Fellow Toro dealer here. These 4000 series units are awesome and hard to beat for the price. Those deck chains/brackets, we just make sure they're cranked down super tight during setup and so far have not had any slip. It must take some seriously rough use to make it slip. I think they're ok, but I wish they'd put micro adjusters simply for ease of leveling the deck.
U are not kidding about drinking the gas I wish it was larger fuel tank The transmission is torque my son 6000 is very responsive and the cut is great ( adjusted baffles)

Only thing I hate so far is the hydro oil change 😤 the Parker pumps were so much easier and have had the deck become unlevel on both mowers
Not sure who thought it was a good idea to put the ignition switch and the throttle/choke on the same side.
