a music band was written in the newspapers at the time. Daylight concerts with lots of sun, blue skies and bright colors. You got something to see instead of the night concerts... And of course that sound!
They played outdoors in 1978 at the Oakland Coliseum and LA shows.

Most stadium shows are at night now instead of day. Maybe US cities had a strict noise curfew laws back then.
Thanks Glimmer! I love that version of Jumpin Jack Flash!❤
Gracias gran archivista Glimmer 🎉
Was there both nights ... #Tops
It looks like they played during the day.

As much as I love the stones they were always stupid, or even spastic, when it came to cultural or political awareness.
El Mismo Día de Que La Banda Queen Dieron Su Primer Concierto En El Poliedro de Caracas En Venezuela
This is better...
I was there if this was the show opened by George Thorogood and Journey who were rapidly booed and had bottles thrown at them.
Odlican koncert.......stonesi u punoj snazi......doooobra set lista.......let me go najjaca
Piano player hidden, unfair
seems to me the band was in a strange place. notice how good they have to be when it's just them. no Bobby Keys even. I'm into this up to Shattered.
What is the purpose of duplicating audio tracks and moving them back? Just to fatten it up like an over dub?
I cant believe all the crap people were throwing on stage. Its so dangerous.
It looks audience recording not pro shot
and?
@@nanchanger It's true, This is an audience recording video too and dubbed IEM audio
