After checking out this and a bunch of Purson's songs, I am now a fan. To me, they are a wonderful cross between Iron Butterfly, Sabbath, The Strawberry Alarm Clock and the Beatles with an awesome singer who rings like Siouxie Sioux. DIG. IT.
+mike night saw them last night in detroit. they were pretty good. ghost was really amazing. 1st time i've seen ghost live and i knew they'd be good from watching vids on here, but i was blown away. best live band i've ever seen!!!
+dettigs Ah, dettigs...we meet again. Lol. I too was at the Detroit gig last night, and was happy to finally see Purson live. The Circle and the Blue Door is an excellent album.
Outstanding psychaedelia from UK! It really seems that the rising winds of global uprising shaking the world's entrails are a total benefit for this contemporary wave of psychaedelic Rock! Cheers with beers from Belgium!
good things from two great bands. I dont know, but this strikes me as a style that would just a little bit before purple. The bands at the time listened to other bands and strived to be harder than the others
@@maddzavala1795 sorry for the super late reply, but yeah she's a solo artist now but she does work with several musicians and still makes this type of music.
Not David Bowie, hell no, he sucks..cant stand that fudgy Johnny.. Jefferson Airplane yes, they had great music and light shows, too similar vibe at times, Rosalie looks sort of like Grace, similar vocal sound too.. similar vibe. A little bit of Doors and Sabbath maybe, but not any gender bender Bowie bullshit..This is hippie music, not glammy fudgy music.
All the swings and roundabouts Have gone to join the fair And they went there leaning on a bear Look in all the magazines see Their names are printed there And the news is flying round the square Champion tightrope walker cry the crowd They don't see this game is just a shroud In the land of hopes and dreams Children swarm like flies All around the fountain of soft lies Messages to kill or be killed Tattooed on the back of their eyelids In their sleep attack Creeps back to his cave to watch the fight They will take the bait like fish tonight See the circus ringleader He's counting in his den See him snacking on the souls of men Creeps back to his cave to watch the fight They will take the bait like fish tonight
I have a female fronted doom(ish) band/side project in the vein of Blood Ceremony and Mount Salem with an amazing vocalist and ran across Purson a while back when looking for some examples to give tot he other musicians. Purson has rapidly become one of my favorite bands, can't wait to get the new album! I bought the Rocking Horse EP and play it constantly. So Purson is an influence on this new project for sure!
wow ok im catching up on who Rosalie is im astounded and i can t believe i didnt see her long ago she is a virtuoso maestro been listening to rosalie album long time till i asked myself who she is then it all turns into Purson etc...... what a talent and ravishing beauty modern day Elvira stunning beauty
Congrats guys! I've been streaming the album for a couple of days now and it is brilliant. Can't wait for my vinyl to arrive :) Oh and happy birthday Rosie!
This band reminds me of Jefferson Airplane, and when the lead singer sings it reminds me of a mixture of Debbie Harrison, Joan Jett, and Grace Slick smashed together. She also kind of reminds me of Cher too! haha
Wonderful! Do you know, I was just thinking to myself the other day that there aren't enough rock videos featuring puppet lions puffing on a chillum... : )
great groove...minor guitar chords and keyboard riffs are beautifully heavy -wonderful retro recording...wondering how it would sound if you took this incredible music and framed a more modern drum tone around it ...like how she takes full advantage of the SG's quirky tonal qualities and marries it to those chords -kind of a late 60's Black Sabbath basement tape feel to it -she's basically getting a heavy tone without need of 9 distortion pedals or 17 tracks of reinforcing guitar layers
Why am I just finding this now?!?!?!?
This is a MASTERPIECE!!!!!🤘🤘🤘
Search for Rosalie Cunningham to find the newest material.
To be played LOUD!! 🎶
Absolutely LOVE this band! Purson rocks!
she is so beautiful!
Love to see Rosalie tour the states with Ruby the Hatchet! 🔥Make it happen!🔥
Love the 70's prog sound. Great band.
I can't stop looping this album!
Beyond wonderful. Love psychedelic/prog/rock/punk/gothness! And she is a fantastic front person!

Sounds good. I love Purson and I love Blood Ceremony
Love the album....listened on our way to The Willow Festival and it fired us up beautifully for our show that night ;) Many thanks, top band.
Wow, a unique band with a unique style?
Incredible!
Fuckin brilliant.. This band is the best thing to happen this decade actually make that just for a long time!
Makes me think of early Mark II Deep Purple with female vocals. I like it!
It’s simply brilliant how they capture the 70s sound so close
Siouxsie in the 70s...
To add to my previous comment best vinyl purchase ever, get out to Australia would you already... Tripping to this is beyond awesome
Love this band. Fantastic song. Want this on vinyl!!

Amazing band !!!!!!! ♡
Got the download when I ordered the vinyl, it's great!!
We tried to join the Illuminati but they said they only let rappers and A list celebrities join, I guess we will just have to start our own cult.
Cults suck, just rock out, let the music do the talking.
Haha, Humanity Cult
Illuminati slid in my dms.
This is the manifestation of coolness, love it!
so this is who is opening for ghost. cool. cant wait for that show.

