I am impressed with Delta, the meals looked excellent and they gave you 2 dinners. Lots of yummy food. Glad to see the US carriers improving their game.

Even 2-4-2 is better than 3-3-3 😣

How many seats in a row is irrelevant. What's relevant is how wide the seats are. A 767s economy seats are always less than 18" wide, making them worse than a comparable Airbus' seats.
Rory Clark Aviation false. ALL 5 variants of Delta’s 767s have economy and economy+ seat width of 17.9” according to Delta and SeatGuru themselves. I fly to London and back from the states each year. I fly DELTA Comfort plus. Right behind first class Wider seats and more legroom. And yes, Delta's food is quite impressive for airline food. I love Delta!

...Meh....I'd say slightly, at best. The only real improvement is in their technology and how it's delivered.
Delta has definitely improved immensely from a several years ago when I would've compared them to American, but now AA has gone downhill while Delta has skyrocketed
Delta's economy indeed seems much better than American or United's... More spacious seats, nicer cabin crew, larger amount of and better tasting food, and newer cabin interiors with a good AVOD system. What is the best way to ask for seconds during meal service?
idk what the best way is, I just asked the FA when he walked through
I always make sure to politely ask, "if there's any food leftover once everybody else has eaten, I'd love another..."

oh i've flown on all3 major american airline and delta is the best 100% i would always fly with them
I love Delta! I've flown them around 6 times and each time the plane has been very clean and neat, and their FAs are very accommodating. I was super hungry one flight and they gave me heaps of snacks when I requested extra :)
My gf and I flew to Japan with delta last year in may, we ate before we got on the plane. I thought we would only eat once, boy was I wrong those foos fed us a shit ton I was gonna pop by the time we landed and they gave us ice cream. Delta is badass
all three US legacy carriers at Zurich. you are right. Delta really is stepping up their program. I fly out of DTW, and the difference between delta & northworst....im sorry northwest, whom they bought out is substantial.
When i flew economy with delta from CDG > JFK we had an amazing experience! They kept feeding us and giving us drinks!!, I would 100% recommend them!!
I love when the window seats align perfectly like that, great for leaning. I wish seatguru added those types of details. Makes a big difference to not be right on the barrier in between the windows

I adored delta when I flew with them, amazing food, friendly crew, comfy seat. Part of my trip was with KLM amazing as well apart from some FA on my flight weren't so nice but like delta so much food and it was a brilliant flight. I'd heard bad things but they couldn't have proved me more wrong
Great to see another trip report! Stunning departure out of Zurich. Looks like Delta have indeed improved their onboard service. 3 choices in economy is very good. European airlines trying hard to cut costs everywhere but nice to see Delta adding details here and there

Delta's meals are great! Especially if you fly out of Paris! I even had lunch with one of the pilots after we landed.
Wow the refurbished cabin on the 767 looks awesome and the huge IFE screen looks awesome great trip report!
Used to love flying from ATL to SFO on the 767 2 seat side. Now it's all sardine can 757, 737, Airbus 3-3 config.
Delta... Respect! I don't visit USA often but if I do I always support them, the best airline in NA and one of the best in the world!

I love that chocolate. I tried it 4 years ago in St.moritz and every year when I come back I have to bring as a present. I think it is a little expensive but the best.

Amazing service! I generally fly Air Canada transatlantic and their service is really minimalist in terms of food. So very impressed to see this :)
Food looks amazing!! My experience on Delta, is the food is better based on which airport your at, or which provider serves the food. SkyChefs in Detroit serve terrible food. But whatever provider is in Beijing; they do an excellent job. Seems like the same with Zurich. Awesome review. Delta is stepping up their game especially with their new A350’s and redesigned 777’s; which I will be doing a review for both in July.

You answered the name of the small airfield in the comments below, and I know it's not the one, but what's a similar small airfield near Zürich where they once somehow landed a 747 freighter? I couldn't find the reference now, but I know it had to do with bringing an old small relic airplane or something heavy like that to an aeronautical exhibit. The captain was certainly very skilled, but the huge Jumbo landed safely and later took off almost empty (including fuel) to nearby Zürich and on to its home base.
that must be Dübendorf airfield. its very close to zurich.
At least you had the new IFE which is much nice than the 767-400 I had. I really enjoyed Delta in economy on an international flight, they did indeed feed me a lot. Funny though, we had the EXACT same meal from my flight 9 months ago lol.
I did just fly the DL 767 LAX-JFK in Delta one and it was a nice enough experience.
Looking forward to more.

