Very nice film.
Thanx muchly for sharing!
Thanx for a lovely nostalgia trip.
I was 14 when I visited the World's Fair. I remember seeing what was featured in this film, and more. I remember the sights, but mostly I remember how it felt to just be there. Part of the experience. Part of the gathering. Part of the curiosity and wonder.
Peace through understanding.
I think we all achieved it, that long-ago day, at the Fair.
Thanx again, for sharing!
Interesting video and piece of history. Thanks for sharing these priceless memorable moments!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I was at the fair once in 1964 and several times in 65. It was truly a magical experience as a young child. Those good times are gone but the memories live on.
The best NYWF film I have seen. Thanks
Nice film. Love the shots from the towers looking out. Shows eastern airlines, and what you did in Manhattan that day. Cool.
Excellent Film ! I was there in my Mother's belly. Mom and Dad brought my Grandmother and Grandfather to the World's Fair in 1964 a few months before I was born... So I was kinda there. Thank you for this great film
Ladies & Gentlemen. This is the best amateur video I have seen regarding the NY WF.
Please provide the names of the accompanying soundtracks.
Look at the Description box.
Scroll down to just above 'Transcript', and three songs are listed.
It struck me that in the 2nd year of the fair, the Beatles were across the road at Shea Stadium (which is visible in this video). The car park must have been busy!
you r a genius😊😊
A Lockheed Constellation at 1:10. Cool.
GE in Schenectady!
I like how nicely most people are dressed. Contrast that to today. Yikes.
I also think the same on that. Even band members of the 60s wore coats and ties, forget about them wearing that today. They go on stage half naked, I don't even listen to any music from past the early 70s. I don't even watch movies from past the early 70s. I was born in Brooklyn NY in 1961 and was taken to the 1964 fair at age 3 by my foster parents at that time, and still have memories of most of the day and night there.
I was born in Brooklyn NY in 1961. I was taken to the NY World Fair in 1964 at age 3. I remember most of the day and night there, wow, memories.
Its now a depressing joint where english is seldom spoken.
