hi Tara. Perhaps swimming might be a good exercise while your ankle is sore? Having natural hair is so liberating. I’ve been natural gray for about 5 years now (I’m 54) and even though sometimes I get bored with it, or feel a touch “old”, the benefits outweigh the hassle of dying it. My hair is so healthy too.
I 100% agree with you beautiful mom when she said the dark hair really suits you and gives you a more sophisticated look. Moms really know what they're talking about. Your parents are very kind and supportive to you. I love the relationship you and your parents have. They truly love you. How I miss my mother so!!!
PT here that’s been following you for quite a while!! I would recommend going in to either see a PT or to your doc because you definitely could have a stress fracture (worst case) or pretty severe tendinitis given it’s hurting to walk and go down stairs. The glute and leg strength program might be too advanced to start and you might injure it more :/.
Tara I have been a silent watcher since you were in college! I never comment on videos BUT I just wanted to say I’m 26 years old I have two babies and I married my high school sweetheart. We’ve been together for 11 years & married for 6 so I took a COMPLETELY different route in life than you did BUT with that being said I just wanted to tell you your videos make me feel soooo happy. Your life is so amazing and calming. I absolutely love when you post because it’s like a little retreat and refresh from my busy life. You live your life to the fullest and unapologetically and I just hope and pray that at 29 I can be even just a fraction of unapologetically happy and thriving as you💕 I love being a mom and a wife but something about your videos is helping me finding ME again and it’s been the best. Keep doing you. Keep inspiring 💕
I know it sucks but you should pair runs with strength workouts. That will strengthen your muscles to support your running, which will also prevent injuries as easily. Also stretching and rolling out your muscles will help as well for maintenance! You can look up some runners strength workouts and/or do some strength workout classes on your non-run days. Maybe some ankle strengthening workouts and stretches a few days after your ankle is a little better. You got this!!!
I’ve watched your vlogs forever and you look your best with this dark hair and your natural look …You are a beautiful person Tara … natural everything natural just fits you… looks classy without drama which is very much your vibe on the vlogs 🤙🏽
I appreciate the brief call out on valentines day. Some ppl just have to overly opine the positives and negatives about the day. Oh i agree with everyone commenting to see a doc and physio therapist. I strongly recommend seeing both. We don't mess with injuries to sensitive areas like your ankle. The PT will also help devise a program to help strengthen your body to prevent future issues
When I had really bad tendinitis one thing that helped me was seeing a podiatrist and they told me the arch in my foot was too low and I didn’t have the proper running shoes and therefore I was causing too much stress on my foot and ankle! Maybe it could be just as simple as changing your running shoes or possibly even getting inserts to help cushion your heel/ arch of your foot when you’re running and better support your ankle! (:
I love travel vlogs but man, at home vlogs just hit different!! It was SO good 🥰 I’m super single this Valentine’s Day but I am doing a self care day and getting my hair done! Then I’ll make the pillsbury Valentine’s Day cookies! I hope you have a great Valentine’s Day! Also, I’m loving the dark hair on you 😍🤍
Definitely keep doing the ice compresses on the ankle, keep it elevated when you're sitting down, keep doing the Aleve, I'd also recommend getting a brace to use on your ankle when you're doing more activities like the stairs and walking. The compression from a brace can offer more stability so its straining your ankle less, and the compression can alleviate the pain too. Just don't wear it constantly, only use it when you're going to be standing for longer periods of time. Hope you get better soon ❤️
Book in to see a massage therapist. The ligament is strained or damaged any muscles around it that are tight will increase your pain. Because the can pull in an irritated ligaments. Also Adrian’s glutes and legs is brutal hard. Loved it.
The dark hair and natural tan really suits you! I love seeing that more people are embracing their natural beauty! And as a bonus, it's much less maintenance 🙌
I thought I couldn’t love the dark hair more than you made it darker. I LOVE it. And girl think about all the money you’ll save since it’s your natural color?! A natural queen! ❤
I spent a whole day with my family on Saturday and much as I love them all. It was so nice to get myself home to my own space, so I understand how you feel x😊
I know it's been days;but welcome back. The dark hair is really giving, the best of both worlds. Even though you didn't look old;the dark hair adds sophistication, and youth.