Delta is the best. When last flew to Rome I was so full from all the good food and drink.
Even Tokyo to Singapore on Delta was really good.
Hope the parents-in-law chocolate survived unscathed. The 2-3-2 layout is my favorite in economy. Delta was my favorite airline until they shut down their DFW Hub in 2005.
My dad worked for Delta at DFW! He quit though when they shut down the hub.

Great video, that economy food did look pretty good.
The food looks a lot better than American or United. Plus a hot towel? Wow. Nice they gave you 2 meals. I am impressed. Flew them to Miami from JFK and they were way better than American or United. Good legroom and a TV screen. And enough toilets.
Delta has really improved its product.
Delta economy is exceptional. Save your money for the vacation you won't regret it.
I flew with delta to amsterdam 5 years ago and absolutely hated it. Looks like they changed a lot. Definately gonna reconsider booking with them for my next overseas trip
Many airport in the USA are not keeping up with the world and JFK is an example. 1.5 hrs to clear customs and immigration is nuts. Some airline like Delta are spending lot,s of money for Airport infrastructure because your fed dont. Delta is now improving very fast.

I just flew delta economy from atlanta to frankfurt and exept for the service it was really bad. the 767s on that route are old, the seats are super cramped, falling apart and the screens are super small. they really need to overhaul the interior of the older 767s.
Flying JFK-CPH in July on Comfort Plus,just hope i get the same service.

I Flew Delhi-Zurich in December on Swiss Air,was the worst flight i had in my almost 50 years of flying,then continued from Zurich to Washington DC on United and was much better.In June i am flying MCO -JFK on Delta Comfort and JFK-ORY on Air France Premium Economy,Then in July MCO-CPH with Delta Comfort Plus.I will post after my trips to see if the service was decent like yours.

I've flown a number of times on Delta transatlantic. Fantastic is not a word I'd describe it as. I think mediocre is a better word

First of all, congrats on you engagement! Loved the trip report as well! Nice that you threw in a little message in the end, it gave it a personal touch. Too bad Delta kinda hates Brussels, it seems like they've been trying to get outta there ever since they started flying to Belgium, so I guess I won't be flying them any time soon :(. Too bad, their eco does look very convincing!

DL probably offers the best Y service of any US carrier.
Delta's product on TATL flight is one of the best I experienced... But I think their A330 is even a bit better than the 767 :)

The a330 seemed the same to me, except it was a 2-4-2 configuration. The entertainment screen was the same. You would not know the plane was made by a different company.

I just booked delta economy to Hawaii and was kinda upset at myself that I didn’t upgrade upon purchase.... until I learned that no one sits in the middle of any delta flight b/c of covid.

I'm going to be flying next summer on a Delta 767 JFK-MAD and an A330 back from BCN for a 2-week birthday vacation...looks like I won't be totally crushed. My seats are going to be slightly behind the wing. Food looks good :) Code share is a funny thing. I booked on the Air France website, it's a Delta plane and has a KLM flight #!!

@@amandeuce Nope. My int'l flight got cancelled (still waiting for refund) and the domestic flights I have e-credit for. I traded in my prepaid vacation, added $63 and booked a trip to Ireand next year at the same time (within a day).

I used to Hate this Airline in my Teens in 1996 West Jet Is a Good Canadian Airline and has expanded a Internatuonal flight to London and Somewhere Else. I did hear Delta has been a huge improvement now. In 1996 when I flew them the Jet was very old and looked like it Dated to 1974 to 1976. There was no Screens or entertainment the whole flight and only Pretzals or Penuts and no meal the entire flight when It used to fly from Edmonton and we had one to 2 stops in Calgary and Salt Lake City in Past before Los Angeles. It's nice delta has been expanding and getting better.

As it looks I really need to consider taking Delta instead of Swiss next time I'm going to NYC! Their product looks very good and modern and since they switched to the A330 now (Airbus fanboy), there isn't any downside in comparison to Swiss now! Btw great video as always! Grüess us Bärn👍😄🇨🇭

The 767 is the most underrated long haul aircraft there is
Because they where a blue collar workhorse, nothing flashy about the airframe, just a solid performer.
My only issue with the 767 is it's quite a bit louder than A330's.
Was that airfield Dübendorf Militärflugplatz?
