I got the Creality Pi, have been using it for a month to dry PLA, PETG and TPU. Seems to work fine, a little loud though.

The fan of the Sunlu is built into the base and runs very solwly. The purpose seems to be to cool just the electronics on the front. Maybe they had problems with controller failures in the past.

On another youtube channel, someone found that there's a model of Ninja air fryer that has a dehydrator mode. Its "fry bay" very perfectly holds a single spool of filament, almost like it was planned for that usage. They said you can find a model of it at walmart for $60. I'd be interested to see how it compares in dry time. One advantage is that the currently available filament dryers struggle to get past 70C, while some fancier filaments neeed 100C to dry properly. The Ninja would have no problem getting up to 100C.

Until nearly 4 minutes in, every time he says Sunlu, i hear Sunmoo... After that he emphasizes L.
Also the fan in the Sunlu is sealed in a compartment on the bottom to cool the electronics. It does zero to help remove moisture it circulate the air in the drying compartment.
