Hello Times Infinity! I've saved this video offline since I'm busy... But I've liked it even before watching!!! By the way I received this video on seven o'clock, I live in India...
Managed to somehow watch this video today, Times Infinity... Really great animations!!! How fast the pulsars rotate! How brightly the stars shine! And the one - line facts! I never knew Titan would become habitable when the sun turns into a red giant... And that Quasi Star! I really liked this video... ...but I liked the way you put the video in reverse mode in Size Comparison of the Universe 2017 during the last few seconds Please do the same for Size Comparison 2019 too...!
I just want to let you know... that Size Comparison of the Universe 2017 is the reason I am studying Astrophysics and hope to become a Theoretical Astrophysicist, hopefully with a Harvard PhD. If it weren't for you, I would probably be studying computer science. I am doing extremely well in Physics, so I just want to thank you for making such breathtaking videos and steering me towards a better decision. It may seem like an overstatement, but you have changed my life. I knew how incredible the universe was before your video, and I was considering going into physics or something before, but after watching your video, I truly saw how spectacular the universe is and how incredible it could be to be among the people solving its countless mysteries. That video has made me ask myself the questions that others can't even begin to comprehend. While my friend's head spins over it, I am looking to the sky as I ask myself not simply why the universe exists... but why it is possible for anything to exist. Why *existence itself* exists. It's a thought that I can't let go of. Because of you, it's part of me. If it weren't for you, I'd wind up with a moderately paying job relating to computer science after having failed my childhood dream of becoming a great video game developer wishing that I had used my natural intelligence for something better. Now I know that I will get a Bachelor's degree in physics and hopefully get a PhD in astrophysics (hopefully from Harvard) and even if I don't want to become an astrophysicist, I can get a job pretty much anywhere with that.
Thanks Dgamer, I really appreciate the comment. Keep up the study, I think you'll do great! I can tell you from firsthand experience, university can be challenging but once you get there (And you will!) it is worth it, you'll learn so much more and come out with a richer understanding of the universe. Good luck with your studies!
I have no right to "guess" whether or not it is infinite. We have no evidence towards whether or not it is. My current conclusion that the universe is only as big as the space in which energy occupies. Because space itself is energy, we can only assume that the universe is infinite. It goes without saying that to apply the concept of the universe being infinite/finite in any way to any scientific arguments is wrong. Additionally, saying the universe is only as big as the space in which energy occupies is not the full picture. While there might be somewhere without energy, that doesn't mean energy is incapable of existing there.
I look forward to these every year, and this was the best one yet. Amazing work! I can't wait to see what new discoveries get added to next year's size comparison, I'm already looking forward to it.
Hey this is really beautiful, THANKS SO MUCH for using my music as soundtrack..! I am honoured to be featured here on such informative and useful content :)!
There should be seeing as NASA is about to launch the TESS space telescope this month. Its supposed to examine 200000 solarsystems over the next 2 years in a 200 light year radius. The cameras can detect light variations of down to 0.04‰ and since the earth passing infront of the sun lowers the sun light by 0.1‰ it means TESS can detect smaller exoplanets than previously possible. These smaller planets have a higher probability of life than the larger ones discovered so far so its gonna be an exciting year :)
This was the most stunning video, I have ever seen. Without exaggeration. It completely blew my mind. This video really shows how f*cking incredible that size of our universe is. The music is fitting perfectly. Thank you for uploading!!!
As it is a yearly tradition, we get yet another Size Comparison of the Universe. I always loved these, and this one has much better quality, plus, I like the multiple inclusions you make! Here, have a like and sub.
Me too it puts things into perspective you think that you’re big then you see something like this and you are reminded of how little you actually are and then mind blown
this just gets better and better every year! love that you're putting the spotlight on obscure stars like wr 102 rather than standards like arcturus. love it!!
Just a quick question. Are the star models used in the video in screen mode? For when I use the mode the background shines through, making the colors more dull. Thanks

