- Held in Chorzów at the Silesian Stadium in 1981, this is Heat 7 in which Olsen and Nielsen meet Germany's Egon Muller and George Gilgenreiner.
Unfortunatly Olsen's team riding skills leave the Germans on the floor. - Спорт
Ole just closed that inside down, Muller simply ran into the back of him.....
It just my opinion I think ole olden was the finest rider ever to sit on a bike
It has to be said, the likes of Olsen and Mauger were out to win, they took no prisoners. I don't think they'd stand a chance if it was nowadays with the new rules.
Interesting. I'm not sure I like any of the team riding tactics, though this one was routinely used by riders in my day. However, it was done at the apex of the corner where your opponent would have to lock it up to avoid you, not down the straightaway. Once they've "sucked vinyl" and parked it to avoid you, you motored away and took a big lead. Crappy CS tactics and especially so with the caliber of riders here in this race. Having said that, Egon should have been on the outside, not the inside, am I right? That was a noob move on his part. Shoudda seen that one coming.
Cheers,

When are the Bees coming back
50-50 for me , pairs riding is what it says on the tin
Team riding is one thing deliberately rolling off and putting your opponents in Hospital is quite another- and this is one of the many times Olsen performed this dirty trick.
Gotta love mullers handle bars....was olsen guilty? ....tactics...or just a little dirty tricks....
I thought Olsen walked on water
Dirty rider and now has destroyed British Speedway leagues as John Berry warned he would.
Ole was dictating the race at a slow pace...but Egon should have read it better he just kept it wound on and got himself into touble in my opinion...
Das ist richtig, ich war zu jung.
Typical Olsen.
The dirtiest trick ANY speedway rider can do is to 'roll it off and park it' and he was a serial offender at it be it in league or World events.
He knew what he was doing and he knew his opponent could either crash into him or lay it down to miss him.
As long as he won he didn't care about the consequences for others.
I've got to say that's while Olsen was looking for Muller that he lost his shape a little. Muller kept his line and wasn't going to back off.
He was allways up to no good
@@tartantony08 Clearly my mistake. Without team riding and England experience. I didn't know the tactics and was too young. It cost me 3 years of pain because 2 vertebrae had broken. Gilgenreiner's engine hit my back exactly. Anyone who says otherwise has no idea about the speedway.
@@egonmuller6180 Well done for the above comments, it takes a big man to admit his mistake.
I hope it hasn’t left you with long term pain Egon , btw Thankyou for many years of entertainment , racing speedway and long track , used to love seeing you and PC battle back in the day and yes I’m English
