That tone is amazing. If you want to experiment a bit you can change this from a major scale melody to another scale (try phyrigian, harmonic minor or melodic minor).
I’ve been a professional tuba player for 20 years (and an electric player for that long) and I’ve been studying upright bass now for just under 2 years. Seeing this was really cool. I played the beautiful sound study at ever lesson with one of my teachers. It was laminated to his stand. We had to play each note at 60bpm with a metronome and tuner. Each note is a printed eighth note and the last is a whole note, so lots of air control on that to hold the top note and bottom note for eight counts. Thanks. I may start transferring more of my tuba stuff over to my bass playing.

Great suggestion! 👍
OMG Conyers' sound is always so amazing, so warm and expressive. Great vibrato. Goals.

Great to hear it will be played by both a tuba and bass player! It's such a great exercise for both instruments.

Put that on a recording and I could go right to sleep at night. It's a good lullaby. G'night, y'all.
Agreed, it's so peaceful! :-)
Perfect.
Like if you are a bass player, have heard this tuba warm up for years, and are now adding it to your warmup
Where can I find a notated version of this warm up?