I didn’t realise til now how much I’ve been challenging my inner Tara 😅 getting into working work, doing things that make me happy, travelling and tomorrow I’m going back to my natural brunette Hope your foot is healed soon my lovely so you can continue smashing your goals 😊💜
If you want to keep up cardio and have access to a pool, swimming is a great option! Or maybe even cycle classes. But strength workouts are def a good move
My husband and i are headed to the desert in Utah, US for Valentines Day to reset and camp with our 2 pups. We live in the city with busy jobs and just cannot wait to check out, hike, and breathe.
Omggg tell Sarah her hair looks great and that camel colored coat looks incred with her hair and skin tone! She looks beautiful!! Ahhh and Tara you are always a beaut too!😊💕
Tara the dark hair is beautiful on you and the light hair is also beautiful on you! You are beautiful and it's fun to switch things up 😍I hope your ankle heals faster than expected ❤
I’m a big fan of peanut sauce! In case you’re interested, it’s quite simple to make from scratch. The only real effort is stirring consistently. The ingredients are straight forward; sautéed garlic & ginger, peanut butter, soy sauce, honey and sriracha (and or your chili crunch), slowly stir in water throughout the heating process to the consistency of your liking. You can adjust the sweet, salty and spicy levels along the way. Voilá! Simple and delicious. My particular fave…pairing it with gyoza. Yum! Welcome back home Tara. Hope your foot heals pronto!
Honestly, the dark hair looks fabulous on you! It gives Euro vibes, love it! And you don’t need Botox at your age, the expression lines are badges of honor! You’re looking better than ever!
i never comment….. but TARA!!!!! your hair…. LOOKS AMAZING. i’m actually obsessed it looks so good!!!! also your vlogs just put me in the best mindset! thank you for sharing your life 🥺💜
I had tendonitis in my knee and it took physical therapy to get rid of it, was the same thing - overuse injury from working out. PT made a world of difference though so I totally recommend!
As someone who has had Achilles tendinitis here are some tips: wear good, lightweight sneakers with support anytime you walk anywhere! Ice your ankle multiple times a day, I highly recommend sticking your whole foot in a bucket of ice water (it sucks but really helps). And Epsom salt baths are great for it also!! Hope this helps and hope your ankle feels better soon! 🫶🏻
That adorable sweatshirt you got in Paris was such a good buy. You really love it. And it’s so sweet, it even reminds ME of your trip and I remember what the shop looked like on the inside too. Hope your ankle heals quickly, they are infamous for being painful for forever after they’re injured.
My hubby and I have been married for a little over a year. Unfortunately he has to work late so I am going to dinner with my parents and then will celebrate with my hubby when he gets home. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!!❤️🥰
What helped me a lot when I would sprain my ankles dancing. Hot water with epsom salt then switch immediately to ice water. And interval between the two. Then once healed try some barre classes or yoga classes to strengthen the ankles.
I had the same ankle problem when I started running about a year ago. I iced my shins actually because shin splints can Caus ur ankle to hurt like that. And it was a big change!! I also did ankle strengthening exercises.
Cross training is key to preventing injury. Yoga, Pilates, and cycling are great compliments for running. And when you do resume running starting at a slower pace while focusing on breathing helps so that you are not exhaling on your dominant foot.
As someone with an ankle injury from over 2 years ago, cannot recommend physio or another rehab program enough! The sooner you start any rehabilitation treatment, the better. I didn’t, and I still suffer from my injury.
One of the hard parts about going darker with hair dye is that you normally (in natural hair) have highlights and lowlights. The box dyes give one flat color. I think that takes a lot to get used to. Then as it fades it changes color. Well, for me my hair normally had blonde highlights but the box dye gave me reddish hues even though I used an ash brown dye. It's why so many actresses when they try to go to their root color after being blonde, don't like it. Hair naturally is somewhat darker at the roots than the ends. The other aspect is that using the same color dye on dark hair will progressively make your hair darker each time you dye it. I like the dark hair on you. i guess I mentioned all those things because if it still takes getting used to in another month this can all be food for thought on what direction to take. While going dark seems simpler than getting it lightened, it can be just as complicated.
