When they adapted Mecano's song into a musical they used this song to depict one of the main character's addiction to drugs.

I was in the Navy, stationed in Spain in the 80’s and Mecano was big and had the best-produced music out of all the bands I heard, altho I also like Ole Ole (with Marta Sanchez). I’m not sure if I’m right about this, but I think Mecano recorded at least some of their stuff in London. Ay Que Pesado is one of my favorites from them.