Beautiful. The fact that there are stars alone that are larger than the black hole holding our galaxy together is truly mind blowing. (The best way to know truth is to post the wrong answer online, so if that isn't true any more I'll know soon enough. And thanks in advance to those people!) Great Video, many thanks!
Human to even visible universe is a bigger jump, because there are billions of atoms in a human body but in the known universe there are way more than 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 atoms which is the square if a billion. Therefor there must be a bigger gap (assuming ofc that u are talking proportional and not absolute difference which would be a silly question) hope this answers your question in a satisfactory way!
This is the best size comparison video among thoses out there (of course i watched all of them because none of them makes me feel enough), quality images, eye-softling font and important infos on each object. Also *very nice* dramatic music
This kind of video, make my eyes sparkles, if only I was smart enough for being an astronaut or at least an astrophysicist. The immensity of the universe makes me so dreamed, extraterrestrial life, black hole, nebula, the beyond of the observable universe etc. If I had only one wish to realize it would be to discover an unknown part of the space.
Hey Harry, yeah Archenar is the most distorted star ever observed, seems more like an egg than a sphere. Loving how great your channel is progressing BTW
This had to do a lot of work, I know that the planets did not fade before, and the visualization of the stars and black holes is impressive. It's scary how small we are and it is impossible that we would be in the universe ourselves. For me the amazing video that should be in Top of UA-cam. Maybe next time I would use again Musik from 2016, which was with comparison to a breathtaking level. I salute 👍👍👍
Samir Esselmouni thanks Samir, appreciate the fact that you noticed about the planets, each was masked and I did spend more time on this than I'd like to admit!
I think it'll make us feel smaller as we figure out the immense travel time between the stars. However while distances are huge, so is time. I'd say we'll have enough time to colonize the local galactic neighbourhood, if not even further out, provided we survive long enough to leave Earth!
That, was mind-blowing in scale. Best video ever I've ever seen in any kind of size comparison from the smallest to the largest. Truly astonishing in sizes. If we only knew how truly big the Multiverse is OMG, that would shatter our minds to comprehend. Awesome video.

Thats actually a good question. Some religious people want to introduce every discovery and progress in science as part of the "divine plans" in their religions- that makes non-believers to tell them to go preach somewhere else and such. Yet, most people who argue about religion on science videos are just trolls.
Im religious and theirs nothing ridiculous about this video or any scientific discovery Christians simply accept it since it doesn't go against their faith
It is good to put things in perspective, in order to appreciate the created beauty, power, wealth and the love surrounding us. Good job. Thanks for sharing
Fabio Fernandez good... very good... It is my believe that every human being should have one of those at least once in their lifetime. Opens up gateways to new perspectives.
WTF, there is nothing wrong with him asking that question, it is seriously stupid that people get so triggered from it, personally it's hard to say if it is infinite, but then it kind of doesn't make sense to say it is cause I don't think anything in the finite world we live in could be infinite, I mean i could be wrong but I guess if we ever do find out it won't be any time soon.
it's the silence of the space which makes me feel my knowledge is quite like a plank size and my storage is like the largest bacteria, going to Saturn's rings for tours 😍😍
And people still think we’re the only “intelligent” life forms in the universe lmao. That just goes to show how ignorant people can be. For all we Know there could be a planet out there with actual superhero’s.
I once heard someone say that all other planets except earth are completely void of life, no microscopic life, nothing, and humans are here to colonize all of the planets in the universe. Lmao bullshit
When I feel overwhelmed by work and life, I like to lie back and think about this kind of thing - just how small and insignificant Earth is. It helps to put my puny problems into perspective.
Indeed, the biggest one known. What bothers me particularly about that is the fact that now being on a void could be a quite big factor for life on the Fermi's paradox.
our understanding of size is nothing on our planet. There are far bigger things out there and to think about it is simply too much to even take it. Great vid.
Excellent video, but I have two suggestions. 1) slow it down some. It's hard to contemplate the meanng of the description. I'm a very fast reader and I could not reflect on what I was reading. 2) PLEASE add imperial units. I don't have any sense of metric lengths. Many, many people who watch this will miss most of the meaning. However, I love how you stopped occasionally and reminded us of scale, especially with the large stars.

Hey this is really beautiful, THANKS SO MUCH for using my music as soundtrack..! I am honoured to be featured here on such informative and useful content :)!
Thanks Savfk, love the music, hope to see even more of it in 2018!
Is The Universe infinite?
RJL738 The universe grows at a speed faster than anything in the known universe so yeah i guess.
RJL738 who knows ? we have no answers yet
RJL738 Well I think it cannot be infinite because it grows. We just dont have a name for the number and also cant observe the whole universe.
This is one of the very best size comparison videos that I have ever seen. I hope that there shall be many more planet discoveries in 2018.
Would you say The Universe is infinite?
There should be seeing as NASA is about to launch the TESS space telescope this month.

Yeah, too bad it is inaccurate.
The animations in this video were great but the music wasn't as good as the previous one.
Fuck off Universe
These are getting better and better by the year, awesome work... thanks!
But is the Bootes Void infinite or does RJL738 fucks my asshole right now?

thanks
I wonder how fast a star like that could spin before it breaks apart. Maybe that could be an idea for a future video.

The universe really can't have a true size because it is expanding every second
I watched this incredibly awesome mindblowing video, but all I could think about was...the CAKE!
Great work Times Infinity and thank you.