Absolutely brilliant

Wonderful band!!
Love that psychedelic feel.
The intro reminds me of Uriah Heep and Deep Purple. Fantastic! So cool to hear bands like this these days.
Yes definitely a Heep/Purple thing going on there .... It's bloody good :)
good things from two great bands. I dont know, but this strikes me as a style that would just a little bit before purple. The bands at the time listened to other bands and strived to be harder than the others
IMHO she sounds more like Sonia Christina than anyone else.
Amazing track!
So glad I got to see them live before they broke up. Even got to speak with Rosalie. She's still making music too.
Does she have another band now a days?
@@maddzavala1795 sorry for the super late reply, but yeah she's a solo artist now but she does work with several musicians and still makes this type of music.
Very Good!
My favorite song is Spider Wood Forest.
Greeting from Brazil!
This is how Rock should be played but rarely ever is.
Fantastic. Best new band I've heard in years.
happy birthday rosalie. keep it up!!!!!!
This is great a flare of David Bowie,Jefferson Airplane and Black Sabbath with great guitars and a great cool deep dramatic voice!!
+adriana adriana Jefferson Airplane! That is the flavor I was thinking of! This band is so awesome!
jefferson airplane x the doors + a sprinkle of black sabbath to taste

Great album, stunning woman
Hey! Love your album.... Greetings from India!!!
One of the best bands EVER!
All the swings and roundabouts
Have gone to join the fair
And they went there leaning on a bear
Look in all the magazines see
Their names are printed there
And the news is flying round the square
Champion tightrope walker cry the crowd
They don't see this game is just a shroud
In the land of hopes and dreams
Children swarm like flies
All around the fountain of soft lies
Messages to kill or be killed
Tattooed on the back of their eyelids
In their sleep attack
Creeps back to his cave to watch the fight
They will take the bait like fish tonight
See the circus ringleader
He's counting in his den
See him snacking on the souls of men
Creeps back to his cave to watch the fight
They will take the bait like fish tonight
I love this, brilliant

Hell yeah, great band, I am impressed... :)

Lastfm recommended me this band because I like Jex Thoth and Sabbath Assembly. What a great band!! Really addictive!!

Just ordered the LP after reading about the band in PROG mag.Great looking and sounding band!
Glorious stuff. Also eagerly waiting for the upcoming Hexvessel EP with Rosalie on the guest vox.

Excellent!
What bar is this??? Too cool
This is cool as hell
Cool video!
Love this band! :)
Aggh why don't I know such cool people like these guys
We need some new Purson!
Late to the party as I only just found out about them and I'm adding them to my muse playlist as I draw!!!!
This band reminds me of Jefferson Airplane, and when the lead singer sings it reminds me of a mixture of Debbie Harrison, Joan Jett, and Grace Slick smashed together. She also kind of reminds me of Cher too! haha
I'm surprised that i see no comparisons to Ann Wilson of Heart
this song makes me feel a strange form of nostalgia.
Probably because this was the kind of music I listened to in the 70's. They have the 70's look too with a bit of goth.
@@cree8vision wow that comment was 4 years ago. I'm 25 now lol. Still jamming this
@@Lee-sf7nw Cool. Nice to hear a reply. Too bad they they didn't continue on. They broke up but Rosalie is a solo artist now.
@@cree8vision welp, time to listen to her solo stuff
@@cree8vision rosalie what?
so good
Excellent! Refreshing to hear a real band these days!
PURSON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder which bar is this. because it must be some of their local pubs or something.
Wonderful! Do you know, I was just thinking to myself the other day that there aren't enough rock videos featuring puppet lions puffing on a chillum... : )
GREATNESS!
Been having your album on repeat for a few weeks now. i'm scared I'll grow tired of it some day. When will you release a new album? :)
When is the album coming out? I must have!!
That was a cool album
talk about 'going there'. I'm in.
Very Good
Good job :-)!!
Rock on!
All right, you have my attention.
Marc Riley brought me here...literally. Excellent track!

weird stuff... i love it!
i want a copy of this album!!!! :) lemme know the price + postage to malaysia :)
these cats are DAMN good musicians!
Excellent. John Peel would have been proud

I love how most people don’t realize how awesome it is that she is worshipping the demon Purson from the Ars Goetia
3,666 subscriber. Cheers.
Do they have an album out yet?
Yes, you can buy it on their website
You can preorder on metalblade's website
sounds very much like Deep Purple with great organ + guitar sounds
Love the way the video is shot! Not that stupid slow motion hipster band bullshit. Portlandia filters.
saw them last year, fell in love with them, met the lead singer, and liked them better than ghost. sorry not sorry.
Vinyl?
As long as it has regular coffee breaks with custard bream biscuits in-between the bacchanalia, I'm in.
WHOA, WE'RE HALFWAY THERE
WHO-OAH LEANING ON A BEAR
Oh my god...
Looks like it was filmed at an Alice In Wonderland club night in London in around 1985. If you were there, you know what I mean...
