Oscar and Emmy winner Kate Winslet is set to star in and executive produce The Spot, a new drama series for Hulu, developed in collaboration with A24 and 20th Television. The series, which has been given a straight-to-series order, comes from acclaimed writer and showrunner Ed Solomon, known for his work on Full Circle and Men in Black.
The Spot follows the intense story of a successful surgeon, played by Winslet, who, along with her schoolteacher husband, begins to suspect that she may be responsible for a child's hit-and-run death. As they delve deeper into the incident, they uncover dark secrets that threaten their marriage, forcing them to confront the possibility of hidden guilt and betrayal.
Winslet, known for her powerful performances in series like Mare of Easttown and Mildred Pierce, will also be executive producing the series through her production company, Juggle Productions.