Axel Pixel I'll write a fanfiction about you 2
Really makes you feel small huh. Just wait until we can achieve interstellar travel
I think it'll make us feel smaller as we figure out the immense travel time between the stars. However while distances are huge, so is time. I'd say we'll have enough time to colonize the local galactic neighbourhood, if not even further out, provided we survive long enough to leave Earth!
Not if you'll have to pray to another genocidal god 5 times a day or be killed. No time for research and innovation.
Is The Universe infinite then?
No one knows.
RJL738 why are you on every comment you freak
Next year 30 minutes, so we can feel more smaller!
Amazing
I can see the RJL738 & Axel pixel Galaxy Superclusters from here
lol
An excellent demonstration of exactly how small we are cosmically
i didnt know that there was smaller particulars than planck! nice video keep going.
The scale of those stars is INSANE
Is The Universe infinite? Where would the edge be?
RJL738 if it's expanding it is finite.
justin biggs you are not taking Axel Pixel's place on telling RJL738 to fuck off over & over again
That, was mind-blowing in scale. Best video ever I've ever seen in any kind of size comparison from the smallest to the largest. Truly astonishing in sizes. If we only knew how truly big the Multiverse is OMG, that would shatter our minds to comprehend. Awesome video.

Wow, this comparison had a great range. I love the brief descriptions, very helpful.
Can you use Flight Hymn by Ross Bugden again on your next comparison video? That music was so amazing!
Just noticed how there's way, way fewer religious comments on this video than on the previous one. Guess you're really opening peoples' eyes!
I was wondering about the same, but just wait a bit and the trolls will arrive.
why would they argue?
what religion has to do with it?
Thats actually a good question. Some religious people want to introduce every discovery and progress in science as part of the "divine plans" in their religions- that makes non-believers to tell them to go preach somewhere else and such. Yet, most people who argue about religion on science videos are just trolls.
agree
Im religious and theirs nothing ridiculous about this video or any scientific discovery Christians simply accept it since it doesn't go against their faith

A beautiful job! This video is wonderfull and the music transport to the universe! Well done! Greetings from Chile!
It is good to put things in perspective, in order to appreciate the created beauty, power, wealth and the love surrounding us. Good job. Thanks for sharing
Hi! I translated the video into Spanish, accept it please. I love this video. Congratulations!
Hi Pablo, thanks for the translation, it should be up and running with the translation now!
Pablo, como diria Escobar "usted es un berraco!"
RJL738 must ask if the universe is infinite in Spanish & Axel Pixel must tell him to fuck off in spanish too
@@SurfingBOceanNesto22 You're equally as annoying as both of them because you've replied to way more comments

A fantastic reminder of just how insignificant we all are. ;) Great video mate, much obliged!
...existential crisis...
Fabio Fernandez yes. But at least there are an infinite number of aliens and thus one shares the same feeling.
Is The Universe infinite? What is your opinion?
Fabio Fernandez
good... very good... It is my believe that every human being should have one of those at least once in their lifetime. Opens up gateways to new perspectives.
Axel Pixel why are you beating him up for
Alex Rajcevic
This sucker, RJL738, is on every single thread asking the same stupid question, and not only on this video.
After all is amazing animation!
Would you say The Universe is infinite?
Or what?
WTF, there is nothing wrong with him asking that question, it is seriously stupid that people get so triggered from it, personally it's hard to say if it is infinite, but then it kind of doesn't make sense to say it is cause I don't think anything in the finite world we live in could be infinite, I mean i could be wrong but I guess if we ever do find out it won't be any time soon.
Where is Alex Pixel saying to him "Fuck Off you idiot"
nowhere, i wasn't talking about that at all
Oh, our beautiful universe! 😍
Wow! Thanks dude this was awesome. You get a big like for me and I subscribed, keep up the good work and I expect to see one in 2019!
If it's so small that you can't squint and see it ,or so large you can't step back from it and see it, then you mind can NOT comprehend it.
Its January 13th 2019...

And people still think we’re the only “intelligent” life forms in the universe lmao. That just goes to show how ignorant people can be. For all we
Know there could be a planet out there with actual superhero’s.
I once heard someone say that all other planets except earth are completely void of life, no microscopic life, nothing, and humans are here to colonize all of the planets in the universe. Lmao bullshit
RJL738 > Axel Pixel > RJL738
Who knows.. We could be the first intelligent life in the universe.
Just once, I’m gonna find an alien species that’s worse than me at everything.. I’m gonna go to their planet and be their fucking Superman.

Stunning visuals, I look at 2010 size comparisons and see how far we've come.
When I feel overwhelmed by work and life, I like to lie back and think about this kind of thing - just how small and insignificant Earth is. It helps to put my puny problems into perspective.

So we are basically inside a VOID

Indeed, the biggest one known. What bothers me particularly about that is the fact that now being on a void could be a quite big factor for life on the Fermi's paradox.

our understanding of size is nothing on our planet. There are far bigger things out there and to think about it is simply too much to even take it. Great vid.
Excellent, _excellent_ video. Astounding and jaw droppingly humbling to think of objects of that kind of scale. I'm kinda lost for words...

Dude i am watching this size comparison since it started❤️❤️