I have peroneal tendinitis too, and I’ve been dealing with it for years 😩 I’m getting cortisone for it next month, so I would suggest doing everything you can sooner rather than later so it can heal ASAP! There are UA-cam videos for stretches and exercises for it as well. I totally understand the frustration but it can get a lot worse if ignored (as I’ve learned the hard way). Voltaran helps with the inflammation and wearing supportive shoes. Hope this helps! Good luck! 😊
glad your home, safe and sound 😊 i feel you on the independence girl. as much as i love family time, i got to have me-time too. unwind, reflect and then go back in lol 😅 also, the dark hair is a bold new look for you! i don't think you've ever been this dark before. not gonna lie, it's gonna take time to get adjusted but overall, it does suit you 💜
Husband has school after work tomorrow night so we're going to have surf n turf tonight at our house. I'll be celebrating tomorrow while he's at school with an adult beverage and new Love is Blind!
Happy V-day Tara! Sorry to be a back seat doctor, haha, but I would limit how much you're icing your ankle. Imflammation is actually necessary for sprain recovery as it promotes blood flow/oxygen to the injury. You can definitely ice here and there for 15 mins to help with pain if it's hurting a lot, but the newest research shows too much can slow down recovery. Praying for a speedy recovery regardless, we're here for you! Also you're so inspiring! Thanks for being unapologetically you and sharing your life with us :)
Tendinitis *pro* here haha R.I.C.E rest ice compression (wrap it in an ace wrap or compression brace) & elevate. You’ve got to stay off the foot or it will NEVER get better only worse PERIOD! Tendinitis can get so bad you’ll end up in a cast. Do not do that leg & glute challenge: stick to seated core (no planks) hands & knees glute exercises, & seated upper body weights (kneeling planks/pushups are okay but not on toes) I truly hope you get better very soon! ❤
Tip with your ankle (April 2023 I broke and dislocated my left ankle, bone popped through skin and damaged ligaments, sober in my back yard just slipped on grass, now have a plate and 7 pins holding my ankle in place ) elevat your foot as often as you can, ibuprofen gel was/is my best friend along with the ice pack. Elevation prevents swelling but I would seek doctor advice if not improving xXx
Be careful with yourself you’re very important!!! Also I’m married and I’ve always hated Valentine’s Day so I’m on Vancouver Island to see my mom 😎🤷🏻♀️🥳
just a tiny heads up. When you start running again. Have more then 1 pair of running shooes, different brand. Shooes have different pressure points when running. PT too and totally agree!
Was going to recommend the same and glad to see a pro agrees. I had an lcl strain from a skiing accident and I swear by PT.
OT here and i was gonna say the same!!!

I’m going out for a meal with my boyfriend this Valentine’s Day and then just having a chilled night in with him. ❤
The leather jacket with the dark hair>>>
I need the consistency that Tara has lol I love that I can count on an upload
Tip from someone with a history of ankle and knee injuries: using an ace elastic bandage to stabilize the ankle when walking helps!
Omg the blue green jacket is SOOO GOOD
Husband has school after work tomorrow night so we're going to have surf n turf tonight at our house. I'll be celebrating tomorrow while he's at school with an adult beverage and new Love is Blind!
For the injury I’d suggest anti inflammatory diet. Low carb, high protein and rest. Love the dark hair!
I LOVE the dark hair on you! Such a slayyyy

the one lone Christmas tree on the shelf in the kitchen 😆 I couldn't help but notice it!
Love the hair looks very good. It’s been nice here in MN we’ve been in the 50’s a few days now it’s gonna get colder by the weekend.
Your hair looks soooo gorgeous ♥the dark looks soooo beautiful on you!
I have some individual serving of guacamole in the house, the spring mix and the leftover cooked chicken. Making that salad!
Be careful with yourself you’re very important!!!
Also I’m married and I’ve always hated Valentine’s Day so I’m on Vancouver Island to see my mom 😎🤷🏻♀️🥳
Obsessed with the dark brown hair 😍!
just a tiny heads up. When you start running again. Have more then 1 pair of running shooes, different brand. Shooes have different pressure points when running. So changing shoes gives different support and pressure so your feet dont gets so easy hurt by running and training. so dont use the same pair of shooes every time.
Obsessssed with this dark hair! Looks amazing
I just have to say, I am loving the dark hair!!!!

You look fantastic with darker hair, it suits you soo well !
I’m obsessed with the dark hair!
Also you have to try ranch seasoning on your green beans after you cook them
Sooooo good
The green/teal from your coat looks so good on you!! Have you looked into your colour season? That can always help with fashion decisions!! 😊💖
Tara, the hair looks so goodddd😭!!!
Loving the darker hair!
